1	죄없애는제물을 아론이 바쳐라 여호와께서 모세에게 말씀하셨다. 아론의 두 아들이 여호와 앞에 가까이 갔다가 죽고 난 뒤였다.	And the Lord spake unto Moses after the death of the two sons of Aaron, when they offered before the Lord, and died;
2	여호와께서 모세에게 말씀하셨다. “너의 형 아론에게 말해 주어서 그가 나눔막 안 거룩한곳(성소), 상자(궤) 위의 덮개 앞으로 아무 때나 들어오지 못하게 하여라. 그러면 그가 죽지 아니할 것이다. 내가 덮개 위의 구름 가운데서 나타날 것이기 때문이다.	And the Lord said unto Moses, Speak unto Aaron thy brother, that he come not at all times into the holy place within the vail before the mercy seat, which is upon the ark; that he die not: for I will appear in the cloud upon the mercy seat.
3	아론이 거룩한곳(성소)으로 들어오려면, 죄없애는제물(속죄제물)로는 소 떼에서 수송아지 한 마리를 끌고 와야 한다. 또 다태우는제물(번제물)로는 숫양 한 마리를 끌고 와야 한다.	Thus shall Aaron come into the holy place: with a young bullock for a sin offering, and a ram for a burnt offering.
4	아론은 거룩한 리넨 통옷을 입고, 맨살에는 리넨 속바지를 올려 입어야 한다. 또 리넨 장식 띠를 띠고, 리넨 머리 두르개를 둘러야 한다. 이것들이 거룩한 옷이다. 아론은 물로 몸을 씻고 옷을 입어야 한다.	He shall put on the holy linen coat, and he shall have the linen breeches upon his flesh, and shall be girded with a linen girdle, and with the linen mitre shall he be attired: these are holy garments; therefore shall he wash his flesh in water, and so put them on.
5	아론은 이스라엘 사람들의 무리에게서 죄없애는제물(속죄제물)로 숫염소 두 마리를 받아야 한다. 다태우는제물(번제물)로 숫양 한 마리도 받아야 한다.	And he shall take of the congregation of the children of Israel two kids of the goats for a sin offering, and one ram for a burnt offering.
6	아론은 자신을 위한 죄없애는제물(속죄제물)로 수송아지를 바쳐, 자신과 집안의 죄를 없애야 한다.	And Aaron shall offer his bullock of the sin offering, which is for himself, and make an atonement for himself, and for his house.
7	숫염소 두 마리를 마련하여, 만남의 천막 입구의 여호와 앞에 끌어다 두어야 한다.	And he shall take the two goats, and present them before the Lord at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation.
8	아론은 그 숫염소 두 마리를 놓고 제비를 뽑아야 한다. 한 제비에는 ‘여호와에게 바칠 것’이라고 표시하고, 다른 한 제비에는 ‘아사셀에게 줄 것’이라고 표시해야 한다.	And Aaron shall cast lots upon the two goats; one lot for the Lord, and the other lot for the scapegoat.
9	아론은 여호와에게 바칠 것으로 뽑힌 숫염소를 끌어다가 죄없애는제물(속죄제물)로 바쳐야 한다.	And Aaron shall bring the goat upon which the Lord’s lot fell, and offer him for a sin offering.
10	아사셀에게 줄 것으로 뽑힌 숫염소는 여호와 앞에 살려 두었다가 그 죄를 없애고 나서, 광야의 아사셀에게로 보내야 한다.	But the goat, on which the lot fell to be the scapegoat, shall be presented alive before the Lord, to make an atonement with him, and to let him go for a scapegoat into the wilderness.
11	아론은 자신을 위한 죄없애는제물(속죄제물)로 수송아지를 바쳐, 자신과 집안의 죄를 없애야 한다. 자신을 위한 죄없애는제물(속죄제물)로 수송아지를 잡아야 한다.	And Aaron shall bring the bullock of the sin offering, which is for himself, and shall make an atonement for himself, and for his house, and shall kill the bullock of the sin offering which is for himself:
12	여호와 앞의 제단 위에 있는 숯불을 들통(향로)에 가득 담아야 한다. 양손에는 곱게 간 향기로운 향가루를 가득 쥐고 나눔막 안으로 들여와야 한다.	And he shall take a censer full of burning coals of fire from off the altar before the Lord, and his hands full of sweet incense beaten small, and bring it within the vail:
13	향가루를 여호와 앞의 숯불 위에 두어, 향의 연기가 증언상자 위의 덮개를 가리게 해야 한다. 그러면 그가 죽지 아니할 것이다.	And he shall put the incense upon the fire before the Lord, that the cloud of the incense may cover the mercy seat that is upon the testimony, that he die not:
14	또 수송아지의 피를 조금 받아다가, 손가락으로 덮개 위에서 동쪽으로 뿌려야 한다. 덮개 앞에도 손가락으로 일곱 번 피를 뿌려야 한다.	And he shall take of the blood of the bullock, and sprinkle it with his finger upon the mercy seat eastward; and before the mercy seat shall he sprinkle of the blood with his finger seven times.
15	아론은 백성을 위한 죄없애는제물(속죄제물)로 숫염소를 잡아야 한다. 그 피는 나눔막 안으로 가져와서 수송아지의 피에 대해서 했듯이 해야 한다. 덮개 위와 앞에 뿌려야 한다.	Then shall he kill the goat of the sin offering, that is for the people, and bring his blood within the vail, and do with that blood as he did with the blood of the bullock, and sprinkle it upon the mercy seat, and before the mercy seat:
16	그래서 거룩한곳(성소)의 죄를 없애 주어야 한다. 이스라엘 사람들의 여러 가지 더러움, 그들의 여러 죄, 온갖 잘못 때문이다. 그들의 더러움 한가운데 그들과 함께 서 있는 만남의 천막에도 이렇게 해야 한다.	And he shall make an atonement for the holy place, because of the uncleanness of the children of Israel, and because of their transgressions in all their sins: and so shall he do for the tabernacle of the congregation, that remaineth among them in the midst of their uncleanness.
17	아론이 거룩한곳(성소)의 죄를 없애려고 들어왔다가 나갈 때까지 어떤 사람도 만남의 천막 안에 있어서는 안 된다. 아론이 자신과 자기 집안과 이스라엘 온 모임을 위해 그렇게 해야 한다.	And there shall be no man in the tabernacle of the congregation when he goeth in to make an atonement in the holy place, until he come out, and have made an atonement for himself, and for his household, and for all the congregation of Israel.
18	그는 여호와 앞의 제단으로 나가서 제단의 죄를 없애야 한다. 수송아지의 피와 숫염소의 피를 조금 받아 가지고 제단 사방의 뿔에 발라야 한다.	And he shall go out unto the altar that is before the Lord, and make an atonement for it; and shall take of the blood of the bullock, and of the blood of the goat, and put it upon the horns of the altar round about.
19	그 피를 제단 위에 손가락으로 일곱 번 뿌려서, 제단을 깨끗하고 거룩하게 해야 한다. 이스라엘 사람들이 더럽혔기 때문이다.”	And he shall sprinkle of the blood upon it with his finger seven times, and cleanse it, and hallow it from the uncleanness of the children of Israel.
20	숫염소에 모든 잘못의 짐을 지워 내보내라 “그가 거룩한곳(성소)과 만남의 천막과 제단의 죄를 없애는 것을 마치면, 살아 있는 숫염소를 바쳐야 한다.	And when he hath made an end of reconciling the holy place, and the tabernacle of the congregation, and the altar, he shall bring the live goat:
21	아론은 살아 있는 숫염소의 머리에 두 손을 얹어야 한다. 그러고는 그 위에서 이스라엘 사람들의 허물과 잘못과 죄를 다 고백해야 한다. 숫염소의 머리 위로 모든 것을 옮겨 놓아야 한다. 그러고는 기다리게 해 놓았던 사람을 시켜 숫염소를 광야로 내보내야 한다.	And Aaron shall lay both his hands upon the head of the live goat, and confess over him all the iniquities of the children of Israel, and all their transgressions in all their sins, putting them upon the head of the goat, and shall send him away by the hand of a fit man into the wilderness:
22	숫염소는 그들이 저지른 모든 잘못의 짐을 지고 거친 땅으로 나아가야 한다. 이렇게 숫염소를 광야로 내보내야 한다.	And the goat shall bear upon him all their iniquities unto a land not inhabited: and he shall let go the goat in the wilderness.
23	아론이 만남의 천막으로 들어와야 한다. 그러고는 거룩한곳(성소)에 들어올 때 입고 있었던 리넨 옷을 벗어야 한다. 벗은 옷은 거기에 두어야 한다.	And Aaron shall come into the tabernacle of the congregation, and shall put off the linen garments, which he put on when he went into the holy place, and shall leave them there:
24	거룩한곳(성소)에서 물로 몸을 씻고서는 자기 옷을 입고 나가야 한다. 자신이 가져온 다태우는제물(번제물)과 백성이 가져온 다태우는제물(번제물)을 바쳐, 자신과 백성을 위해 죄를 없애야 한다.	And he shall wash his flesh with water in the holy place, and put on his garments, and come forth, and offer his burnt offering, and the burnt offering of the people, and make an atonement for himself, and for the people.
25	죄없애는제물(속죄제물)의 기름은 제단에서 태워 연기로 바쳐야 한다.	And the fat of the sin offering shall he burn upon the altar.
26	숫염소를 아사셀에게로 내보낸 사람도 옷을 빨고 물로 몸을 씻어야 한다. 그러고 나서야 진영 안으로 들어올 수 있다.	And he that let go the goat for the scapegoat shall wash his clothes, and bathe his flesh in water, and afterward come into the camp.
27	거룩한곳(성소)의 죄를 없앨 때 제물의 피를 썼는데, 그렇게 죄없애는제물(속죄제물)로 삼은 수송아지와 숫염소는 진영 밖으로 끌어내야 한다. 그 가죽과 살과 똥은 불로 태워 버려야 한다.	And the bullock for the sin offering, and the goat for the sin offering, whose blood was brought in to make atonement in the holy place, shall one carry forth without the camp; and they shall burn in the fire their skins, and their flesh, and their dung.
28	제물을 불태운 사람도 옷을 빨고 물로 몸을 씻어야 한다. 그러고 나서야 진영 안으로 들어올 수 있다.”	And he that burneth them shall wash his clothes, and bathe his flesh in water, and afterward he shall come into the camp.
29	죄없애는날에 관한 규정 “너희에게 영원한 규정이 될 것이 하나 있다. 일곱째 달 열째 날에는 자기 욕구를 억누르고 아무 일도 하지 마라. 토박이든 너희 가운데 나그네로 살고 있는 사람이든 마찬가지이다.	And this shall be a statute for ever unto you: that in the seventh month, on the tenth day of the month, ye shall afflict your souls, and do no work at all, whether it be one of your own country, or a stranger that sojourneth among you:
30	이날에 너희의 죄를 없애 너희를 깨끗하게 해야 하기 때문이다. 너희는 너희의 모든 죄에서 벗어나 여호와 앞에서 깨끗해야 한다.	For on that day shall the priest make an atonement for you, to cleanse you, that ye may be clean from all your sins before the Lord.
31	이날은 너희가 참으로 쉬는 안식일이다. 자기 욕구를 억눌러야 한다. 이것은 영원한 규정이다.	It shall be a sabbath of rest unto you, and ye shall afflict your souls, by a statute for ever.
32	기름부음을 받고 아버지에 뒤이어 제사장 일을 맡은 제사장이 죄를 없애 주어야 한다. 그 제사장은 리넨 옷, 거룩한 옷을 입어야 한다.	And the priest, whom he shall anoint, and whom he shall consecrate to minister in the priest’s office in his father’s stead, shall make the atonement, and shall put on the linen clothes, even the holy garments:
33	그는 거룩거룩한곳(지성소)과 만남의 천막과 제단의 죄를 없애고, 제사장들과 온 백성 곧 모인 무리의 죄를 없애 주어야 한다.	And he shall make an atonement for the holy sanctuary, and he shall make an atonement for the tabernacle of the congregation, and for the altar, and he shall make an atonement for the priests, and for all the people of the congregation.
34	이것은 너희에게 영원한 규정이 될 것이다. 1년에 한 번 이스라엘 사람들이 저지른 죄를 다 없애는 규정이다.” 그는 여호와께서 모세에게 명령하신 대로 했다.	And this shall be an everlasting statute unto you, to make an atonement for the children of Israel for all their sins once a year. And he did as the Lord commanded Moses.
