| 1 | いと高き者のもとにある隠れ場に住む人、全能者の陰にやどる人は | He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. |
| 2 | 主に言うであろう、「わが避け所、わが城、わが信頼しまつるわが神」と。 | I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust. |
| 3 | 主はあなたをかりゅうどのわなと、恐ろしい疫病から助け出されるからである。 | Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence. |
| 4 | 主はその羽をもって、あなたをおおわれる。あなたはその翼の下に避け所を得るであろう。そのまことは大盾、また小盾である。 | He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler. |
| 5 | あなたは夜の恐ろしい物をも、昼に飛んでくる矢をも恐れることはない。 | Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day; |
| 6 | また暗やみに歩きまわる疫病をも、真昼に荒す滅びをも恐れることはない。 | Nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness; nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday. |
| 7 | たとい千人はあなたのかたわらに倒れ、万人はあなたの右に倒れても、その災はあなたに近づくことはない。 | A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee. |
| 8 | あなたはただ、その目をもって見、悪しき者の報いを見るだけである。 | Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold and see the reward of the wicked. |
| 9 | あなたは主を避け所とし、いと高き者をすまいとしたので、 | Because thou hast made the Lord, which is my refuge, even the most High, thy habitation; |
| 10 | 災はあなたに臨まず、悩みはあなたの天幕に近づくことはない。 | There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling. |
| 11 | これは主があなたのために天使たちに命じて、あなたの歩むすべての道であなたを守らせられるからである。 | For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways. |
| 12 | 彼らはその手で、あなたをささえ、石に足を打ちつけることのないようにする。 | They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone. |
| 13 | あなたはししと、まむしとを踏み、若いししと、へびとを足の下に踏みにじるであろう。 | Thou shalt tread upon the lion and adder: the young lion and the dragon shalt thou trample under feet. |
| 14 | 彼はわたしを愛して離れないゆえに、わたしは彼を助けよう。彼はわが名を知るゆえに、わたしは彼を守る。 | Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known my name. |
| 15 | 彼がわたしを呼ぶとき、わたしは彼に答える。わたしは彼の悩みのときに、共にいて、彼を救い、彼に光栄を与えよう。 | He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honour him. |
| 16 | わたしは長寿をもって彼を満ち足らせ、わが救を彼に示すであろう。 | With long life will I satisfy him, and shew him my salvation. |
