| 2 | Nahoana ny jentilisa no manao hoe: Aiza izay Andriamaniny? | Wherefore should the heathen say, Where is now their God? |
| 3 | Nefa any an-danitra Andriamanitsika; Efa nanao izay sitrapony rehetra Izy. | But our God is in the heavens: he hath done whatsoever he hath pleased. |
| 4 | Volafotsy sy volamena ny sampin’ ireny, Asan’ ny tanan’ olona: | Their idols are silver and gold, the work of men’s hands. |
