| 1 | 그러므로 형제들아, 내가 하나님의 긍휼을 힘입어 너희에게 간청하노니 너희는 너희 몸을 거룩하고 하나님께서 받으실 만한 살아 있는 희생물로 드리라. 그것이 너희의 합당한 섬김이니라. | I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. |
| 2 | 너희는 이 세상에 동화되지 말고 오직 너희 생각을 새롭게 함으로 변화를 받아 하나님의 그 선하시고 받으실 만하며 완전하신 뜻이 무엇인지 입증하도록 하라. | And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. |
| 3 | 내게 주신 은혜를 힘입어 너희 가운데 있는 각 사람에게 내가 말하노니 각 사람은 자기가 마땅히 생각할 것보다 더 높이 자기에 대하여 생각하지 말고 하나님께서 각 사람에게 믿음의 분량을 나누어 주신대로 맑은 정신으로 생각하라. | For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith. |

| 5 | 이와 같이 우리도 여럿이지만 그리스도 안에서 한 몸이요 각 사람이 서로 지체이니라. | So we, being many, are one body in Christ, and every one members one of another. |
| 6 | 그런즉 우리에게 주신 은혜에 따라 우리가 다른 선물들을 가지고 있으니 대언이면 우리가 믿음의 분량대로 대언하고, | Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, whether prophecy, let us prophesy according to the proportion of faith; |
| 7 | 혹은 사역이면 우리가 우리의 사역하는 일로 섬기며, 가르치는 자는 가르치는 일로 섬기고, | Or ministry, let us wait on our ministering: or he that teacheth, on teaching; |
| 8 | 권면하는 자는 권면하는 일로 섬기며, 주는 자는 단순함으로 그 일을 하고, 다스리는 자는 부지런함으로, 긍휼을 베푸는 자는 즐거움으로 할 것이니라. | Or he that exhorteth, on exhortation: he that giveth, let him do it with simplicity; he that ruleth, with diligence; he that sheweth mercy, with cheerfulness. |
| 9 | 사랑에 꾸밈이 없게 하라. 악한 것을 몹시 싫어하고 선한 것을 굳게 붙들라. | Let love be without dissimulation. Abhor that which is evil; cleave to that which is good. |
| 10 | 형제의 사랑으로 서로 친절하게 애정을 가지고 서로 먼저 존중하며 | Be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honour preferring one another; |
| 11 | 일을 게을리 하지 말고 영이 뜨거운 가운데 주를 섬기며 | Not slothful in business; fervent in spirit; serving the Lord; |
| 12 | 소망 중에 기뻐하고 환난 중에 인내하며 늘 절박하게 기도하고 | Rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing instant in prayer; |
| 13 | 성도들의 필요에 따라 나누어 주며 손님 대접하기를 힘쓰라. | Distributing to the necessity of saints; given to hospitality. |
| 14 | 너희를 핍박하는 자들을 축복하라. 축복하고 저주하지 말라. | Bless them which persecute you: bless, and curse not. |
| 15 | 기뻐하는 자들과 함께 기뻐하고 슬피 우는 자들과 함께 슬피 울라. | Rejoice with them that do rejoice, and weep with them that weep. |
| 16 | 서로를 향해 같은 생각을 가지며 높은 것들에 생각을 두지 말고 도리어 낮은 처지의 사람들에게 겸손히 행하며 스스로 지혜 있는 것으로 여기지 말라. | Be of the same mind one toward another. Mind not high things, but condescend to men of low estate. Be not wise in your own conceits. |
| 17 | 아무에게도 악을 악으로 갚지 말고 모든 사람의 눈앞에서 정직한 일들을 예비하라. | Recompense to no man evil for evil. Provide things honest in the sight of all men. |
| 18 | 가능하다면 너희가 할 수 있는 대로 모든 사람과 화평하게 지내라. | If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men. |
| 19 | 극진히 사랑하는 자들아, 너희 스스로 원수를 갚지 말고 도리어 진노하심에 맡기라. 기록된바, 원수 갚는 일은 내 것이니 내가 갚으리라. 주가 말하노라, 하였느니라. | Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord. |
| 20 | 그러므로 네 원수가 주리거든 그를 먹이고 그가 목마르거든 그에게 마실 것을 주라. 그리함으로 네가 그의 머리 위에 불타는 숯을 쌓으리라. | Therefore if thine enemy hunger, feed him; if he thirst, give him drink: for in so doing thou shalt heap coals of fire on his head. |
