| 1 | 主よ、あなたは世々われらのすみかでいらせられる。 | Lord, thou hast been our dwelling place in all generations. |
| 2 | 山がまだ生れず、あなたがまだ地と世界とを造られなかったとき、とこしえからとこしえまで、あなたは神でいらせられる。 | Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever thou hadst formed the earth and the world, even from everlasting to everlasting, thou art God. |
| 3 | あなたは人をちりに帰らせて言われます、「人の子よ、帰れ」と。 | Thou turnest man to destruction; and sayest, Return, ye children of men. |
| 4 | あなたの目の前には千年も過ぎ去ればきのうのごとく、夜の間のひと時のようです。 | For a thousand years in thy sight are but as yesterday when it is past, and as a watch in the night. |
| 5 | あなたは人を大水のように流れ去らせられます。彼らはひと夜の夢のごとく、あしたにもえでる青草のようです。 | Thou carriest them away as with a flood; they are as a sleep: in the morning they are like grass which groweth up. |
| 6 | あしたにもえでて、栄えるが、夕べには、しおれて枯れるのです。 | In the morning it flourisheth, and groweth up; in the evening it is cut down, and withereth. |
| 7 | われらはあなたの怒りによって消えうせ、あなたの憤りによって滅び去るのです。 | For we are consumed by thine anger, and by thy wrath are we troubled. |
| 8 | あなたはわれらの不義をみ前におき、われらの隠れた罪をみ顔の光のなかにおかれました。 | Thou hast set our iniquities before thee, our secret sins in the light of thy countenance. |
| 9 | われらのすべての日は、あなたの怒りによって過ぎ去り、われらの年の尽きるのは、ひと息のようです。 | For all our days are passed away in thy wrath: we spend our years as a tale that is told. |
| 10 | われらのよわいは七十年にすぎません。あるいは健やかであっても八十年でしょう。しかしその一生はただ、ほねおりと悩みであって、その過ぎゆくことは速く、われらは飛び去るのです。 | The days of our years are threescore years and ten; and if by reason of strength they be fourscore years, yet is their strength labour and sorrow; for it is soon cut off, and we fly away. |
| 11 | だれがあなたの怒りの力を知るでしょうか。だれがあなたをおそれる恐れにしたがってあなたの憤りを知るでしょうか。 | Who knoweth the power of thine anger? even according to thy fear, so is thy wrath. |
| 12 | われらにおのが日を数えることを教えて、知恵の心を得させてください。 | So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom. |
| 13 | 主よ、み心を変えてください。いつまでお怒りになるのですか。あなたのしもべをあわれんでください。 | Return, O Lord, how long? and let it repent thee concerning thy servants. |
| 14 | あしたに、あなたのいつくしみをもってわれらを飽き足らせ、世を終るまで喜び楽しませてください。 | O satisfy us early with thy mercy; that we may rejoice and be glad all our days. |
| 15 | あなたがわれらを苦しめられた多くの日と、われらが災にあった多くの年とに比べて、われらを楽しませてください。 | Make us glad according to the days wherein thou hast afflicted us, and the years wherein we have seen evil. |
| 16 | あなたのみわざを、あなたのしもべらに、あなたの栄光を、その子らにあらわしてください。 | Let thy work appear unto thy servants, and thy glory unto their children. |
| 17 | われらの神、主の恵みを、われらの上にくだし、われらの手のわざを、われらの上に栄えさせてください。われらの手のわざを栄えさせてください。 | And let the beauty of the Lord our God be upon us: and establish thou the work of our hands upon us; yea, the work of our hands establish thou it. |
