1	성벽을 다 쌓았을 때 나는 문짝을 달았다. 문지기들, 노래하는 사람들, 레위 사람들에게 제자리를 잡게 했다.	Now it came to pass, when the wall was built, and I had set up the doors, and the porters and the singers and the Levites were appointed,
2	나는 내 형제 하나니와 성채 사령관 하나냐에게 예루살렘을 맡겼다. 하나냐는 참된 사람이자, 남달리 하나님을 두려워하는 사람이었다.	That I gave my brother Hanani, and Hananiah the ruler of the palace, charge over Jerusalem: for he was a faithful man, and feared God above many.
3	그들에게 말했다. “예루살렘 성문들을 해가 떠서 환해질 때까지는 열면 안 됩니다. 문지기들이 서 있는 동안에는 성문들을 닫고 문빗장을 지르세요. 예루살렘에 살고 있는 사람들 가운데서 보초를 세우세요. 사람마다 자기 구역에, 사람마다 자기 집 맞은편에요.” ()	And I said unto them, Let not the gates of Jerusalem be opened until the sun be hot; and while they stand by, let them shut the doors, and bar them: and appoint watches of the inhabitants of Jerusalem, every one in his watch, and every one to be over against his house.
4	바빌로니아에서 돌아온 사람들 도시는 넓고 큰데 그 가운데 살고 있는 백성은 얼마 안 되었다. 집들도 지어지지 않았다.	Now the city was large and great: but the people were few therein, and the houses were not builded.
5	나의 하나님이 나의 마음에 생각을 주셨다. 그래서 귀족들과 관리들과 백성을 모아서 가족 관계 기록부에 이름을 올리게 했다. 나는 맨 처음 올라온 사람들의 가족 관계 기록을 찾았다. 내가 찾은 문서에는 이렇게 쓰여 있었다.	And my God put into mine heart to gather together the nobles, and the rulers, and the people, that they might be reckoned by genealogy. And I found a register of the genealogy of them which came up at the first, and found written therein,
6	사로잡혀 끌려가 있다가 올라온 그 행정 구역의 주민들은 이러하다. 바빌론 임금 네부카드네자르가 사로잡아 갔던 사람들이었다. 그들은 예루살렘에나 유다에 있는 저마다의 고향 도시로 돌아온 것이다.	These are the children of the province, that went up out of the captivity, of those that had been carried away, whom Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon had carried away, and came again to Jerusalem and to Judah, every one unto his city;
7	함께 온 사람들은 스룹바벨, 예수아, 느헤미야, 아사랴, 라아먀, 나하마니, 모르드개, 빌산, 미스베렛, 비그왜, 느훔, 바아나였다. 이스라엘 백성 가운데 남자들의 수는 이러하다.	Who came with Zerubbabel, Jeshua, Nehemiah, Azariah, Raamiah, Nahamani, Mordecai, Bilshan, Mispereth, Bigvai, Nehum, Baanah. The number, I say, of the men of the people of Israel was this;
8	바로스 사람들이 2,172명이다.	The children of Parosh, two thousand an hundred seventy and two.
9	스바댜 사람들이 372명이다.	The children of Shephatiah, three hundred seventy and two.
10	아라흐 사람들이 652명이다.	The children of Arah, six hundred fifty and two.
11	예수아와 요압 사람들 가운데 바핫모압 사람들이 2,818명이다.	The children of Pahath–moab, of the children of Jeshua and Joab, two thousand and eight hundred and eighteen.
12	엘람 사람들이 1,254명이다.	The children of Elam, a thousand two hundred fifty and four.
13	삿두 사람들이 845명이다.	The children of Zattu, eight hundred forty and five.
14	삭개 사람들이 760명이다.	The children of Zaccai, seven hundred and threescore.
15	빈누이 사람들이 648명이다.	The children of Binnui, six hundred forty and eight.

30	라마와 게바 사람이 621명이다.	The men of Ramah and Geba, six hundred twenty and one.

45	문지기들로는 살룸 사람들, 아델 사람들, 달몬 사람들, 악굽 사람들, 하디다 사람들, 소배 사람들이 모두 138명이다.	The porters: the children of Shallum, the children of Ater, the children of Talmon, the children of Akkub, the children of Hatita, the children of Shobai, an hundred thirty and eight.
46	성전 허드렛일꾼들로는 시하 사람들, 하수바 사람들, 답바옷 사람들이 있었다.	The Nethinims: the children of Ziha, the children of Hashupha, the children of Tabbaoth,
47	게로스 사람들, 시아 사람들, 바돈 사람들도 있었다.	The children of Keros, the children of Sia, the children of Padon,
48	르바나 사람들, 하가바 사람들, 살매 사람들도 있었다.	The children of Lebana, the children of Hagaba, the children of Shalmai,

51	갓삼 사람들, 웃사 사람들, 바세아흐 사람들도 있었다.	The children of Gazzam, the children of Uzza, the children of Phaseah,
52	베새 사람들, 마운 사람들의 자손, 나비스 사람들의 자손도 있었다.	The children of Besai, the children of Meunim, the children of Nephishesim,
53	박북 사람들, 하구바 사람들, 하르훌 사람들도 있었다.	The children of Bakbuk, the children of Hakupha, the children of Harhur,
54	바슬룻 사람들, 므히다 사람들, 하르사 사람들도 있었다.	The children of Bazlith, the children of Mehida, the children of Harsha,
55	바르고스 사람들, 시스라 사람들, 데마흐 사람들도 있었다.	The children of Barkos, the children of Sisera, the children of Tamah,
56	느시아흐 사람들, 하디바 사람들도 있었다.	The children of Neziah, the children of Hatipha.
57	솔로몬의 노예들의 자손으로는 소대 사람들, 소베렛 사람들, 브리다 사람들이 있었다.	The children of Solomon’s servants: the children of Sotai, the children of Sophereth, the children of Perida,
58	얄라 사람들, 다르곤 사람들, 깃델 사람들도 있었다.	The children of Jaala, the children of Darkon, the children of Giddel,
59	스바댜 사람들, 핫딜 사람들, 보게렛핫스바임 사람들, 아몬 사람들도 있었다.	The children of Shephatiah, the children of Hattil, the children of Pochereth of Zebaim, the children of Amon.
60	성전 허드렛일꾼들과 솔로몬의 노예들의 자손은 모두 392명이었다.	All the Nethinims, and the children of Solomon’s servants, were three hundred ninety and two.
61	텔멜라흐, 텔하르사, 크룹, 앗돈과 임멜에서 올라온 사람들은 이러했다. 그들은 자신들의 아버지 쪽 집안과 자신들의 뿌리가 이스라엘에서 비롯되었는지를 말해 주지 못했다.	And these were they which went up also from Tel–melah, Tel–haresha, Cherub, Addon, and Immer: but they could not shew their father’s house, nor their seed, whether they were of Israel.
62	그들은 들라야 사람들, 도비야 사람들, 느고다 사람들로 642명이었다.	The children of Delaiah, the children of Tobiah, the children of Nekoda, six hundred forty and two.
63	제사장들 가운데에는 호바야 사람들, 학고스 사람들, 바르실래 사람들이 있었다. 바르실래는 길르앗 사람 바르실래의 딸들 가운데서 아내를 맞아들여 그들의 이름을 따라 불렸다.	And of the priests: the children of Habaiah, the children of Koz, the children of Barzillai, which took one of the daughters of Barzillai the Gileadite to wife, and was called after their name.
64	이 사람들은 가족 관계 기록부에서 자기들의 이름을 찾아보았지만 이름이 발견되지 않았다. 그래서 깨끗하지 않은 사람으로 여겨져서 제사장 일을 맡을 수 없었다.	These sought their register among those that were reckoned by genealogy, but it was not found: therefore were they, as polluted, put from the priesthood.
65	총독이 그들에게 말하기를, 그들은 우림과 둠밈을 가진 어떤 제사장이 나설 때까지 거룩거룩한음식(지성물)을 먹어서는 안 된다고 했다.	And the Tirshatha said unto them, that they should not eat of the most holy things, till there stood up a priest with Urim and Thummim.
66	온 무리를 통틀어 말하면 42,360명이었다.	The whole congregation together was forty and two thousand three hundred and threescore,
67	그 밖에도 그들의 남자 노예들과 여자 노예들이 있는데, 이들이 7,337명이었다. 또 그들에게는 노래하는 남자들과 노래하는 여자들 245명이 있었다.	Beside their manservants and their maidservants, of whom there were seven thousand three hundred thirty and seven: and they had two hundred forty and five singing men and singing women.
68	말은 736마리, 노새는 245마리가 있었다.	Their horses, seven hundred thirty and six: their mules, two hundred forty and five:
69	낙타는 435마리, 나귀는 6,720마리가 있었다.	Their camels, four hundred thirty and five: six thousand seven hundred and twenty asses.
70	몇몇 아버지 쪽 집안의 우두머리들은 공사에 도움을 주었다. 총독은 금 1,000다릭, 그릇 50개, 제사장의 옷 530벌을 기금으로 내놓았다.	And some of the chief of the fathers gave unto the work. The Tirshatha gave to the treasure a thousand drams of gold, fifty basons, five hundred and thirty priests’ garments.
71	아버지 쪽 집안의 우두머리들은 공사 기금으로 금 20,000다릭과 은 2,200마네를 냈다.	And some of the chief of the fathers gave to the treasure of the work twenty thousand drams of gold, and two thousand and two hundred pound of silver.
72	나머지 백성도 금 20,000다릭, 은 2,000마네, 제사장의 옷 67벌을 냈다.	And that which the rest of the people gave was twenty thousand drams of gold, and two thousand pound of silver, and threescore and seven priests’ garments.
73	제사장들, 레위 사람들, 문지기들, 노래하는 사람들, 일부 백성, 성전 허드렛일꾼들, 온 이스라엘이 자신들의 고향 도시에 자리 잡았다. 그리고 일곱째 달이 되었다. 이스라엘 사람들은 자신들의 고향 도시에 살고 있었다.	So the priests, and the Levites, and the porters, and the singers, and some of the people, and the Nethinims, and all Israel, dwelt in their cities; and when the seventh month came, the children of Israel were in their cities.
