1 わが霊魂よヱホバをほめまつれ わが衷なるすべてのものよそのきよき名をほめまつれ Bless the Lord, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name.
2 わがたましひよヱホバを讃まつれ そのすべての恩惠をわするるなかれ Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits:
3 ヱホバはなんぢがすべての不義をゆるし汝のすべての疾をいやし Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases;
4 なんぢの生命をほろびより贖ひいだし 仁慈と憐憫とを汝にかうぶらせ Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies;
5 なんぢの口を嘉物にてあかしめたまふ 斯てなんぢは壯ぎて鷲のごとく新になるなり Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; so that thy youth is renewed like the eagle’s.
6 ヱホバはすべて虐げらるる者のために公義と審判とをおこなひたまふ The Lord executeth righteousness and judgment for all that are oppressed.
7 おのれの途をモーセにしらしめ おのれの作爲をイスラエルの子輩にしらしめ給へり He made known his ways unto Moses, his acts unto the children of Israel.
8 ヱホバはあはれみと恩惠にみちて怒りたまふことおそく仁慈ゆたかにましませり The Lord is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and plenteous in mercy.
9 恒にせむることをせず永遠にいかりを懐きたまはざるなり He will not always chide: neither will he keep his anger for ever.
10 ヱホバはわれらの罪の量にしたがひて我儕をあしらひたまはず われらの不義のかさにしたがひて報いたまはざりき He hath not dealt with us after our sins; nor rewarded us according to our iniquities.
11 ヱホバをおそるるものにヱホバの賜ふそのあはれみは大にして 天の地よりも高きがごとし For as the heaven is high above the earth, so great is his mercy toward them that fear him.
12 そのわれらより愆をとほざけたまふことは東の西より遠きがごとし As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us.
13 ヱホバの己をおそるる者をあはれみたまふことは父がその子をあはれむが如し Like as a father pitieth his children, so the Lord pitieth them that fear him.
14 ヱホバは我儕のつくられし状をしり われらの塵なることを念ひ給へばなり For he knoweth our frame; he remembereth that we are dust.
15 人のよはひは草のごとく その榮はのの花のごとし As for man, his days are as grass: as a flower of the field, so he flourisheth.
16 風すぐれば失てあとなくその生いでし處にとへど尚しらざるなり For the wind passeth over it, and it is gone; and the place thereof shall know it no more.
17 然はあれどヱホバの憐憫はとこしへより永遠まで ヱホバをおそるるものにいたり その公義は子孫のまた子孫にいたらん But the mercy of the Lord is from everlasting to everlasting upon them that fear him, and his righteousness unto children’s children;
18 その契約をまもりその訓諭を心にとめて行ふものぞその人なる To such as keep his covenant, and to those that remember his commandments to do them.
19 ヱホバはその寳座をもろもろの天にかたく置たまへり その政權はよろづのもののうへにあり The Lord hath prepared his throne in the heavens; and his kingdom ruleth over all.
20 ヱホバにつかふる使者よ ヱホバの聖言のこゑをきき その聖言をおこなふ勇士よ ヱホバをほめまつれ Bless the Lord, ye his angels, that excel in strength, that do his commandments, hearkening unto the voice of his word.
21 その萬軍よ その聖旨をおこなふ僕等よ ヱホバをほめまつれ Bless ye the Lord, all ye his hosts; ye ministers of his, that do his pleasure.
22 その造りたまへる萬物よ ヱホバの政權の下なるすべての處にてヱホバをほめよ わがたましひよヱホバを讃まつれ Bless the Lord, all his works in all places of his dominion: bless the Lord, O my soul.
