| 1 | အကျွန်ုပ်သည် ဆင်းရဲခံရသောအခါ ထာဝရ ဘုရားကို အော်ဟစ်၍၊ ထာဝရဘုရားသည် နားထောင် တော်မူ၏။ | In my distress I cried unto the Lord, and he heard me. |
| 2 | အိုထာဝရဘုရား၊ အကျွန်ုပ်အသက်ကို သစ္စာ မရှိသော နှုတ်မှ၎င်း၊ လှည့်စားတတ်သော လျှာမှ၎င်း ကယ်နှုတ်တော်မူပါ။ | Deliver my soul, O Lord, from lying lips, and from a deceitful tongue. |
| 3 | အိုလှည့်စားတတ်သောလျှာ၊ သင်သည်အဘယ် ကျေးဇူးရှိ သနည်း။ အဘယ်အကျိုးကိုခံရသနည်း။ | What shall be given unto thee? or what shall be done unto thee, thou false tongue? |
| 4 | အားကြီးသော သူ၏ ထက်သောမြှားကဲ့သို့၎င်း၊ ရသမ်သစ်သား မီးခဲကဲ့သို့၎င်းဖြစ်၏။ | Sharp arrows of the mighty, with coals of juniper. |
| 5 | ငါသည် မေရှက်ပြည်၌ တည်းခို၍၊ ကေဒါတဲ၌ နေရသည် အရာမှာ အမင်္ဂလာရှိ၏။ | Woe is me, that I sojourn in Mesech, that I dwell in the tents of Kedar! |
| 6 | ငြိမ်သက်ခြင်းကို မုန်းသော သူတို့နှင့်အတူ၊ ငါ့ဝိညာဉ်သည် ကြာမြင့်စွာနေရပါသည်တကား။ | My soul hath long dwelt with him that hateth peace. |
| 7 | ငါသည် ငြိမ်သက်ခြင်းဘက်မှာနေ၏။ ငါပြော လျှင်မူကား၊ သူတို့သည် စစ်တိုက်ခြင်းငှါ အလိုရှိကြ၏။ | I am for peace: but when I speak, they are for war. |
