1 𐌽𐌹 𐍅𐌹𐌻𐌾𐌰𐌿 𐌹𐌶𐍅𐌹𐍃 𐌿𐌽𐍅𐌹𐍄𐌰𐌽𐍃, 𐌱𐍂𐍉𐌸𐍂𐌾𐌿𐍃, 𐌸𐌰𐍄𐌴𐌹 𐌰𐍄𐍄𐌰𐌽𐍃 𐌿𐌽𐍃𐌰𐍂𐌰𐌹 𐌰𐌻𐌻𐌰𐌹 𐌿𐍆 𐌼𐌹𐌻𐌷𐌼𐌹𐌽 𐍅𐌴𐍃𐌿𐌽, 𐌾𐌰𐌷 𐌰𐌻𐌻𐌰𐌹 𐌼𐌰𐍂𐌴𐌹𐌽 𐌸𐌰𐌹𐍂𐌷𐌹𐌳𐌳𐌾𐌴𐌳𐌿𐌽, Moreover, brethren, I would not that ye should be ignorant, how that all our fathers were under the cloud, and all passed through the sea;
2 𐌾𐌰𐌷 𐌰𐌻𐌻𐌰𐌹 𐌹𐌽 𐌼𐍉𐍃𐌴 𐌳𐌰𐌿𐍀𐌹𐌳𐌰𐌹 𐍅𐌴𐍃𐌿𐌽, 𐌹𐌽 𐌼𐌹𐌻𐌷𐌼𐌹𐌽 𐌾𐌰𐌷 𐌹𐌽 𐌼𐌰𐍂𐌴𐌹𐌽, And were all baptized unto Moses in the cloud and in the sea;
3 𐌾𐌰𐌷 𐌰𐌻𐌻𐌰𐌹 𐌸𐌰𐌽𐌰 𐍃𐌰𐌼𐌰𐌽 𐌼𐌰𐍄 𐌰𐌷𐌼𐌴𐌹𐌽𐌰𐌽 𐌼𐌰𐍄𐌹𐌳𐌴𐌳𐌿𐌽, And did all eat the same spiritual meat;
4 𐌾𐌰𐌷 𐌸𐌰𐍄𐌰 𐍃𐌰𐌼𐍉 𐌳𐍂𐌰𐌲𐌺 𐌰𐌷𐌼𐌴𐌹𐌽𐍉 𐌳𐍂𐌿𐌲𐌺𐌿𐌽 . . . . And did all drink the same spiritual drink: for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them: and that Rock was Christ.
5 — But with many of them God was not well pleased: for they were overthrown in the wilderness.
6 — Now these things were our examples, to the intent we should not lust after evil things, as they also lusted.
7 — Neither be ye idolaters, as were some of them; as it is written, The people sat down to eat and drink, and rose up to play.
8 — Neither let us commit fornication, as some of them committed, and fell in one day three and twenty thousand.
9 — Neither let us tempt Christ, as some of them also tempted, and were destroyed of serpents.
10 — Neither murmur ye, as some of them also murmured, and were destroyed of the destroyer.
11 — Now all these things happened unto them for ensamples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come.
12 — Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall.
13 — There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.
14 — Wherefore, my dearly beloved, flee from idolatry.
15 . . . . (𐍆𐍂𐍉)𐌳𐌰𐌹𐌼 𐌵𐌹𐌸𐌰; 𐌳𐍉𐌼𐌴𐌹𐌸 𐌾𐌿𐍃 𐌸𐌰𐍄𐌴𐌹 𐌵𐌹𐌸𐌰. I speak as to wise men; judge ye what I say.
16 𐍃𐍄𐌹𐌺𐌻𐍃 𐌸𐌹𐌿𐌸𐌹𐌵𐌹𐍃𐍃𐌰𐌹𐍃 𐌸𐌰𐌽𐌴𐌹 𐌲𐌰𐍅𐌴𐌹𐌷𐌰𐌼, 𐌽𐌹𐌿 𐌲𐌰𐌼𐌰𐌹𐌽𐌳𐌿𐌸𐍃 𐌱𐌻𐍉𐌸𐌹𐍃 𐍆𐍂𐌰𐌿𐌾𐌹𐌽𐍃 𐌹𐍃𐍄? 𐌷𐌻𐌰𐌹𐍆𐍃 𐌸𐌰𐌽𐌴𐌹 𐌱𐍂𐌹𐌺𐌰𐌼, 𐌽𐌹𐌿 𐌲𐌰𐌼𐌰𐌹𐌽𐌳𐌿𐌸𐍃 𐌻𐌴𐌹𐌺𐌹𐍃 𐍆𐍂𐌰𐌿𐌾𐌹𐌽𐍃 𐌹𐍃𐍄? The cup of blessing which we bless, is it not the communion of the blood of Christ? The bread which we break, is it not the communion of the body of Christ?
17 𐌿𐌽𐍄𐌴 𐌰𐌹𐌽𐍃 𐌷𐌻𐌰𐌹𐍆𐍃, 𐌰𐌹𐌽 𐌻𐌴𐌹𐌺 𐌸𐌰𐌹 𐌼𐌰𐌽𐌰𐌲𐌰𐌽𐍃 𐍃𐌹𐌿𐌼, 𐌸𐌰𐌹𐌴𐌹 𐌰𐌿𐌺 𐌰𐌻𐌻𐌰𐌹 𐌰𐌹𐌽𐌹𐍃 𐌷𐌻𐌰𐌹𐌱𐌹𐍃 𐌾𐌰𐌷 𐌰𐌹𐌽𐌹𐍃 𐍃𐍄𐌹𐌺𐌻𐌹𐍃 𐌱𐍂𐌿𐌺𐌾𐌰𐌼. For we being many are one bread, and one body: for we are all partakers of that one bread.
18 𐍃𐌰𐌹𐍈𐌹𐌸 𐌹𐍃𐍂𐌰𐌴𐌻 𐌱𐌹 𐌻𐌴𐌹𐌺𐌰: 𐌽𐌹𐌿 𐌸𐌰𐌹 𐌼𐌰𐍄𐌾𐌰𐌽𐌳𐌰𐌽𐍃 𐌷𐌿𐌽𐍃𐌻𐌰 𐌲𐌰𐌼𐌰𐌹𐌽𐌾𐌰𐌽𐌳𐌰𐌽𐍃 𐌷𐌿𐌽𐍃𐌻𐌰𐍃𐍄𐌰𐌳𐌰 𐍃𐌹𐌽𐌳? Behold Israel after the flesh: are not they which eat of the sacrifices partakers of the altar?
19 𐍈𐌰 𐌽𐌿 𐌵𐌹𐌸𐌰𐌼? 𐌸𐌰𐍄𐌴𐌹 𐌸𐍉 𐌲𐌰𐌻𐌹𐌿𐌲𐌰𐌲𐌿𐌳𐌰 𐍈𐌰 𐍃𐌹𐌾𐌰𐌹𐌽𐌰 𐌰𐌹𐌸𐌸𐌰𐌿 𐌸𐌰𐍄𐌴𐌹 𐌲𐌰𐌻𐌹𐌿𐌲𐌰𐌼 𐍃𐌰𐌻𐌾𐌰𐌳𐌰 𐍈𐌰 𐍃𐌹𐌾𐌰𐌹? What say I then? that the idol is any thing, or that which is offered in sacrifice to idols is any thing?
20 [𐌽𐌹 𐌸𐌰𐍄𐌴𐌹 𐌸𐍉 𐌲𐌰𐌻𐌹𐌿𐌲𐌰𐌲𐌿𐌳𐌰 𐍅𐌰𐌹𐌷𐍄𐍃 𐍃𐌹𐌾𐌰𐌹𐌽𐌰,] 𐌰𐌺 𐌸𐌰𐍄𐌴𐌹 𐍃𐌰𐌻𐌾𐌰𐌽𐌳 𐌸𐌹𐌿𐌳𐍉𐍃, 𐍃𐌺𐍉𐌷𐍃𐌻𐌰𐌼 𐍃𐌰𐌻𐌾𐌰𐌽𐌳, 𐌾𐌰𐌽~𐌽𐌹 𐌲𐌿𐌳𐌰. 𐌽𐌹 𐍅𐌹𐌻𐌾𐌰𐌿 𐌰𐌿𐌺 𐌹𐌶𐍅𐌹𐍃 𐍃𐌺𐍉𐌷𐍃𐌻𐌰𐌼 𐌲𐌰𐌳𐌰𐌹𐌻𐌰𐌽𐍃 𐍅𐌰𐌹𐍂𐌸𐌰𐌽. But I say, that the things which the Gentiles sacrifice, they sacrifice to devils, and not to God: and I would not that ye should have fellowship with devils.
21 𐌽𐌹 𐌼𐌰𐌲𐌿𐌸 𐍃𐍄𐌹𐌺𐌻 𐍆𐍂𐌰𐌿𐌾𐌹𐌽𐍃 𐌳𐍂𐌹𐌲𐌺𐌰𐌽 𐌾𐌰𐌷 𐍃𐍄𐌹𐌺𐌻 𐍃𐌺𐍉𐌷𐍃𐌻𐌴; 𐌽𐌹 𐌼𐌰𐌲𐌿𐌸 𐌱𐌹𐌿𐌳𐌹𐍃 𐍆𐍂𐌰𐌿𐌾𐌹𐌽𐍃 𐍆𐌰𐌹𐍂𐌰𐌹𐌷𐌰𐌽 𐌾𐌰𐌱~𐌱𐌹𐌿𐌳𐌹𐍃 𐍃𐌺𐍉𐌷𐍃𐌻𐌴. Ye cannot drink the cup of the Lord, and the cup of devils: ye cannot be partakers of the Lord’s table, and of the table of devils.
22 𐌸𐌰𐌿 𐌹𐌽𐌰𐌻𐌾𐌰𐌽𐍉𐌼 𐍆𐍂𐌰𐌿𐌾𐌹𐌽? 𐌹𐌱𐌰𐌹 𐍃𐍅𐌹𐌽𐌸𐍉𐌶𐌰𐌽𐍃 𐌹𐌼𐌼𐌰 𐍃𐌹𐌿𐌼? Do we provoke the Lord to jealousy? are we stronger than he?
23 𐌰𐌻𐌻 𐌱𐌹𐌽𐌰𐌷, 𐌰𐌺𐌴𐌹 𐌽𐌹 𐌰𐌻𐌻 𐌳𐌰𐌿𐌲; 𐌰𐌻𐌻 𐌼𐌹𐍃 𐌱𐌹𐌽𐌰𐌿𐌷𐍄 𐌹𐍃𐍄, 𐌰𐌺𐌴𐌹 𐌽𐌹 𐌰𐌻𐌻 𐍄𐌹𐌼𐍂𐌴𐌹𐌸. All things are lawful for me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but all things edify not.
24 𐌽𐌹 𐌰𐌹𐌽𐍃𐌷𐌿𐌽 𐍃𐌴𐌹𐌽 𐍃𐍉𐌺𐌾𐌰𐌹, 𐌰𐌺 𐌰𐌽𐌸𐌰𐍂𐌹𐍃 𐍈𐌰𐍂𐌾𐌹𐌶𐌿𐌷. Let no man seek his own, but every man another’s wealth.
25 𐌰𐌻𐌻 𐌸𐌰𐍄𐌴𐌹 𐌰𐍄 𐍃𐌺𐌹𐌻𐌾𐌰𐌼 𐍆𐍂𐌰𐌱𐌿𐌲𐌾𐌰𐌹𐌳𐌰𐌿 𐌼𐌰𐍄𐌾𐌰𐌹𐌸, 𐌽𐌹 𐍅𐌰𐌹𐌷𐍄 𐌰𐌽𐌳𐌷𐍂𐌿𐍃𐌺𐌰𐌽𐌳𐌰𐌽𐍃 𐌹𐌽 𐌼𐌹𐌸𐍅𐌹𐍃𐍃𐌴𐌹𐌽𐍃. Whatsoever is sold in the shambles, that eat, asking no question for conscience sake:
26 𐍆𐍂𐌰𐌿𐌾𐌹𐌽𐍃 𐌹𐍃𐍄 𐌰𐌿𐌺 𐌰𐌹𐍂𐌸𐌰 𐌾𐌰𐌷 𐍆𐌿𐌻𐌻𐍉 𐌹𐌶𐍉𐍃. For the earth is the Lord’s, and the fulness thereof.
27 𐌹𐌸 𐌾𐌰𐌱𐌰𐌹 𐍈𐌰𐍃 𐌻𐌰𐌸𐍉 𐌹𐌶𐍅𐌹𐍃 𐌸𐌹𐌶𐌴 𐌿𐌽𐌲𐌰𐌻𐌰𐌿𐌱𐌾𐌰𐌽𐌳𐌰𐌽𐌴 𐌾𐌰𐌷 𐍅𐌹𐌻𐌴𐌹𐌸 𐌲𐌰𐌲𐌲𐌰𐌽, 𐌰𐌻𐌻 𐌸𐌰𐍄𐌴𐌹 𐍆𐌰𐌿𐍂𐌻𐌰𐌲𐌾𐌰𐌹𐌳𐌰𐌿 𐌹𐌶𐍅𐌹𐍃 𐌼𐌰𐍄𐌾𐌰𐌹𐌸, 𐌽𐌹 𐍅𐌰𐌹𐌷𐍄 𐌰𐌽𐌳𐍃𐌹𐍄𐌰𐌽𐌳𐌰𐌽𐍃 𐌱𐌹 𐌲𐌰𐌷𐌿𐌲𐌳𐌰𐌹. If any of them that believe not bid you to a feast, and ye be disposed to go; whatsoever is set before you, eat, asking no question for conscience sake.
28 𐌹𐌸 𐌾𐌰𐌱𐌰𐌹 𐍈𐌰𐍃 𐌵𐌹𐌸𐌰𐌹 𐌸𐌰𐍄𐌴𐌹 𐌲𐌰𐌻𐌹𐌿𐌲𐌰𐌼 𐌲𐌰𐍃𐌰𐌻𐌹𐌸 𐌹𐍃𐍄, 𐌽𐌹 𐌼𐌰𐍄𐌾𐌰𐌹𐌸 𐌹𐌽 𐌾𐌰(𐌹)𐌽𐌹𐍃 𐌸𐌹𐍃 𐌱𐌰𐌽𐌳𐍅𐌾𐌰𐌽𐌳𐌹𐌽𐍃 𐌾𐌰𐌷 𐌸𐌿𐌷𐍄𐌰: 𐍆𐍂𐌰𐌿𐌾𐌹𐌽𐍃 𐌹𐍃𐍄 𐌰𐌿𐌺 𐌰𐌹𐍂𐌸𐌰 𐌾𐌰𐌷 𐍆𐌿𐌻𐌻𐍉 𐌹𐌶𐍉𐍃; But if any man say unto you, This is offered in sacrifice unto idols, eat not for his sake that shewed it, and for conscience sake: for the earth is the Lord’s, and the fulness thereof:
29 𐌸𐌿𐌷𐍄𐌿𐌸~𐌸𐌰𐌽 𐌵𐌹𐌸𐌰 𐌽𐌹 𐍃𐌹𐌻𐌱𐌹𐌽𐍃, 𐌰𐌺 𐌰𐌽𐌸𐌰𐍂𐌹𐍃. 𐌳𐌿𐍈𐌴 𐌰𐌿𐌺 𐍆𐍂𐌹𐌾𐌴𐌹 𐌼𐌴𐌹𐌽𐌰 𐍃𐍄𐍉𐌾𐌰𐌳𐌰 𐌸𐌰𐌹𐍂𐌷 𐌿𐌽𐌲𐌰𐌻𐌰𐌿𐌱𐌾𐌰𐌽𐌳𐌹𐌽𐍃 𐌸𐌿𐌷𐍄𐌿? Conscience, I say, not thine own, but of the other: for why is my liberty judged of another man’s conscience?
30 𐌾𐌰𐌱𐌰𐌹 𐌹𐌺 𐌰𐌽𐍃𐍄𐌰𐌹 𐌰𐌽𐌳𐌽𐌹𐌼𐌰, 𐌳𐌿𐍈𐌴 𐌰𐌽𐌰𐌵𐌹𐌸𐌰𐌹𐌳𐌰𐌿 𐌹𐌽 𐌸𐌹𐌶𐌴 𐌹𐌺 𐌰𐍅𐌹𐌻𐌹𐌿𐌳𐍉? For if I by grace be a partaker, why am I evil spoken of for that for which I give thanks?
31 𐌾𐌰𐌸𐌸𐌴 𐌽𐌿 𐌼𐌰𐍄𐌾𐌰𐌹𐌸 𐌾𐌰𐌸𐌸𐌴 𐌳𐍂𐌹𐌲𐌺𐌰𐌹𐌸 𐌾𐌰𐌸𐌸𐌴 𐍈𐌰 𐍄𐌰𐌿𐌾𐌹𐌸, 𐌰𐌻𐌻𐌰𐍄𐌰 𐌳𐌿 𐍅𐌿𐌻𐌸𐌰𐌿 𐌲𐌿𐌳𐌹𐍃 𐍄𐌰𐌿𐌾𐌰𐌹𐌸. Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God.
32 𐌿𐌽𐌿𐍆𐌱𐍂𐌹𐌺𐌰𐌽𐌳𐌰𐌽𐍃 𐍃𐌹𐌾𐌰𐌹𐌸 𐌾𐌰𐌷 𐌹𐌿𐌳𐌰𐌹𐌿𐌼 𐌾𐌰𐌷 𐌸𐌹𐌿𐌳𐍉𐌼 𐌾𐌰𐌷 𐌰𐌹𐌺𐌺𐌻𐌴𐍃𐌾𐍉𐌽 𐌲𐌿𐌳𐌹𐍃, Give none offence, neither to the Jews, nor to the Gentiles, nor to the church of God:
33 𐍃𐍅𐌰𐍃𐍅𐌴 𐌹𐌺 𐌰𐌻𐌻𐌰𐌹𐌼 𐌰𐌻𐌻 𐌻𐌴𐌹𐌺𐌰, 𐌽𐌹 𐍃𐍉𐌺𐌾𐌰𐌽𐌳𐍃 𐌸𐌰𐍄𐌴𐌹 𐌼𐌹𐍃 𐌱𐍂𐌿𐌺 𐍃𐌹𐌾𐌰𐌹, 𐌰𐌺 𐌸𐌰𐍄𐌴𐌹 𐌸𐌰𐌹𐌼 𐌼𐌰𐌽𐌰𐌲𐌰𐌼, 𐌴𐌹 𐌲𐌰𐌽𐌹𐍃𐌰𐌹𐌽𐌰. Even as I please all men in all things, not seeking mine own profit, but the profit of many, that they may be saved.
