| 1 | 我想醫治 以色列的時候，以法蓮 的罪孽 和撒馬利亞 的罪惡 就顯露出來。 他們行事 虛謊，內有賊人 入室偷竊，外 有強盜成群 騷擾。 | When I would have healed Israel, then the iniquity of Ephraim was discovered, and the wickedness of Samaria: for they commit falsehood; and the thief cometh in, and the troop of robbers spoileth without. |
| 2 | 他們心裡 並不 思想 我記念 他們的一切 惡；他們所行的 現在 纏繞他們，都在 我面 前。 | And they consider not in their hearts that I remember all their wickedness: now their own doings have beset them about; they are before my face. |
| 3 | 他們行惡 使君王 歡喜，說謊 使首領喜樂。 | They make the king glad with their wickedness, and the princes with their lies. |
| 4 | 他們都 是行淫的，像 火爐 被 烤餅的 燒熱，從摶 麵 到 發麵的時候，暫不使 火著旺。 | They are all adulterers, as an oven heated by the baker, who ceaseth from raising after he hath kneaded the dough, until it be leavened. |
| 5 | 在我們王 宴樂的日子，首領 因酒 的烈性 成病；王與 褻慢人 拉 手。 | In the day of our king the princes have made him sick with bottles of wine; he stretched out his hand with scorners. |
| 6 | 首領埋伏的時候， 心中 熱 如火爐，就如烤餅的 整 夜 睡臥，到了早晨 火 氣 炎炎。 | For they have made ready their heart like an oven, whiles they lie in wait: their baker sleepeth all the night; in the morning it burneth as a flaming fire. |
| 7 | 眾民 也熱 如火爐，燒滅 他們的官長。他們的君王 都 仆倒而死；他們中間 無一人 求告 我。 | They are all hot as an oven, and have devoured their judges; all their kings are fallen: there is none among them that calleth unto me. |
| 8 | 以法蓮 與列邦人 攙雜；以法蓮 是 沒有 翻過 的餅。 | Ephraim, he hath mixed himself among the people; Ephraim is a cake not turned. |
| 9 | 外邦人 吞吃 他勞力得來的，他 卻不 知道；頭髮斑白，他 也 不 覺得。 | Strangers have devoured his strength, and he knoweth it not: yea, gray hairs are here and there upon him, yet he knoweth not. |
| 10 | 以色列 的驕傲 當面 見證自己，雖遭遇這 一切，他們仍不 歸 向 耶和華─他們的 神，也不 尋求他。 | And the pride of Israel testifieth to his face: and they do not return to the Lord their God, nor seek him for all this. |
| 11 | 以法蓮 好像鴿子 愚蠢 無 知；他們求告 埃及，投奔 亞述。 | Ephraim also is like a silly dove without heart: they call to Egypt, they go to Assyria. |
| 12 | 他們去 的時候，我必將我的網 撒 在他們身上；我要打下他們，如同空中 的鳥。我必按他們會眾 所聽見的 懲罰他們。 | When they shall go, I will spread my net upon them; I will bring them down as the fowls of the heaven; I will chastise them, as their congregation hath heard. |
| 13 | 他們 因 離棄 我，必定有禍； 因 違背 我，必被毀滅。我 雖要救贖他們，他們卻 向我 說 謊。 | Woe unto them! for they have fled from me: destruction unto them! because they have transgressed against me: though I have redeemed them, yet they have spoken lies against me. |
| 14 | 他們並不 誠心 哀求 我，乃 在 床 上呼號；他們為 求五穀 新酒 聚集，仍然悖逆 我。 | And they have not cried unto me with their heart, when they howled upon their beds: they assemble themselves for corn and wine, and they rebel against me. |
| 15 | 我 雖教導他們，堅固 他們的膀臂，他們竟圖謀 抗拒我。 | Though I have bound and strengthened their arms, yet do they imagine mischief against me. |
| 16 | 他們歸向，卻不 歸向至上者；他們 如同翻背 的弓。他們的首領 必因舌頭 的狂傲 倒 在刀下；這 在埃及 地 必作人的譏笑。 | They return, but not to the most High: they are like a deceitful bow: their princes shall fall by the sword for the rage of their tongue: this shall be their derision in the land of Egypt. |
