1	욥의 대답 욥이 말을 받았다.	But Job answered and said,
2	자네는 맥빠진 사람을 잘도 돕고 힘없이 늘어진 팔을 잘도 잡아주는군.	How hast thou helped him that is without power? how savest thou the arm that hath no strength?
3	어리석은 자를 잘도 깨우쳐주고 묘한 길을 잘도 가르쳐주는군.	How hast thou counselled him that hath no wisdom? and how hast thou plentifully declared the thing as it is?
4	자네가 하는 말은 누구에게서 들은 말인가? 자네가 내쉬는 숨결은 도대체 누구의 숨결인가?	To whom hast thou uttered words? and whose spirit came from thee?
5	저 땅 밑에서 그림자처럼 흐느적거리는 자들, 바다와 그 속에 갇혀 있는 자들이 어찌 떨지 않으랴!	Dead things are formed from under the waters, and the inhabitants thereof.
6	그의 앞에서는 저승도 벌거숭이, 죽음의 나라도 그대로 드러나네.	Hell is naked before him, and destruction hath no covering.
7	북녘에 있는 당신의 거처를 공허 위에 세우시고 땅덩어리를 허공에 달아놓으신 이,	He stretcheth out the north over the empty place, and hangeth the earth upon nothing.
8	뭉게구름으로 물을 싸두셨는데 그 물의 무게에 구름이 터지는 일도 없네.	He bindeth up the waters in his thick clouds; and the cloud is not rent under them.
9	구름을 밑에 깔아 당신의 보좌를 가리시고	He holdeth back the face of his throne, and spreadeth his cloud upon it.
10	물의 표면에 둥근 금을 그으시어 빛이 끝나고 어둠이 시작되는 곳을 표시하셨네.	He hath compassed the waters with bounds, until the day and night come to an end.
11	하느님께서 꾸짖으시면 하늘을 받친 기둥들이 놀라 흔들거리니	The pillars of heaven tremble and are astonished at his reproof.
12	그의 힘은 바다를 잠잠케 하셨고 그의 슬기는 라합을 쳐부쉈네.	He divideth the sea with his power, and by his understanding he smiteth through the proud.
13	그의 콧김으로 하늘은 개고 레비아단은 도망치다가 그의 손에 찔려 죽었네.	By his spirit he hath garnished the heavens; his hand hath formed the crooked serpent.
14	그러나 이런 것은 거니시는 그의 옷자락 소리, 들리는 듯 마는 듯하는 그의 음성, 그런데 그의 벽력 같은 소리를 누가 알아들을 것인가?	Lo, these are parts of his ways: but how little a portion is heard of him? but the thunder of his power who can understand?
