| 1 | 以色列 是茂盛 的葡萄樹，結 果繁多。果子 越多，就越增添 祭壇；地土 越肥美，就越造美麗 的柱像。 | Israel is an empty vine, he bringeth forth fruit unto himself: according to the multitude of his fruit he hath increased the altars; according to the goodness of his land they have made goodly images. |
| 2 | 他們心 懷二意，現今 要定為有罪。耶和華必 拆毀 他們的祭壇，毀壞 他們的柱像。 | Their heart is divided; now shall they be found faulty: he shall break down their altars, he shall spoil their images. |
| 3 | 他們必說：我們 沒有 王，因為 我們不 敬畏 耶和華。王 能為我們 做 甚麼呢？ | For now they shall say, We have no king, because we feared not the Lord; what then should a king do to us? |
| 4 | 他們為立 約 說 謊言，起假 誓；因此，災罰 如苦菜 滋生 在 田 間的犁溝中。 | They have spoken words, swearing falsely in making a covenant: thus judgment springeth up as hemlock in the furrows of the field. |
| 5 | 撒馬利亞 的居民必因伯‧亞文 的牛犢 驚恐；崇拜牛犢的民 和喜愛 牛犢的祭司 都必因 榮耀 離開 它，為它 悲哀。 | The inhabitants of Samaria shall fear because of the calves of Beth–aven: for the people thereof shall mourn over it, and the priests thereof that rejoiced on it, for the glory thereof, because it is departed from it. |
| 6 | 人必將牛犢 帶 到亞述 當作禮物，獻給耶雷布 王。以法蓮 必蒙 羞；以色列 必因自己的計謀 慚愧。 | It shall be also carried unto Assyria for a present to king Jareb: Ephraim shall receive shame, and Israel shall be ashamed of his own counsel. |

| 12 | 你們要為自己 栽種 公義，就能收割 慈愛。現今正是尋求 耶和華 的時候；你們 要開墾 荒地，等 他臨到，使公義 如雨降 在你們身上。 | Sow to yourselves in righteousness, reap in mercy; break up your fallow ground: for it is time to seek the Lord, till he come and rain righteousness upon you. |

| 14 | 所以在這民中 必有 鬨嚷之聲，你一切的 保障 必被拆毀，就如沙勒幔 在爭戰 的日子 拆毀伯‧亞比勒，將其中的母 子 一同摔死。 | Therefore shall a tumult arise among thy people, and all thy fortresses shall be spoiled, as Shalman spoiled Beth–arbel in the day of battle: the mother was dashed in pieces upon her children. |
| 15 | 因 他們的大 惡，伯特利 必使 你們 遭遇如此。到了黎明，以色列 的王 必全然 滅絕。 | So shall Beth–el do unto you because of your great wickedness: in a morning shall the king of Israel utterly be cut off. |
