| 2 | 書をコリントに在る神の教會、即ちいづれの處にありても、我らの主、ただに我等のみならず彼らの主なるイエス・キリストの名を呼び求むる者とともに、聖徒となるべき召を蒙り、キリスト・イエスに在りて潔められたる汝らに贈る。 | Unto the church of God which is at Corinth, to them that are sanctified in Christ Jesus, called to be saints, with all that in every place call upon the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, both theirs and ours: |
| 3 | 願はくは我らの父なる神および主イエス・キリストより賜ふ恩惠と平安と汝らに在らんことを。 | Grace be unto you, and peace, from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ. |
| 4 | われ汝らがキリスト・イエスに在りて神より賜はりし恩惠に就きて、常に神に感謝す。 | I thank my God always on your behalf, for the grace of God which is given you by Jesus Christ; |
| 5 | 汝らはキリストに在りて、諸般のこと即ち凡ての言と凡ての悟とに富みたればなり。 | That in every thing ye are enriched by him, in all utterance, and in all knowledge; |
| 6 | これキリストの證なんぢらの中に堅うせられたるに因る。 | Even as the testimony of Christ was confirmed in you: |
| 7 | 斯く汝らは凡ての賜物に缺くる所なくして、我らの主イエス・キリストの現れ給ふを待てり。 | So that ye come behind in no gift; waiting for the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ: |
| 8 | 彼は汝らを終まで堅うして、我らの主イエス・キリストの日に責むべき所なからしめ給はん。 | Who shall also confirm you unto the end, that ye may be blameless in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ. |
| 9 | 汝らを召して其の子われらの主イエス・キリストの交際に入らしめ給ふ神は眞實なる哉。 | God is faithful, by whom ye were called unto the fellowship of his Son Jesus Christ our Lord. |
| 10 | 兄弟よ、我らの主イエス・キリストの名に頼りて汝らに勸む、おのおの語るところを同じうし、分爭する事なく、同じ心おなじ念にて全く一つになるべし。 | Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you; but that ye be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment. |
| 11 | わが兄弟よ、クロエの家の者、なんぢらの中に紛爭あることを我に知らせたり。 | For it hath been declared unto me of you, my brethren, by them which are of the house of Chloe, that there are contentions among you. |
| 12 | 即ち汝 等おのおの『我はパウロに屬す』『われはアポロに』『我はケパに』『我はキリストに』と言ふこれなり。 | Now this I say, that every one of you saith, I am of Paul; and I of Apollos; and I of Cephas; and I of Christ. |
| 13 | キリストは分たるる者ならんや、パウロは汝らの爲に十字架につけられしや、汝らパウロの名に頼りてバプテスマを受けしや。 | Is Christ divided? was Paul crucified for you? or were ye baptized in the name of Paul? |
| 14 | 我は感謝す、クリスポとガイオとの他には、我なんぢらの中の一人にもバプテスマを施さざりしを。 | I thank God that I baptized none of you, but Crispus and Gaius; |
| 15 | 是わが名に頼りて汝らがバプテスマを受けしと人の言ふ事なからん爲なり。 | Lest any should say that I had baptized in mine own name. |
| 16 | またステパノの家族にバプテスマを施しし事あり、此の他には我バプテスマを施しし事ありや知らざるなり。 | And I baptized also the household of Stephanas: besides, I know not whether I baptized any other. |
| 17 | そはキリストの我を遣し給へるはバプテスマを施させん爲にあらず、福音を宣傳へしめんとてなり。而して言の智慧をもつてせず、是キリストの十字架の虚しくならざらん爲なり。 | For Christ sent me not to baptize, but to preach the gospel: not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of none effect. |
| 18 | それ十字架の言は亡ぶる者には愚なれど、救はるる我らには神の能力なり。 | For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God. |
| 19 | 録して、『われ智者の智慧をほろぼし、慧き者のさときを空しうせん』とあればなり。 | For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and will bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent. |
| 20 | 智者いづこにか在る、學者いづこにか在る、この世の論者いづこにか在る、神は世の智慧をして愚ならしめ給へるにあらずや。 | Where is the wise? where is the scribe? where is the disputer of this world? hath not God made foolish the wisdom of this world? |
| 21 | 世は己の智慧をもて神を知らず（これ神の智慧に適へるなり）この故に神は宣教の愚をもて、信ずる者を救ふを善しとし給へり。 | For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe. |
| 22 | ユダヤ人は徴を請ひ、ギリシヤ人は智慧を求む。 | For the Jews require a sign, and the Greeks seek after wisdom: |
| 23 | されど我らは十字架に釘けられ給ひしキリストを宣傳ふ。これはユダヤ人に躓物となり、異邦人に愚となれど、 | But we preach Christ crucified, unto the Jews a stumblingblock, and unto the Greeks foolishness; |
| 24 | 召されたる者にはユダヤ人にもギリシヤ人にも、神の能力また神の智慧たるキリストなり。 | But unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God. |
| 25 | 神の愚は人よりも智く、神の弱は人よりも強ければなり。 | Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men; and the weakness of God is stronger than men. |
| 26 | 兄弟よ、召を蒙れる汝らを見よ、肉によれる智き者おほからず、能力ある者おほからず、貴きもの多からず。 | For ye see your calling, brethren, how that not many wise men after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called: |
| 27 | されど神は智き者を辱しめんとて世の愚なる者を選び、強き者を辱しめんとて弱き者を選び、 | But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty; |
| 28 | 有る者を亡さんとて世の卑しきもの、輕んぜらるる者、すなわち無きが如き者を選び給へり。 | And base things of the world, and things which are despised, hath God chosen, yea, and things which are not, to bring to nought things that are: |
| 29 | これ神の前に人の誇る事なからん爲なり。 | That no flesh should glory in his presence. |
| 30 | 汝らは神に頼りてキリスト・イエスに在り、彼は神に立てられて我らの智慧と義と聖と救贖とになり給へり。 | But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption: |
| 31 | これ『誇る者は主に頼りて誇るべし』と録されたる如くならん爲なり。 | That, according as it is written, He that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord. |
