| 1 | Davidin viattomuus, josta hän Herralle veisasi, Kuusin Jeminin pojan sanan tähden: (H 7:2) Sinuun, Herra minun Jumalani, minä uskallan: auta minua kaikista minun vainollisistani, ja pelasta minua; | O Lord my God, in thee do I put my trust: save me from all them that persecute me, and deliver me: |
| 2 | (H 7:3) Ettei he repisi minun sieluani niinkuin jalopeura, ja sätkisi ilman holhojaa. | Lest he tear my soul like a lion, rending it in pieces, while there is none to deliver. |

| 8 | (H 7:9) Herra on kansain tuomari: tuomitse Herra minua vanhurskauteni ja vakuuteni jälkeen. | The Lord shall judge the people: judge me, O Lord, according to my righteousness, and according to mine integrity that is in me. |
| 9 | (H 7:10) Loppukoon jumalattomain pahuus, ja holho vanhurskaita; sillä sinä, vanhurskas Jumala, tutkit sydämet ja munaskuut. | Oh let the wickedness of the wicked come to an end; but establish the just: for the righteous God trieth the hearts and reins. |
