| 2 | みどりごと、ちのみごとの口によって、ほめたたえられています。あなたは敵と恨みを晴らす者とを静めるため、あだに備えて、とりでを設けられました。 | Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings hast thou ordained strength because of thine enemies, that thou mightest still the enemy and the avenger. |
| 3 | わたしは、あなたの指のわざなる天を見、あなたが設けられた月と星とを見て思います。 | When I consider thy heavens, the work of thy fingers, the moon and the stars, which thou hast ordained; |
| 4 | 人は何者なので、これをみ心にとめられるのですか、人の子は何者なので、これを顧みられるのですか。 | What is man, that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that thou visitest him? |
| 5 | ただ少しく人を神よりも低く造って、栄えと誉とをこうむらせ、 | For thou hast made him a little lower than the angels, and hast crowned him with glory and honour. |
| 6 | これにみ手のわざを治めさせ、よろずの物をその足の下におかれました。 | Thou madest him to have dominion over the works of thy hands; thou hast put all things under his feet: |

| 8 | 空の鳥と海の魚、海路を通うものまでも。 | The fowl of the air, and the fish of the sea, and whatsoever passeth through the paths of the seas. |
