𐌽𐌹𐌿 𐌹𐌼 𐌰𐍀𐌰𐌿𐍃𐍄𐌰𐌿𐌻𐌿𐍃? 𐌽𐌹𐌿 𐌹𐌼 𐍆𐍂𐌴𐌹𐍃? 𐌽𐌹𐌿 𐌹𐌴𐍃𐌿 𐍇𐍂𐌹𐍃𐍄𐌰𐌿 𐍆𐍂𐌰𐌿𐌾𐌰𐌽 𐌿𐌽𐍃𐌰𐍂𐌰𐌽𐌰 𐍃𐌰𐍈? 𐌽𐌹𐌿 𐍅𐌰𐌿𐍂𐍃𐍄𐍅 𐌼𐌴𐌹𐌽𐌰𐍄𐌰 𐌾𐌿𐍃 𐍃𐌹𐌾𐌿𐌸 𐌹𐌽 𐍆𐍂𐌰𐌿𐌾𐌹𐌽? Am I not an apostle? am I not free? have I not seen Jesus Christ our Lord? are not ye my work in the Lord?
𐌾𐌰𐌱𐌰𐌹 𐌰𐌽𐌸𐌰𐍂𐌰𐌹𐌼 𐌽𐌹 𐌹𐌼 𐌰𐍀𐌰𐌿𐍃𐍄𐌰𐌿𐌻𐌿𐍃, 𐌰𐌹𐌸𐌸𐌰𐌿 𐌹𐌶𐍅𐌹𐍃 𐌹𐌼; 𐌿𐌽𐍄𐌴 𐍃𐌹𐌲𐌻𐌾𐍉 𐌼𐌴𐌹𐌽𐌰𐌹𐌶𐍉𐍃 𐌰𐍀𐌰𐌿𐍃𐍄𐌰𐌿𐌻𐌴𐌹𐌽𐍃 𐌾𐌿𐍃 𐍃𐌹𐌾𐌿𐌸. If I be not an apostle unto others, yet doubtless I am to you: for the seal of mine apostleship are ye in the Lord.
𐌼𐌴𐌹𐌽𐌰 𐌰𐌽𐌳𐌰𐌷𐌰𐍆𐍄𐍃 𐍅𐌹𐌸𐍂𐌰 𐌸𐌰𐌽𐍃 𐌼𐌹𐌺 𐌿𐍃𐍃𐍉𐌺𐌾𐌰𐌽𐌳𐌰𐌽𐍃 𐌸𐌰𐍄~𐌹𐍃𐍄. Mine answer to them that do examine me is this,
𐌹𐌱𐌰𐌹 𐌽𐌹 𐌷𐌰𐌱𐌰𐌼 𐍅𐌰𐌻𐌳𐌿𐍆𐌽𐌹 𐌼𐌰𐍄𐌾𐌰𐌽 𐌾𐌰𐌷 𐌳𐍂𐌹𐌲𐌺𐌰𐌽? Have we not power to eat and to drink?
𐌹𐌱𐌰𐌹 𐌽𐌹 𐌷𐌰𐌱𐌰𐌼 𐍅𐌰𐌻𐌳𐌿𐍆𐌽𐌹 𐍃𐍅𐌹𐍃𐍄𐌰𐍂 𐌵𐌹𐌽𐍉𐌽 𐌱𐌹𐍄𐌹𐌿𐌷𐌰𐌽, 𐍃𐍅𐌰𐍃𐍅𐌴 𐌸𐌰𐌹 𐌰𐌽𐌸𐌰𐍂𐌰𐌹 𐌰𐍀𐌰𐌿𐍃𐍄𐌰𐌿𐌻𐌴𐌹𐍃 𐌾𐌰𐌷 𐌱𐍂𐍉𐌸𐍂𐌾𐌿𐍃 𐍆𐍂𐌰𐌿𐌾𐌹𐌽𐍃 𐌾𐌰𐌷 𐌺𐌴𐍆𐌰𐍃? Have we not power to lead about a sister, a wife, as well as other apostles, and as the brethren of the Lord, and Cephas?
𐌸𐌰𐌿 𐌰𐌹𐌽𐌶𐌿 𐌹𐌺 𐌾𐌰𐌷 𐌱𐌰𐍂𐌽𐌰𐌱𐌰𐍃 𐌽𐌹 𐌷𐌰𐌱𐍉𐍃 𐍅𐌰𐌻𐌳𐌿𐍆𐌽𐌹 𐌳𐌿 𐌽𐌹 𐍅𐌰𐌿𐍂𐌺𐌾𐌰𐌽? Or I only and Barnabas, have not we power to forbear working?
𐍈𐌰𐍃 𐌳𐍂𐌰𐌿𐌷𐍄𐌹𐌽𐍉𐌸 𐍃𐍅𐌴𐍃𐌰𐌹𐌼 𐌰𐌽𐌽𐍉𐌼 𐍈𐌰𐌽? 𐍈𐌰𐍃 𐍃𐌰𐍄𐌾𐌹𐌸 𐍅𐌴𐌹𐌽𐌰𐍄𐍂𐌹𐍅𐌰 𐌾𐌰𐌷 𐌰𐌺𐍂𐌰𐌽 𐌸𐌹𐌶𐌴 𐌽𐌹 𐌼𐌰𐍄𐌾𐌰𐌹? 𐍈𐌰𐍃 𐌷𐌰𐌻𐌳𐌹𐌸 𐌰𐍅𐌴𐌸𐌹 𐌾𐌰𐌷 𐌼𐌹𐌻𐌿𐌺𐍃 𐌸𐌹𐍃 𐌰𐍅𐌴𐌸𐌾𐌹𐍃 𐌽𐌹 𐌼𐌰𐍄𐌾𐌰𐌹? Who goeth a warfare any time at his own charges? who planteth a vineyard, and eateth not of the fruit thereof? or who feedeth a flock, and eateth not of the milk of the flock?
𐌹𐌱𐌰𐌹 𐌱𐌹 𐌼𐌰𐌽𐌽𐌰𐌼 𐌸𐌰𐍄𐌰 𐌵𐌹𐌸𐌰, 𐌰𐌹𐌸𐌸𐌰𐌿 𐌾𐌰𐌷 𐍅𐌹𐍄𐍉𐌸 𐌸𐌰𐍄𐌰 𐌵𐌹𐌸𐌹𐌸? Say I these things as a man? or saith not the law the same also?
𐌹𐌽 𐍅𐌹𐍄𐍉𐌳𐌰 𐌰𐌿𐌺 𐌼𐍉𐍃𐌴𐌶𐌹𐍃 𐌲𐌰𐌼𐌴𐌻𐌹𐌸 𐌹𐍃𐍄: 𐌽𐌹 𐍆𐌰𐌿𐍂𐌼𐌿𐌻𐌾𐌰𐌹𐍃 𐌰𐌿𐌷𐍃𐌰𐌿 𐌸𐍂𐌹𐍃𐌺𐌰𐌽𐌳𐌰𐌽. 𐌽𐌹 𐌸𐌰𐍄𐌴𐌹 𐌱𐌹 𐌰𐌿𐌷𐍃𐌿𐌼 𐌿𐍃 . . . . For it is written in the law of Moses, Thou shalt not muzzle the mouth of the ox that treadeth out the corn. Doth God take care for oxen?
— Or saith he it altogether for our sakes? For our sakes, no doubt, this is written: that he that ploweth should plow in hope; and that he that thresheth in hope should be partaker of his hope.
— If we have sown unto you spiritual things, is it a great thing if we shall reap your carnal things?
— If others be partakers of this power over you, are not we rather? Nevertheless we have not used this power; but suffer all things, lest we should hinder the gospel of Christ.
— Do ye not know that they which minister about holy things live of the things of the temple? and they which wait at the altar are partakers with the altar?
— Even so hath the Lord ordained that they which preach the gospel should live of the gospel.
— But I have used none of these things: neither have I written these things, that it should be so done unto me: for it were better for me to die, than that any man should make my glorying void.
— For though I preach the gospel, I have nothing to glory of: for necessity is laid upon me; yea, woe is unto me, if I preach not the gospel!
— For if I do this thing willingly, I have a reward: but if against my will, a dispensation of the gospel is committed unto me.
— What is my reward then? Verily that, when I preach the gospel, I may make the gospel of Christ without charge, that I abuse not my power in the gospel.
. . . . 𐌴𐌹 𐌼𐌰𐌽𐌰𐌲𐌹𐌶𐌰𐌽𐍃 𐌲𐌰𐌲𐌴𐌹𐌲𐌰𐌹𐌳𐌴𐌳𐌾𐌰𐌿. For though I be free from all men, yet have I made myself servant unto all, that I might gain the more.
𐌾𐌰𐌷 𐍅𐌰𐍂𐌸 𐌹𐌿𐌳𐌰𐌹𐌿𐌼 𐍃𐍅𐌴 𐌾𐌿𐌳𐌰𐌹𐌿𐍃, 𐌴𐌹 𐌾𐌿𐌳𐌰𐌹𐌿𐌽𐍃 𐌲𐌰𐌲𐌴𐌹𐌲𐌰𐌹𐌳𐌰𐌿; 𐌸𐌰𐌹𐌼 𐌿𐍆 𐍅𐌹𐍄𐍉𐌳𐌰 𐍃𐍅𐌴 𐌿𐍆 𐍅𐌹𐍄𐍉𐌳𐌰, 𐌽𐌹 𐍅𐌹𐍃𐌰𐌽𐌳𐍃 𐍃𐌹𐌻𐌱𐌰 𐌿𐍆 𐍅𐌹𐍄𐍉𐌳𐌰, 𐌰𐌺 𐌿𐍆 𐌰𐌽𐍃𐍄𐌰𐌹, 𐌴𐌹 𐌸𐌰𐌽𐍃 𐌿𐍆 𐍅𐌹𐍄𐍉𐌳𐌰 𐌲𐌰𐌲𐌴𐌹𐌲[𐌲]𐌰𐌹𐌳𐌴𐌳𐌾𐌰𐌿; And unto the Jews I became as a Jew, that I might gain the Jews; to them that are under the law, as under the law, that I might gain them that are under the law;
𐌸𐌰𐌹𐌼 𐍅𐌹𐍄𐍉𐌳𐌰𐌻𐌰𐌿𐍃𐌰𐌼 𐍃𐍅𐌴 𐍅𐌹𐍄𐍉𐌳𐌰𐌻𐌰𐌿𐍃, 𐌽𐌹 𐍅𐌹𐍃𐌰𐌽𐌳𐍃 𐍅𐌹𐍄𐍉𐌳𐌹𐍃 𐌻𐌰𐌿𐍃 𐌲𐌿𐌳𐌹𐍃, 𐌰𐌺 𐌹𐌽𐍅𐌹𐍄𐍉𐌸 𐍇𐍂𐌹𐍃𐍄𐌰𐌿𐍃, 𐌴𐌹 𐌲𐌰𐌲𐌴𐌹𐌲[𐌲]𐌰𐌿 𐍅𐌹𐍄𐍉𐌳𐌰𐌻𐌰𐌿𐍃𐌰𐌽𐍃. To them that are without law, as without law, (being not without law to God, but under the law to Christ,) that I might gain them that are without law.
𐍅𐌰𐍃 𐌸𐌰𐌹𐌼 𐌿𐌽𐌼𐌰𐌷𐍄𐌴𐌹𐌲𐌰𐌼 𐍃𐍅𐌴 𐌿𐌽𐌼𐌰𐌷𐍄𐌴𐌹𐌲𐍃, 𐌴𐌹 𐌿𐌽𐌼𐌰𐌷𐍄𐌴𐌹𐌲𐌰𐌽𐍃 𐌲𐌰𐌲𐌴𐌹𐌲[𐌲]𐌰𐌹𐌳𐌴𐌳𐌾𐌰𐌿; 𐌰𐌻𐌻𐌰𐌹𐌼 𐍅𐌰𐍃 𐌰𐌻𐌻, 𐌴𐌹 𐍈𐌰𐌹𐍅𐌰 𐍃𐌿𐌼𐌰𐌽𐍃 𐌲𐌰𐌽𐌰𐍃𐌾𐌰𐌿. To the weak became I as weak, that I might gain the weak: I am made all things to all men, that I might by all means save some.
𐌸𐌰𐍄𐌿𐌸~𐌸𐌰𐌽 𐍄𐌰𐌿𐌾𐌰 𐌹𐌽 𐌰𐌹𐍅𐌰𐌲𐌲𐌴𐌻𐌾𐌹𐍃, 𐌴𐌹 𐌲𐌰𐌳𐌰𐌹𐌻𐌰 𐌹𐍃 𐍅𐌰𐌹𐍂𐌸𐌰𐌿. And this I do for the gospel’s sake, that I might be partaker thereof with you.
𐌽𐌹𐌿 𐍅𐌹𐍄𐌿𐌸 𐌸𐌰𐍄𐌴𐌹 𐌸𐌰𐌹 𐌹𐌽 𐍃𐍀𐌰𐌿𐍂𐌳 𐍂𐌹𐌽𐌽𐌰𐌽𐌳𐌰𐌽𐍃 𐌰𐌻𐌻𐌰𐌹 𐍂𐌹𐌽𐌽𐌰𐌽𐌳, 𐌹𐌸 𐌰𐌹𐌽𐍃 𐌽𐌹𐌼𐌹𐌸 𐍃𐌹𐌲𐌹𐍃𐌻𐌰𐌿𐌽? 𐍃𐍅𐌰 𐍂𐌹𐌽𐌽𐌰𐌹𐌸, 𐌴𐌹 𐌲𐌰𐍂𐌹𐌽𐌽𐌰𐌹𐌸. Know ye not that they which run in a race run all, but one receiveth the prize? So run, that ye may obtain.
𐌹𐌸 𐍈𐌰𐌶𐌿𐌷 𐍃𐌰𐌴𐌹 𐌷𐌰𐌹𐍆𐍃𐍄𐌾𐌰𐌽 𐍃𐌽𐌹𐍅𐌹𐌸, 𐌰𐌻𐌻𐌹𐍃 𐍃𐌹𐌺 𐌲𐌰𐌸𐌰𐍂𐌱𐌹𐌸; 𐌰𐌸𐌸𐌰𐌽 𐌴𐌹𐍃, 𐌴𐌹 𐍂𐌹𐌿𐍂𐌾𐌰𐌽𐌰 𐍅𐌰𐌹𐍀 𐌽𐌹𐌼𐌰𐌹𐌽𐌰, 𐌹𐌸 𐍅𐌴𐌹𐍃 𐌿𐌽𐍂𐌹𐌿𐍂𐌾𐌰𐌽𐌰. And every man that striveth for the mastery is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a corruptible crown; but we an incorruptible.
𐌰𐌸𐌸𐌰𐌽 𐌹𐌺 𐌽𐌿 𐍃𐍅𐌰 𐍂𐌹𐌽𐌽𐌰, 𐌽𐌹 𐌳𐌿 𐌿𐌽𐍅𐌹𐍃𐌰𐌼𐌼𐌰; 𐍃𐍅𐌰 𐌾𐌹𐌿𐌺𐌰, 𐌽𐌹 𐍃𐍅𐌴 𐌻𐌿𐍆𐍄𐌿 𐌱𐌻𐌹𐌲𐌲𐍅𐌰𐌽𐌳𐍃; I therefore so run, not as uncertainly; so fight I, not as one that beateth the air:
𐌰𐌺 𐌻𐌴𐌹𐌺 𐌼𐌴𐌹𐌽 𐍅𐌻𐌹𐌶𐌾𐌰 𐌾𐌰𐌷 𐌰𐌽𐌰𐌸𐌹𐍅𐌰, 𐌹𐌱𐌰𐌹 𐌰𐌽𐌸𐌰𐍂𐌰𐌹𐌼 𐌼𐌴𐍂𐌾𐌰𐌽𐌳𐍃 𐍃𐌹𐌻𐌱𐌰 𐌿𐍃𐌺𐌿𐍃𐌰𐌽𐍃 𐍅𐌰𐌹𐍂𐌸𐌰𐌿. But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway.
