절	Good News Translation (1992)	King James Version
A Prayer for Help Help us, Lord! There is not a good person left; honest people can no longer be found.	Help, Lord; for the godly man ceaseth; for the faithful fail from among the children of men.
All of them lie to one another; they deceive each other with flattery.	They speak vanity every one with his neighbour: with flattering lips and with a double heart do they speak.
Silence those flattering tongues, O Lord! Close those boastful mouths that say,	The Lord shall cut off all flattering lips, and the tongue that speaketh proud things:
“With our words we get what we want. We will say what we wish, and no one can stop us.”	Who have said, With our tongue will we prevail; our lips are our own: who is lord over us?
“But now I will come,” says the Lord, “because the needy are oppressed and the persecuted groan in pain. I will give them the security they long for.”	For the oppression of the poor, for the sighing of the needy, now will I arise, saith the Lord; I will set him in safety from him that puffeth at him.
The promises of the Lord can be trusted; they are as genuine as silver refined seven times in the furnace.	The words of the Lord are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times.
—	Thou shalt keep them, O Lord, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever.
The wicked are everywhere, and everyone praises what is evil. Keep us always safe, O Lord, and preserve us from such people.	The wicked walk on every side, when the vilest men are exalted.
