| 1 | わが神、主よ、わたしはあなたに寄り頼みます。どうかすべての追い迫る者からわたしを救い、わたしをお助けください。 | O Lord my God, in thee do I put my trust: save me from all them that persecute me, and deliver me: |
| 2 | さもないと彼らは、ししのように、わたしをかき裂き、助ける者の来ないうちに、引いて行くでしょう。 | Lest he tear my soul like a lion, rending it in pieces, while there is none to deliver. |
| 3 | わが神、主よ、もしわたしがこの事を行ったならば、もしわたしの手によこしまな事があるならば、 | O Lord my God, if I have done this; if there be iniquity in my hands; |
| 4 | もしわたしの友に悪をもって報いたことがあり、ゆえなく、敵のものを略奪したことがあるならば、 | If I have rewarded evil unto him that was at peace with me; (yea, I have delivered him that without cause is mine enemy:) |
| 5 | 敵にわたしを追い捕えさせ、わたしの命を地に踏みにじらせ、わたしの魂をちりにゆだねさせてください。[セラ | Let the enemy persecute my soul, and take it; yea, let him tread down my life upon the earth, and lay mine honour in the dust. Selah. |
| 6 | 主よ、怒りをもって立ち、わたしの敵の憤りにむかって立ちあがり、わたしのために目をさましてください。あなたはさばきを命じられました。 | Arise, O Lord, in thine anger, lift up thyself because of the rage of mine enemies: and awake for me to the judgment that thou hast commanded. |
| 7 | もろもろの民をあなたのまわりにつどわせ、その上なる高みくらにおすわりください。 | So shall the congregation of the people compass thee about: for their sakes therefore return thou on high. |
| 8 | 主はもろもろの民をさばかれます。主よ、わたしの義と、わたしにある誠実とに従って、わたしをさばいてください。 | The Lord shall judge the people: judge me, O Lord, according to my righteousness, and according to mine integrity that is in me. |
| 9 | どうか悪しき者の悪を断ち、正しき者を堅く立たせてください。義なる神よ、あなたは人の心と思いとを調べられます。 | Oh let the wickedness of the wicked come to an end; but establish the just: for the righteous God trieth the hearts and reins. |
| 10 | わたしを守る盾は神である。神は心の直き者を救われる。 | My defence is of God, which saveth the upright in heart. |
| 11 | 神は義なるさばきびと、日ごとに憤りを起される神である。 | God judgeth the righteous, and God is angry with the wicked every day. |
| 12 | もし人が悔い改めないならば、神はそのつるぎをとぎ、その弓を張って構え、 | If he turn not, he will whet his sword; he hath bent his bow, and made it ready. |
| 13 | また死に至らせる武器を備え、その矢を火矢とされる。 | He hath also prepared for him the instruments of death; he ordaineth his arrows against the persecutors. |
| 14 | 見よ、悪しき者は邪悪をはらみ、害毒をやどし、偽りを生む。 | Behold, he travaileth with iniquity, and hath conceived mischief, and brought forth falsehood. |
| 15 | 彼は穴を掘って、それを深くし、みずから作った穴に陥る。 | He made a pit, and digged it, and is fallen into the ditch which he made. |
| 16 | その害毒は自分のかしらに帰り、その強暴は自分のこうべに下る。 | His mischief shall return upon his own head, and his violent dealing shall come down upon his own pate. |
| 17 | わたしは主にむかって、その義にふさわしい感謝をささげ、いと高き者なる主の名をほめ歌うであろう。 | I will praise the Lord according to his righteousness: and will sing praise to the name of the Lord most high. |
