| 2 | Miangòna, ka mandrenesa, ry zanakalahin’ i Jakoba, eny, mihainoa an’ Isiraely rainareo: | Gather yourselves together, and hear, ye sons of Jacob; and hearken unto Israel your father. |
| 3 | Ry ROBENA, lahimatoako ianao, heriko sy voalohan’ ny tanjako, manan-tombom-pisandratana, manan-tombon-kery. | Reuben, thou art my firstborn, my might, and the beginning of my strength, the excellency of dignity, and the excellency of power: |

| 16 | DANA hitsara ny olony tahaka ny anankiray amin’ ny firenen’ ny Isiraely. | Dan shall judge his people, as one of the tribes of Israel. |
| 17 | Dana ho menarana ao amoron-dalana, ho bibilava misy tandroka ao an-dalana izy, izay manaikitra ny kitrokelin’ ny soavaly, ka potraka miantsilany ny mpitaingina azy. | Dan shall be a serpent by the way, an adder in the path, that biteth the horse heels, so that his rider shall fall backward. |
