| 1 | 之がためにわが心わななき その處を動き離る | At this also my heart trembleth, and is moved out of his place. |
| 2 | 神の聲の響およびその口より出る轟聲を善く聽け | Hear attentively the noise of his voice, and the sound that goeth out of his mouth. |
| 3 | これを天が下に放ち またその電光を地の極にまで至らせたまふ | He directeth it under the whole heaven, and his lightning unto the ends of the earth. |
| 4 | その後聲ありて打響き 彼威光の聲を放ちて鳴わたりたまふ その御聲聞えしむるに當りては電光を押へおきたまはず | After it a voice roareth: he thundereth with the voice of his excellency; and he will not stay them when his voice is heard. |
| 5 | 神奇しくも御聲を放ちて鳴わたり 我儕の知ざる大なる事を行ひたまふ | God thundereth marvellously with his voice; great things doeth he, which we cannot comprehend. |
| 6 | かれ雪にむかひて地に降れと命じたまふ 雨すなはちその權能の大雨にも亦しかり | For he saith to the snow, Be thou on the earth; likewise to the small rain, and to the great rain of his strength. |
| 7 | 斯かれ一切の人の手を封じたまふ 是すべての人にその御工作を知しめんがためなり | He sealeth up the hand of every man; that all men may know his work. |
| 8 | また獸は穴にいりてその洞に居る | Then the beasts go into dens, and remain in their places. |
| 9 | 南方の密室より暴風きたり 北より寒氣きたる | Out of the south cometh the whirlwind: and cold out of the north. |
| 10 | 神の氣吹によりて氷いできたり 水の寛狹くせらる | By the breath of God frost is given: and the breadth of the waters is straitened. |
| 11 | かれ水をもて雲に搭載せまた電光の雲を遠く散したまふ | Also by watering he wearieth the thick cloud: he scattereth his bright cloud: |
| 12 | 是は神の導引によりて週る 是は彼の命ずるところを盡く世界の表面に爲んがためなり | And it is turned round about by his counsels: that they may do whatsoever he commandeth them upon the face of the world in the earth. |
| 13 | その之を來らせたまふは或は懲罰のため あるひはその地のため 或は恩惠のためなり | He causeth it to come, whether for correction, or for his land, or for mercy. |
| 14 | ヨブよ是を聽け 立ちて神の奇妙き工作を考がへよ | Hearken unto this, O Job: stand still, and consider the wondrous works of God. |
| 15 | 神いかに是等に命を傳へその雲の光明をして輝やかせたまふか汝これを知るや | Dost thou know when God disposed them, and caused the light of his cloud to shine? |
| 16 | なんぢ雲の平衡知識の全たき者の奇妙き工作を知るや | Dost thou know the balancings of the clouds, the wondrous works of him which is perfect in knowledge? |
| 17 | 南風によりて地の穩かになる時なんぢの衣服は熱くなるなり | How thy garments are warm, when he quieteth the earth by the south wind? |
| 18 | なんぢ彼とともに彼の堅くして鑄たる鏡のごとくなる蒼穹を張ることを能せんや | Hast thou with him spread out the sky, which is strong, and as a molten looking glass? |
| 19 | われらが彼に言ふべき事を我らに敎へよ 我らは暗昧して言詞を列ぬること能はざるなり | Teach us what we shall say unto him; for we cannot order our speech by reason of darkness. |
| 20 | われ語ることありと彼に告ぐべけんや 人あに滅ぼさるることを望まんや | Shall it be told him that I speak? if a man speak, surely he shall be swallowed up. |
| 21 | 人いまは雲霄に輝やく光明を見ること能はず 然れど風きたりて之を吹清む | And now men see not the bright light which is in the clouds: but the wind passeth, and cleanseth them. |
| 22 | 北より黄金いできたる 神には畏るべき威光あり | Fair weather cometh out of the north: with God is terrible majesty. |
| 23 | 全能者はわれら測りきはむることを得ず 彼は能おほいなる者にいまし審判をも公義をも抂たまはざるなり | Touching the Almighty, we cannot find him out: he is excellent in power, and in judgment, and in plenty of justice: he will not afflict. |
| 24 | この故に人々かれを畏る 彼はみづから心に有智とする者をかへりみたまはざるなり | Men do therefore fear him: he respecteth not any that are wise of heart. |
