| 1 | ငါသည် မှန်သောစပျစ်နွယ်ပင်ဖြစ်၏။ ငါ့ခမည်းတော်သည်လည်း ဥယျာဉ်စောင့်ဖြစ်တော်မူ၏။ | I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman. |
| 2 | ငါ၌အသီးမသီးသောအခက်ရှိသမျှတို့ကို ခုတ်ပစ်တော်မူ၏။ အသီးသီးသောအခက်ရှိသမျှတို့ကို သာ၍ သီးစေခြင်းငှါ သုတ်သင်ရှင်းလင်းတော်မူ၏။ | Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit. |
| 3 | သင်တို့သည် ငါဟောပြောသောစကားအားဖြင့် ယခုပင်ရှင်းလင်းလျက်ရှိကြ၏။ | Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you. |
| 4 | ငါ၌တည်နေကြလော့။ ငါသည်လည်း သင်တို့၌တည်နေမည်။ စပျစ်ခက်သည် အပင်၌မတည်လျှင်၊ ကိုယ်အလိုအလျောက် အသီးမသီးနိုင်သကဲ့သို့၊ သင်တို့သည် ငါ၌မတည်လျှင် အသီးမသီးနိုင်ကြ။ | Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me. |
| 5 | ငါသည် စပျစ်နွယ်ပင်ဖြစ်၏။ သင်တို့သည်အခက်များဖြစ်ကြ၏။ အကြင်သူသည် ငါ၌တည်၍ ငါသည် လည်းသူ့၌တည်၏၊ ထိုသူသည် များစွာသောအသီးကိုသီးတတ်၏။ ငါနှင့်ကွာလျှင် သင်တို့သည် အဘယ်အမှု ကိုမျှ မတတ်နိုင်ကြ။ | I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing. |
| 6 | ငါ၌ မတည်သောသူသည် သွေ့ခြောက်သောအခက်ကဲ့သို့ ပြင်သို့ပစ်လိုက်ခြင်းကိုခံရ၏။ ထိုသို့သော အခက်များကို လူတို့သည်စုသိမ်း၍ မီးထဲသို့ ချလိုက်ကြသဖြင့် မီးလောင်ခြင်းသို့ ရောက်ကြ၏။ | If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned. |
| 7 | သင်တို့သည် ငါ၌တည်၍ ငါ့စကားသည်သင်တို့၌တည်လျှင်၊ သင်တို့သည်တောင်းချင်သမျှကို တောင်း ၍ရကြလိမ့်မည်။ | If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you. |
| 8 | သင်တို့သည် များစွာသောအသီးကိုသီးသောအားဖြင့်၊ ငါ့ခမည်းတော်သည် ဘုန်းထင်ရှားတော်မူ၍၊ သင်တို့သည်လည်း ငါ၏တပည့်မှန်ကြလိမ့်မည်။ | Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples. |
| 9 | ခမည်းတော်သည် ငါ့ကိုချစ်တော်မူသကဲ့သို့ ငါသည်သင်တို့ကိုချစ်၏။ ငါ၏ချစ်ခြင်းမေတ္တာ၌ တည်နေ ကြလော့။ | As the Father hath loved me, so have I loved you: continue ye in my love. |
| 10 | ငါသည် ငါ့ခမည်းတော်၏ပညတ်တို့ကို စောင့်ရှောက်၍ ခမည်းတော်၏မေတ္တာ၌ တည်နေသကဲ့သို့၊ သင်တို့သည် ငါ့ပညတ်တို့ကို စောင့်ရှောက်လျှင်၊ ငါ့မေတ္တာ၌ တည်နေကြလိမ့်မည်။ | If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father’s commandments, and abide in his love. |
| 11 | သင်တို့၌ ငါဝမ်းမြောက်စရာအကြောင်း တည်စေခြင်းငှါ၎င်း၊ သင်တို့ ဝမ်းမြောက်စရာအကြောင်း စုံလင်စေခြင်းငှါ၎င်း၊ ဤစကားကို သင်တို့အားငါဟောပြော၏။ | These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full. |
| 12 | ငါ့ပညတ်ဟူမူကား၊ ငါသည် သင်တို့ကိုချစ်သည်နည်းတူ၊ သင်တို့သည် အချင်းချင်းချစ်ကြလော့။ | This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you. |
| 13 | ကိုယ်အဆွေတို့အဘို့အလိုငှါ ကိုယ်အသက်ကိုစွန့်ခြင်းမေတ္တာထက်သာ၍ မြတ်သောမေတ္တာသည် အဘယ်သူ၌မျှမရှိ။ | Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. |
| 14 | သင်တို့သည် ငါပညတ်သမျှတို့ကို ကျင့်ဆောင်လျှင် ငါ၏အဆွေဖြစ်ကြ၏။ | Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you. |
| 15 | ယခုမှစ၍ ငါသည်သင်တို့ကို ကျွန်ဟူ၍မခေါ်။ ကျွန်မူကား၊ ကိုယ်သခင်ပြုသောအမှုကိုမသိ။ သင် တို့ကို အဆွေဟူ၍ငါခေါ်၏။ အကြောင်းမူကား၊ ငါသည် ခမည်းတော်ထံ၌ ကြားသမျှသောအရာတို့ကို သင်တို့ အား ငါပြသ၏။ | Henceforth I call you not servants; for the servant knoweth not what his lord doeth: but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard of my Father I have made known unto you. |
| 16 | သင်တို့သည် ငါ့ကိုရွေးကောက်ကြသည်မဟုတ်။ ငါသည် သင်တို့ကို ရွေးကောက်သဖြင့်၊ သင်တို့သည် သွား၍ တည်ကြည်သောအသီးကိုသီးမည်အကြောင်းနှင့် ငါ့နာမကိုအမှီပြု၍ ခမည်းတော်မှာတောင်းသမျှတို့ကို ရမည်အကြောင်း သင်တို့ကို ငါခန့်ထား၏။ | Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you. |
| 17 | သင်တို့သည် အချင်းချင်းချစ်စေခြင်းငှါ ဤပညတ်တို့ကို ငါပေး၏။ | These things I command you, that ye love one another. |
| 18 | လောကီသားတို့သည် သင်တို့ကိုမုန်းလျှင်၊ သင်တို့ကို မမုန်းမှီ ငါ့ကိုမုန်းကြသည်ကို သိမှတ်ကြလော့။ | If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you. |
| 19 | သင်တို့သည် လောကီနှင့်ဆက်ဆံလျှင်၊ လောကီသားတို့သည် မိမိတို့နှင့်ဆက်ဆံသော သင်တို့ကို ချစ် ကြလိမ့်မည်။ သင်တို့သည် လောကီနှင့်မဆက်ဆံ၊ လောကီထဲက ငါရွေးကောက်သောသူဖြစ်သောကြောင့်၊ လောကီသားတို့သည် သင်တို့ကိုမုန်းကြ၏။ | If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you. |
| 20 | ကျွန်သည် မိမိသခင်ထက်သာ၍ ကြီးမြတ်သည်မဟုတ်ဟု ငါပြောခဲ့ပြီးသောစကားကို အောက်မေ့ကြ လော့။ သူတို့သည်ငါ့ကိုညှဉ်းဆဲလျှင် သင်တို့ကို ညှဉ်းဆဲကြလိမ့်မည်။ ငါ့စကားကိုနားထောင်လျှင် သင်တို့၏ စကားကို နားထောင်ကြလိမ့်မည်။ | Remember the word that I said unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord. If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you; if they have kept my saying, they will keep yours also. |
| 21 | ထိုသူတို့သည် ငါ့ကိုစေလွှတ်တော်မူသောသူကို မသိသည်ဖြစ်၍၊ ငါ၏နာမကြောင့် သင်တို့အား ထို အမှုရှိသမျှတို့ကို ပြုကြလိမ့်မည်။ | But all these things will they do unto you for my name’s sake, because they know not him that sent me. |
| 22 | ငါသည် လာ၍ထိုသူတို့အား မဟောမပြောလျှင် သူတို့၌အပြစ်မရှိ။ ယခုမူကား၊ မိမိတို့အပြစ်ကို ဝှက် ၍ မထားနိုင်ကြ။ | If I had not come and spoken unto them, they had not had sin: but now they have no cloke for their sin. |
| 23 | ငါ့ကို မုန်းသောသူသည် ငါ့ခမည်းတော်ကိုမုန်း၏။ | He that hateth me hateth my Father also. |
| 24 | ငါသည် အခြားသူမပြုဘူးသောအမှုကို ထိုသူတို့ရှေ့မှာမပြုလျှင် သူတို့၌အပြစ်မရှိ။ ယခုမူကား၊ သူတို့သည် ထိုအမှုကိုမြင်ရ၍ ငါနှင့်ငါ့ခမည်းတော်ကိုမုန်းကြ၏။ | If I had not done among them the works which none other man did, they had not had sin: but now have they both seen and hated both me and my Father. |
| 25 | သို့ဖြစ်လျှင်၊ အကြောင်းမရှိဘဲငါ့ကိုမုန်းကြ၏ဟု သူတို့၏ပညတ္တိကျမ်းစာ၌ ရေးထားသောစကားသည် ပြည့်စုံခြင်းသို့ ရောက်သတည်း။ | But this cometh to pass, that the word might be fulfilled that is written in their law, They hated me without a cause. |
| 26 | ခမည်းတော်ထံမှထွက်လာ၍ သမ္မာတရားနှင့်ပြည့်စုံသောဝိညာဉ်တော်တည်းဟူသော ခမည်းတော်ထံမှ သင်တို့ဆီသို့ ငါစေလွှတ်လတံ့သော ဥပဇ္ဈာယ်ဆရာသည်ရောက်လာသောအခါ၊ ငါ၏အကြောင်းကို သက်သေခံ လိမ့်မည်။ | But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me: |
| 27 | သင်တို့သည်လည်း ရှေးဦးစွာမှစ၍ ငါနှင့်အတူရှိနေသောကြောင့် သက်သေခံရကြလိမ့်မည်။ | And ye also shall bear witness, because ye have been with me from the beginning. |
