1 ヱホバに感謝してその名をよび そのなしたまへる事をもろもろの民輩のなかにしらしめよ O give thanks unto the Lord; call upon his name: make known his deeds among the people.
2 ヱホバにむかひてうたへヱホバを讃うたへ そのもろもろの妙なる事跡をかたれ Sing unto him, sing psalms unto him: talk ye of all his wondrous works.
3 そのきよき名をほこれ ヱホバをたづねもとむるものの心はよろこぶべし Glory ye in his holy name: let the heart of them rejoice that seek the Lord.
4 ヱホバとその能力とをたづねもとめよ つねにその聖顔をたづねよ Seek the Lord, and his strength: seek his face evermore.
5 その僕アブラムの裔よヤコブの子輩よ そのえらびたまひし所のものよ そのなしたまへる妙なるみわざと奇しき事跡とその口のさばきとを心にとむれ Remember his marvellous works that he hath done; his wonders, and the judgments of his mouth;
6 その僕アブラムの裔よヤコブの子輩よ そのえらびたまひし所のものよ そのなしたまへる妙なるみわざと奇しき事跡とその口のさばきとを心にとむれ O ye seed of Abraham his servant, ye children of Jacob his chosen.
7 彼はわれらの神ヱホバなり そのみさばきは全地にあり He is the Lord our God: his judgments are in all the earth.
8 ヱホバはたえずその契約をみこころに記たまへり 此はよろづ代に命じたまひし聖言なり He hath remembered his covenant for ever, the word which he commanded to a thousand generations.
9 アブラハムとむすびたまひし契約イサクに與へたまひし誓なり Which covenant he made with Abraham, and his oath unto Isaac;
10 之をかたくしヤコブのために律法となし イスラエルのためにとこしへの契約となして And confirmed the same unto Jacob for a law, and to Israel for an everlasting covenant:
11 言たまひけるは我なんぢにカナンの地をたまひてなんぢらの嗣業の分となさん Saying, Unto thee will I give the land of Canaan, the lot of your inheritance:
12 この時かれらの數おほからず甚すくなくしてかしこにて旅人となり When they were but a few men in number; yea, very few, and strangers in it.
13 この國よりかの國にゆき この國よりほかの民にゆけり When they went from one nation to another, from one kingdom to another people;
14 人のかれらを虐ぐるをゆるし給はず かれらの故によりて王たちを懲しめて He suffered no man to do them wrong: yea, he reproved kings for their sakes;
15 宣給くわが受膏者たちにふるるなかれ わが預言者たちをそこなふなかれ Saying, Touch not mine anointed, and do my prophets no harm.
16 ヱホバは饑饉たを地にまねき 人の杖とする糧をことごとく碎きたまへり Moreover he called for a famine upon the land: he brake the whole staff of bread.
17 又かれらの前にひとりを遣したまへり ヨセフはうられて僕となりぬ He sent a man before them, even Joseph, who was sold for a servant:
18 かれら足械をもてヨセフの足をそこなひ くろかねの鏈をもてその霊魂をつなげり Whose feet they hurt with fetters: he was laid in iron:
19 斯てそのことばの驗をうるまでに及ぶ ヱホバのみことば彼をこころみたまへり Until the time that his word came: the word of the Lord tried him.
20 王は人をつかはしてこれを解き もろもろの民の長はこれをゆるし The king sent and loosed him; even the ruler of the people, and let him go free.
21 之をその家司となし その財寶をことごとく司どらせ He made him lord of his house, and ruler of all his substance:
22 その心のままにかの國のきみたちを縛しめ 長老たちに智慧ををしへしむ To bind his princes at his pleasure; and teach his senators wisdom.
23 イスラエルも亦エジプトにゆき ヤコブはハムの地にやどれり Israel also came into Egypt; and Jacob sojourned in the land of Ham.
24 ヱホバはその民を大にましくはへ之をその敵よりも強くしたまへり And he increased his people greatly; and made them stronger than their enemies.
25 また敵のこころをかへておのれの民をにくましめ おのれの僕輩をあざむき待さしめたまへり He turned their heart to hate his people, to deal subtilly with his servants.
26 又そのしもべモーセとその選びたまへるアロンとを遣したまへり He sent Moses his servant; and Aaron whom he had chosen.
27 かれらはヱホバの預兆をハムの地におこなひ またその國にくすしき事をおこなへり They shewed his signs among them, and wonders in the land of Ham.
28 ヱホバは闇をつかはして暗くしたまへり かれらその聖言にそむくことをせざりき He sent darkness, and made it dark; and they rebelled not against his word.
29 彼等のすべての水を血にかへてその魚をころしたまへり He turned their waters into blood, and slew their fish.
30 かれらの國は蛙むれいでて王の殿のうちにまでみちふさがりぬ Their land brought forth frogs in abundance, in the chambers of their kings.
31 ヱホバいひたまへば蝿むらがり蚤そのすべての境にいりきたりぬ He spake, and there came divers sorts of flies, and lice in all their coasts.
32 また雨にかへて霰をかれらに與へもゆる火をかれらの國にふらし He gave them hail for rain, and flaming fire in their land.
33 かれらの葡萄の樹といちじくの樹とをうちその境のもろちろの樹ををりくだきたまへり He smote their vines also and their fig trees; and brake the trees of their coasts.
34 ヱホバいひたまへば算しられぬ蝗と蟊賊きたり He spake, and the locusts came, and caterpillers, and that without number,
35 かれらの國のすべての田產をはみつくしその地のすべての實を食つくせり And did eat up all the herbs in their land, and devoured the fruit of their ground.
36 ヱホバはかれらの國のすべての首出者をうち かれらのすべての力の始をうちたまへり He smote also all the firstborn in their land, the chief of all their strength.
37 しろかね黄金をたづさへて彼等をいでゆかしめたまへり その家族のうちに一人のよわき者もなかりき He brought them forth also with silver and gold: and there was not one feeble person among their tribes.
38 エジプトはかれらの出るをよろこべり かれらをおそるるの念そのうちにおこりたればなり Egypt was glad when they departed: for the fear of them fell upon them.
39 ヱホバは雲をしきて蓋となし夜は火をもて照したまへり He spread a cloud for a covering; and fire to give light in the night.
40 又かれらの求によりて鶉をきたらしめ天の餅にてかれらを飽しめたまへり The people asked, and he brought quails, and satisfied them with the bread of heaven.
41 磐をひらきたまへば水ほどばしりいで 潤ひなきところに川をなして流れいでたり He opened the rock, and the waters gushed out; they ran in the dry places like a river.
42 ヱホバそのきよき聖言とその僕アブラハムとをおもひいでたまひたればなり For he remembered his holy promise, and Abraham his servant.
43 その民をみちびきて歓びつついでしめ そのえらべる民をみちびきて謳ひつついでしめたまへり And he brought forth his people with joy, and his chosen with gladness:
44 もろもろの國人の地をかれらに與へたまひしかば 彼等もろもろのたみの勤勞をおのが有とせり And gave them the lands of the heathen: and they inherited the labour of the people;
45 こは彼等がその律にしたがひその法をまもらんが爲なり ヱホバをほめたたへよ That they might observe his statutes, and keep his laws. Praise ye the Lord.
