| 1 | A Prayer of Humble Trust Lord, I have given up my pride and turned away from my arrogance. I am not concerned with great matters or with subjects too difficult for me. |
Lord, my heart is not haughty, nor mine eyes lofty: neither do I exercise myself in great matters, or in things too high for me. |
| 2 | Instead, I am content and at peace. As a child lies quietly in its mother's arms, so my heart is quiet within me. | Surely I have behaved and quieted myself, as a child that is weaned of his mother: my soul is even as a weaned child. |
| 3 | Israel, trust in the Lord now and forever! | Let Israel hope in the Lord from henceforth and for ever. |
