절	새한글성경 (2024)	King James Version
1	기도에 대한 가르침 그러므로 권유하네. 무엇보다도 먼저 모든 사람들을 위해서 탄원 기도, 기도, 중재 기도, 감사 기도를 하시게.	I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men;
2	임금들과 높은 지위에 있는 모든 사람들을 위해서도 그리하시게. 그리하여 우리가 모든 면에서 경건하고 고결하게, 말썽 없고 조용한 생활을 해 나갈 수 있도록 말일세.	For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.
3	이것은 우리의 구원자 하나님이 보시기에 좋은 일이며 기꺼이 받아들여 주실 만한 일이네.	For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour;
4	하나님이 바라시는 것은 모든 사람이 구원받는 것과 또 진리를 깨달아 아는 데 이르는 것이네.	Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.
5	하나님은 한 분이시고, 하나님과 사람 사이에 중보자도 한 분이시네. 곧 사람이신 그리스도 예수님일세.	For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;
6	그분이 모두를 죄에서 풀어 주기 위한 몸값으로 스스로를 대신 내주셨네. 이것은 적절한 때에 주신 증거라네.	Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time.
7	이를 위해 하나님이 바로 나를 선포자와 사도로 세우셨네. 내가 참말을 하고 있지, 거짓말하는 것이 아닐세. 나는 믿음과 진리로 다른 민족들을 가르치는 교사일세.	Whereunto I am ordained a preacher, and an apostle, (I speak the truth in Christ, and lie not;) a teacher of the Gentiles in faith and verity.
8	하나님을 받들어 모시는 사람들이 지녀야 할 모습 그러므로 나는 모든 곳에서 남자들이 기도하기를 바라네. 화내거나 말다툼하는 일이 없이, 고결한 손을 들고서 말일세.	I will therefore that men pray every where, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting.
9	마찬가지로 여자들은 단정한 복장을 하고서 수수하고 절제 있게 스스로를 꾸미기 바라네. 머리를 화려하게 땋거나 금이나 진주나 값비싼 옷으로 꾸미지 않기를 바라네.	In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety; not with broided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array;
10	하나님을 받들어 모시기로 공언한 여자들에게 어울리는 것, 곧 선한 행동으로 꾸며야 하네.	But (which becometh women professing godliness) with good works.
11	여자는 모든 일에서 자기 도리를 지키면서 조용히 배워야 하네.	Let the woman learn in silence with all subjection.
12	나는 가르치는 것을 여자들에게 허락하지 않네. 남자를 자기 마음대로 하려는 것도 허락하지 않네. 여자는 조용히 있어야 하네.	But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence.
13	아담이 먼저 지으심을 받았고, 그다음이 하와였으니까 말일세.	For Adam was first formed, then Eve.
14	아담이 속아 넘어간 것이 아니라, 그 여자가 속아 넘어가서 엇나갔었네.	And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression.
15	그러나 여자가 믿음과 사랑과 거룩함에 머물러 절제 있게 살면 아이 낳는 것을 통해서 구원을 받을 것이네.	Notwithstanding she shall be saved in childbearing, if they continue in faith and charity and holiness with sobriety.
