절	Good News Translation (1992)	King James Version
1	A Prayer for Help O Lord, my defender, I call to you. Listen to my cry! If you do not answer me, I will be among those who go down to the world of the dead.	Unto thee will I cry, O Lord my rock; be not silent to me: lest, if thou be silent to me, I become like them that go down into the pit.
2	Hear me when I cry to you for help, when I lift my hands toward your holy Temple.	Hear the voice of my supplications, when I cry unto thee, when I lift up my hands toward thy holy oracle.
3	Do not condemn me with the wicked, with those who do evil— those whose words are friendly, but who have hatred in their hearts.	Draw me not away with the wicked, and with the workers of iniquity, which speak peace to their neighbours, but mischief is in their hearts.
4	Punish them for what they have done, for the evil they have committed. Punish them for all their deeds; give them what they deserve!	Give them according to their deeds, and according to the wickedness of their endeavours: give them after the work of their hands; render to them their desert.
5	They take no notice of what the Lord has done or of what he has made; so he will punish them and destroy them forever.	Because they regard not the works of the Lord, nor the operation of his hands, he shall destroy them, and not build them up.
6	Give praise to the Lord; he has heard my cry for help.	Blessed be the Lord, because he hath heard the voice of my supplications.
7	The Lord protects and defends me; I trust in him. He gives me help and makes me glad; I praise him with joyful songs.	The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in him, and I am helped: therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth; and with my song will I praise him.
8	The Lord protects his people; he defends and saves his chosen king.	The Lord is their strength, and he is the saving strength of his anointed.
9	Save your people, Lord, and bless those who are yours. Be their shepherd, and take care of them forever.	Save thy people, and bless thine inheritance: feed them also, and lift them up for ever.
