1	Hilferuf in großer Not Ein Gebet Davids. Herr, ich bin arm und hilflos; höre mich und gib mir Antwort!	Bow down thine ear, O Lord, hear me: for I am poor and needy.
2	Bewahre mein Leben, ich gehöre doch zu dir! Hilf mir, ich bin doch dein Diener; du mein Gott, ich verlasse mich auf dich!	Preserve my soul; for I am holy: O thou my God, save thy servant that trusteth in thee.
3	Den ganzen Tag schreie ich zu dir; hab Erbarmen mit mir, Herr!	Be merciful unto me, O Lord: for I cry unto thee daily.
4	Auf dich richte ich mein Herz und meinen Sinn; erfülle mich doch wieder mit Freude!	Rejoice the soul of thy servant: for unto thee, O Lord, do I lift up my soul.
5	Herr, du bist freundlich und bereit, Schuld zu vergeben; voll Güte begegnest du allen, die zu dir beten.	For thou, Lord, art good, and ready to forgive; and plenteous in mercy unto all them that call upon thee.
6	Darum höre jetzt meine Bitte; Herr, achte auf meinen Hilferuf!	Give ear, O Lord, unto my prayer; and attend to the voice of my supplications.
7	In meiner Not schreie ich zu dir; du wirst mir Antwort geben.	In the day of my trouble I will call upon thee: for thou wilt answer me.
8	Herr, wer unter den Göttern ist wie du? Kein anderer kann deine Taten vollbringen!	Among the gods there is none like unto thee, O Lord; neither are there any works like unto thy works.
9	Du hast alle Völker geschaffen. Sie werden kommen, sich vor dir niederwerfen und dir, Herr, ihre Huldigung darbringen.	All nations whom thou hast made shall come and worship before thee, O Lord; and shall glorify thy name.
10	Denn du bist groß und tust Wunder; nur du bist Gott, du ganz allein!	For thou art great, and doest wondrous things: thou art God alone.
11	Herr, zeige mir den richtigen Weg, damit ich in Treue zu dir mein Leben führe! Lass es meine einzige Sorge sein, dich zu ehren und dir zu gehorchen!	Teach me thy way, O Lord; I will walk in thy truth: unite my heart to fear thy name.
12	Herr, mein Gott, von ganzem Herzen will ich dir danken und allezeit deinen Ruhm verkünden;	I will praise thee, O Lord my God, with all my heart: and I will glorify thy name for evermore.
13	denn du bist überaus gut zu mir gewesen: Du hast mein Leben gerettet aus der untersten Totenwelt.	For great is thy mercy toward me: and thou hast delivered my soul from the lowest hell.
14	Gott, vermessene Leute greifen mich an, eine gewalttätige Bande will mir ans Leben, sie alle fragen nicht nach dir.	O God, the proud are risen against me, and the assemblies of violent men have sought after my soul; and have not set thee before them.
15	Aber du, Herr, du bist ein Gott voll Liebe und Erbarmen, du hast viel Geduld, deine Güte und Treue sind grenzenlos.	But thou, O Lord, art a God full of compassion, and gracious, longsuffering, and plenteous in mercy and truth.
16	Darum wende dich mir zu, hab Erbarmen mit mir! Gib mir deine Kraft und deine Hilfe! Ich gehöre dir doch mit Leib und Leben!	O turn unto me, and have mercy upon me; give thy strength unto thy servant, and save the son of thine handmaid.
17	Zeige mir, dass du es gut mit mir meinst! Alle, die mich hassen, werden sich schämen, wenn sie sehen, wie du mir hilfst und mich tröstest.	Shew me a token for good; that they which hate me may see it, and be ashamed: because thou, Lord, hast holpen me, and comforted me.
