| 2 | လောကီသားတို့သည် သင်တို့ကိုတရားစရပ်မှ နှင်ထုတ်လိမ့်မည်။ သင်တို့ကိုသတ်သောသူ မည်သည် ကား၊ ဘုရားဝတ်ကို ငါပြုပြီဟု မိမိထင်မှတ်သောအချိန်ကာလရောက်လိမ့်မည်။ | They shall put you out of the synagogues: yea, the time cometh, that whosoever killeth you will think that he doeth God service. |
| 3 | ခမည်းတော်ကိုမသိ၊ ငါ့ကိုလည်း မသိသောကြောင့် ထိုသို့ပြုကြလိမ့်မည်။ | And these things will they do unto you, because they have not known the Father, nor me. |
| 4 | ထိုအချိန်ကာလရောက်သောအခါ၊ ငါသည်အထက်က ဤသို့ပြောပြီးသည်ကို သင်တို့အောက်မေ့ စေခြင်းငှါ ယခုပင် ငါဟောပြော၏။အစဦး၌ သင်တို့နှင့်အတူ ငါရှိသောကြောင့် ဤသို့မပြောဘူးသေး။ | But these things have I told you, that when the time shall come, ye may remember that I told you of them. And these things I said not unto you at the beginning, because I was with you. |
| 5 | ငါ့ကို စေလွှတ်တော်မူသောသူထံသို့ ယခု ငါသွားရမည်ဖြစ်၍၊ အဘယ်အရပ်သို့ သွားမည်နည်းဟု သင်တို့မမေးကြ။ | But now I go my way to him that sent me; and none of you asketh me, Whither goest thou? |
| 6 | ဤအကြောင်းအရာတို့ကို ငါဟောပြောသောကြောင့် သင်တို့သည်အလွန်ဝမ်းနည်းခြင်းသို့ ရောက် ကြ၏။ | But because I have said these things unto you, sorrow hath filled your heart. |
| 7 | ငါအမှန်အကန်ဆိုသည်ကား၊ ငါသွားလျှင် သင်တို့အကျိုးရှိလိမ့်မည်။ အကြောင်းမူကား၊ ငါမသွားလျှင် ဥပဇ္ဈာယ်ဆရာသည် သင်တို့ဆီသို့မလာ။ ငါသွားလျှင် ထိုသူကို သင်တို့ဆီသို့ ငါစေလွှတ်မည်။ | Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you. |
| 8 | ဥပဇ္ဈာယ်ဆရာသည် ရောက်လာလျှင်၊ ဒုစရိုက်အပြစ်ကို၎င်း၊ အပြစ်ကင်းခြင်းကို၎င်း၊ အပြစ်စီရင်ခြင်း ကို၎င်း၊ လောကီသားတို့အား ထင်ရှားစွာဘော်ပြမည်။ | And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment: |
| 9 | ငါ့ကို မယုံကြည်ကြသောကြောင့် ဒုစရိုက်အပြစ်ကို ဘော်ပြမည်။ | Of sin, because they believe not on me; |
| 10 | ငါသည် ခမည်းတော်ထံသို့ သွားမည်ဖြစ်၍၊ သင်တို့သည် နောက်တဖန် ငါ့ကိုမတွေ့မမြင်ရသော ကြောင့်၊ အပြစ်ကင်းခြင်းကို ဘော်ပြမည်။ | Of righteousness, because I go to my Father, and ye see me no more; |
| 11 | ဤလောကကို အစိုးရသောမင်းသည် အပြစ်စီရင်ခြင်းကိုခံရသောကြောင့် အပြစ်စီရင်ခြင်းကို ဘော်ပြမည်။ | Of judgment, because the prince of this world is judged. |
| 12 | သင်တို့အား ငါပြောစရာစကားအများရှိသော်လည်း၊ သင်တို့သည် ယခုမခံနိုင်ကြ။ | I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now. |
| 13 | သမ္မာတရားနှင့်ပြည့်စုံသော ထိုဝိညာဉ်တော်သည် ရောက်လာသောအခါ၊ သမ္မာတရားကို သင်တို့အား အကြွင်းမဲ့ သွန်သင်ပြလိမ့်မည်။ ထိုဝိညာဉ်တော်သည် ကိုယ်အလိုအလျောက်ဟောပြောမည်အဟုတ်။ ကြား သမျှတို့ကို ဟောပြောလိမ့်မည်။ နောင်လာလတံ့သောအရာတို့ကိုလည်း သင်တို့အား ဘော်ပြလိမ့်မည်။ | Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come. |
| 14 | ထိုသူသည် ငါ့ဘုန်းကိုထင်ရှားစေလိမ့်မည်။ အကြောင်းမူကား၊ ငါနှင့်စပ်ဆိုင်သောအရာကိုယူ၍ သင်တို့အား ဘော်ပြလိမ့်မည်။ | He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall shew it unto you. |
| 15 | ခမည်းတော်နှင့်စပ်ဆိုင်သမျှသည် ငါနှင့်စပ်ဆိုင်၏။ ထိုကြောင့် ငါနှင့်စပ်ဆိုင်သောအရာကိုယူ၍ သင်တို့အားဘော်ပြလိမ့်မည်ဟု ငါပြော၏။ | All things that the Father hath are mine: therefore said I, that he shall take of mine, and shall shew it unto you. |
| 16 | ခဏကြာပြီးမှ သင်တို့သည်ငါ့ကိုမမြင်ရကြ။ တဖန်ခဏကြာပြီးမှ ငါ့ကိုမြင်ပြန်ကြလိမ့်မည်။ အကြောင်း မူကား၊ ငါသည်ခမည်းတော်ထံသို့ သွားမည်ဟု မိန့်တော်မူ၏။ | A little while, and ye shall not see me: and again, a little while, and ye shall see me, because I go to the Father. |
| 17 | တပည့်တော်အချို့ကလည်း၊ ခဏကြာပြီးမှ သင်တို့သည်ငါ့ကို မမြင်ရကြ။ တဖန်ခဏကြာပြီးမှ ငါ့ကို မြင်ပြန်ကြလိမ့်မည်ဟူ၍၎င်း၊ အကြောင်းမူကား၊ ငါသည် ခမည်းတော်ထံသို့ သွားမည်ဟူ၍၎င်း၊ မိန့်တော် မူသောစကားသည် အဘယ်သို့နည်း။ | Then said some of his disciples among themselves, What is this that he saith unto us, A little while, and ye shall not see me: and again, a little while, and ye shall see me: and, Because I go to the Father? |
| 18 | ခဏဟူ၍မိန့်တော်မူသော် အဘယ်သို့ဆိုလိုသနည်း မိန့်တော်မူသောစကားကို အကျွန်ုပ်တို့သည် နားမလည်ဟု အချင်းချင်းပြောဆိုကြ၏။ | They said therefore, What is this that he saith, A little while? we cannot tell what he saith. |
| 19 | တပည့်တော်တို့သည်မေးလျှောက်လိုသည်ကို ယေရှုသိမြင်တော်မူလျှင်၊ ခဏကြာပြီးမှ သင်တို့သည် ငါ့ကိုမမြင်ရကြ။ တဖန်ခဏကြာပြီးမှ ငါ့ကိုမြင်ပြန်ကြလိမ့်မည်ဟု ငါပြောသောစကားကို သင်တို့သည် အချင်းချင်း ဆင်ခြင်ကြသလော။ | Now Jesus knew that they were desirous to ask him, and said unto them, Do ye enquire among yourselves of that I said, A little while, and ye shall not see me: and again, a little while, and ye shall see me? |
| 20 | ငါအမှန်အကန်ဆိုသည်ကား၊ သင်တို့သည် ငိုကြွေးမြည်တမ်းခြင်းရှိကြလိမ့်မည်။ လောကီသားတို့သည် ဝမ်းမြောက်ခြင်းရှိကြလိမ့်မည်။ သင်တို့မူကား ဝမ်းနည်းခြင်းရှိသော်လည်း ထိုဝမ်းနည်းခြင်းသည် တဖန် ဝမ်းမြောက်ခြင်း ဖြစ်လိမ့်မည်။ | Verily, verily, I say unto you, That ye shall weep and lament, but the world shall rejoice: and ye shall be sorrowful, but your sorrow shall be turned into joy. |
| 21 | မိန်းမသည်သားကို ဘွားစဉ်အခါ ဘွားရသောအချိန်စေ့သောကြောင့် ဝမ်းနည်းခြင်းရှိ၏။ ဘွားမြင် ပြီးမှ ဤလောက၌ လူတယောက်ကိုဘွားမြင်သောကြောင့် ဝမ်းမြောက်ခြင်းရှိ၍၊ အထက်ခံရသောဝေဒနာကို မေ့လျော့တတ်၏။ | A woman when she is in travail hath sorrow, because her hour is come: but as soon as she is delivered of the child, she remembereth no more the anguish, for joy that a man is born into the world. |
| 22 | ထိုနည်းတူ၊ ယခုတွင် သင်တို့သည် ဝမ်းနည်းခြင်းရှိကြသော်လည်း၊ နောက်တဖန်သင်တို့ကို ငါတွေ့မြင် သဖြင့် သင်တို့သည်စိတ်နှလုံးဝမ်းမြောက်ခြင်း ရှိကြလိမ့်မည်။ ထိုဝမ်းမြောက်ခြင်းကို အဘယ်သူမျှ လုယူ ဖျက်ဆီးခြင်းငှါ မတတ်နိုင်။ | And ye now therefore have sorrow: but I will see you again, and your heart shall rejoice, and your joy no man taketh from you. |
| 23 | ထိုနေ့၌ သင်တို့သည် ငါ့ကိုအလျှင်းမမေးမြန်းရကြ။ ငါအမှန်အကန်ဆိုသည်ကား၊ သင်တို့သည်ငါ၏ နာမကိုအမှီပြု၍ ခမည်းတော်မှာ ဆုတောင်းသမျှတို့ကို ခမည်းတော်သည် ပေးတော်မူမည်။ | And in that day ye shall ask me nothing. Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in my name, he will give it you. |
| 24 | ယခုတိုင်အောင် ငါ၏နာမကိုအမှီပြု၍ သင်တို့သည် အဘယ်ဆုကိုမျှ မတောင်းကြသေး။ သင်တို့သည် ဝမ်းမြောက်စရာအကြောင်းစုံလင်စေခြင်းငှါ တောင်းကြလော့။ ထိုသို့တောင်းလျှင် ရကြလိမ့်မည်။ | Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name: ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full. |
| 25 | ဤအရာတို့ကို ပုံဥပမာအားဖြင့် ငါဟောပြော၏။ ပုံဥပမာအားဖြင့် မဟောမပြောဘဲ၊ ခမည်းတော်နှင့် စပ်ဆိုင်သောအရာတို့ကို သင်တို့အားအတည့်အလင်းဖော်ပြသောအချိန်ကာလ ရောက်လိမ့်မည်။ | These things have I spoken unto you in proverbs: but the time cometh, when I shall no more speak unto you in proverbs, but I shall shew you plainly of the Father. |
| 26 | ထိုကာလ၌ သင်တို့သည် ငါ၏နာမကိုအမှီပြု၍ ဆုတောင်းကြလိမ့်မည်။ သင်တို့အဘို့အလိုငှါ ငါသည် ခမည်းတော်ကို တောင်းမည်ဟုမဆို။ | At that day ye shall ask in my name: and I say not unto you, that I will pray the Father for you: |
| 27 | အကြောင်းမူကား၊ သင်တို့သည်ငါ့ကိုချစ်ကြ၍၊ ငါသည်ဘုရားသခင်အထံတော်မှ ကြွလာသည်ကို ယုံကြည်သောကြောင့် ခမည်းတော်သည် ကိုယ်တော်တိုင် သင်တို့ကိုချစ်တော်မူ၏။ | For the Father himself loveth you, because ye have loved me, and have believed that I came out from God. |
| 28 | ငါသည် ခမည်းတော်ထံမှထွက်၍ ဤလောကသို့ကြွလာပြီ။ တဖန် ဤလောကမှထွက်၍ ခမည်းတော် ထံသို့ သွားဦးမည်ဟု မိန့်တော်မူ၏။ | I came forth from the Father, and am come into the world: again, I leave the world, and go to the Father. |
| 29 | တပည့်တော်တို့ကလည်း၊ ကိုယ်တော်သည် ယခုတွင်ပုံဥပမာကိုမဆောင်ဘဲ အတည့်အလင်း ဟော ပြောတော်မူ၏။ | His disciples said unto him, Lo, now speakest thou plainly, and speakest no proverb. |
| 30 | အလုံးစုံတို့ကို သိတော်မူသည်ကို၎င်း၊ အဘယ်သူမျှကိုယ်တော်ကို မေးမြန်းစေခြင်းငှါ အလိုတော် မရှိသည်ကို၎င်း၊ ယခုတွင် အကျွန်ုပ်တို့သိကြပါ၏။ အကျွန်ုပ်တို့သည် ဤအကြောင်းကိုထောက်၍ ကိုယ်တော် သည် ဘုရားသခင်အထံတော်မှ ကြွတော်မူသည်ကို ယုံပါသည်ဟု လျှောက်ကြ၏။ | Now are we sure that thou knowest all things, and needest not that any man should ask thee: by this we believe that thou camest forth from God. |
| 31 | ယေရှုကလည်း၊ ယခုတွင်ယုံကြပြီလော။ | Jesus answered them, Do ye now believe? |
| 32 | သင်တို့သည် ကွဲပြား၍ ငါ့ကိုတကိုယ်တည်းနေစေခြင်းငှါ စွန်ပစ်လျက်၊ အသီးသီးမိမိသို့နေရာသို့ ပြေးသွားမည့်အချိန်ကာလသည် လာ၍ယခုပင်ရောက်ပေ၏။ သို့သော်လည်း ငါသည်တကိုယ်တည်းနေသည် မဟုတ်။ ခမည်းတော်သည်ငါနှင့်အတူရှိတော်မူ၏။ | Behold, the hour cometh, yea, is now come, that ye shall be scattered, every man to his own, and shall leave me alone: and yet I am not alone, because the Father is with me. |
| 33 | သင်တို့သည် ငါ့ကိုအမှီပြု၍ ငြိမ်သက်ခြင်းရှိစေခြင်းငှါ ဤစကားကိုငါဟောပြောပြီ။ သင်တို့သည် လောက၌ ဆင်းရဲဒုက္ခကိုခံကြရလိမ့်မည်။ သို့သော်လည်းမစိုးရိမ်ကြနှင့်။ ငါသည်လောကကိုအောင်ပြီဟု မိန့် တော်မူ၏။ | These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world. |
