1	[순례자의 노래] 이스라엘이 하는 말, "야훼께서 우리 편이 아니셨더면,	If it had not been the Lord who was on our side, now may Israel say;
2	원수들이 우리를 치러 일어났을 때 야훼께서 우리 편이 아니셨더면	If it had not been the Lord who was on our side, when men rose up against us:
3	그들은 달려들어 살기등등, 산 채로 우리를 집어삼켰으리라.	Then they had swallowed us up quick, when their wrath was kindled against us:
4	거센 물살에 우리는 휩쓸리고 마침내 물에 빠져 죽고 말았으리라.	Then the waters had overwhelmed us, the stream had gone over our soul:
5	거품 뿜는 물결에 빠져 죽고 말았으리라."	Then the proud waters had gone over our soul.
6	야훼를 찬미하여라. 우리를 원수들에게 먹히지 않게 하셨다.	Blessed be the Lord, who hath not given us as a prey to their teeth.
7	새 잡는 그물에서 참새를 구하듯이 우리의 목숨을 건져내셨다.	Our soul is escaped as a bird out of the snare of the fowlers: the snare is broken, and we are escaped.
8	그물은 찢어지고 우리는 살아났다. 하늘과 땅을 만드신 분, 야훼의 이름밖에는 우리의 구원이 없구나.	Our help is in the name of the Lord, who made heaven and earth.
