| 3 | 說：「巴不 得 我們早死 在埃及 地、耶和華 的手下；那時我們坐 在 肉 鍋旁邊，吃 得飽足。 你們將我們 領出來，到 這 曠野，是要叫 這 全 會眾 都餓 死啊！」 | And the children of Israel said unto them, Would to God we had died by the hand of the Lord in the land of Egypt, when we sat by the flesh pots, and when we did eat bread to the full; for ye have brought us forth into this wilderness, to kill this whole assembly with hunger. |

| 8 | 摩西 又說：「耶和華 晚上 必給 你們 肉 吃，早晨 必給你們食物 得飽；因為你們 向 耶和華 發 的 怨言，他都聽見了。我們 算甚麼，你們的怨言 不是 向我們發的，乃是 向 耶和華發的。」 | And Moses said, This shall be, when the Lord shall give you in the evening flesh to eat, and in the morning bread to the full; for that the Lord heareth your murmurings which ye murmur against him: and what are we? your murmurings are not against us, but against the Lord. |

| 12 | 「我已經聽見 以色列 人 的怨言。你告訴 他們 說：『到 黃昏的時候，你們要吃 肉，早晨 必有食物 得飽，你們就知道 我 是耶和華─你們的 神。』」 | I have heard the murmurings of the children of Israel: speak unto them, saying, At even ye shall eat flesh, and in the morning ye shall be filled with bread; and ye shall know that I am the Lord your God. |
| 13 | 到了 晚上，有鵪鶉 飛來，遮滿了 營；早晨 在營 四圍 的地上有 露水。 | And it came to pass, that at even the quails came up, and covered the camp: and in the morning the dew lay round about the host. |
| 14 | 露水 上升之後，不料，野地 面 上 有 如白霜 的小 圓物。 | And when the dew that lay was gone up, behold, upon the face of the wilderness there lay a small round thing, as small as the hoar frost on the ground. |
| 15 | 以色列 人 看見，不 知道 是 甚麼，就彼此 對問說：「這 是 甚麼呢？」摩西 對他們 說：「這 就是 耶和華 給 你們 吃的 食物。 | And when the children of Israel saw it, they said one to another, It is manna: for they wist not what it was. And Moses said unto them, This is the bread which the Lord hath given you to eat. |
| 16 | 耶和華 所 吩咐的 是這樣：你們要按著 各人 的飯量， 為帳棚裡 的人，按著人 數 收起來，各 拿 一俄梅珥。」 | This is the thing which the Lord hath commanded, Gather of it every man according to his eating, an omer for every man, according to the number of your persons; take ye every man for them which are in his tents. |
| 17 | 以色列 人 就這樣 行；有多 收的，有少收的。 | And the children of Israel did so, and gathered, some more, some less. |
| 18 | 及至用俄梅珥 量一量，多收的 也沒有 餘，少收的 也沒有 缺；各人 按著 自己的飯量 收取。 | And when they did mete it with an omer, he that gathered much had nothing over, and he that gathered little had no lack; they gathered every man according to his eating. |
| 19 | 摩西 對他們 說：「所收的，不許 甚麼人 留 到 早晨。」 | And Moses said, Let no man leave of it till the morning. |
| 20 | 然而他們不 聽 摩西的話，內中有 留 到 早晨的，就生 蟲 變臭了；摩西 便向他們 發怒。 | Notwithstanding they hearkened not unto Moses; but some of them left of it until the morning, and it bred worms, and stank: and Moses was wroth with them. |
| 21 | 他們每日 早晨，按著 各人 的飯量 收取，日頭 一發熱，就消化了。 | And they gathered it every morning, every man according to his eating: and when the sun waxed hot, it melted. |
| 22 | 到 第六 天，他們收了 雙倍 的食物，每人 兩 俄梅珥。會眾的 官長 來 告訴 摩西； | And it came to pass, that on the sixth day they gathered twice as much bread, two omers for one man: and all the rulers of the congregation came and told Moses. |
| 23 | 摩西對他們 說：「耶和華 這樣 說：『明天 是聖 安息日，是向耶和華 守的聖安息日。 你們要烤 的 就烤了， 要煮 的 就煮了， 所 剩下的 都留 到 早晨。』」 | And he said unto them, This is that which the Lord hath said, To morrow is the rest of the holy sabbath unto the Lord: bake that which ye will bake to day, and seethe that ye will seethe; and that which remaineth over lay up for you to be kept until the morning. |
| 24 | 他們就照 摩西 的吩咐 留 到 早晨，也不 臭，裡頭 也沒 有 蟲子。 | And they laid it up till the morning, as Moses bade: and it did not stink, neither was there any worm therein. |
| 25 | 摩西 說：「你們今天 吃這個吧！因為 今天 是向耶和華 守的安息日； 你們在田野 必找 不著了。 | And Moses said, Eat that to day; for to day is a sabbath unto the Lord: to day ye shall not find it in the field. |
| 26 | 六 天 可以收取，第七 天 乃是安息日，那一天 必沒 有了。」 | Six days ye shall gather it; but on the seventh day, which is the sabbath, in it there shall be none. |
| 27 | 第七 天， 百姓 中有人出去 收，甚麼也找 不著。 | And it came to pass, that there went out some of the people on the seventh day for to gather, and they found none. |
| 28 | 耶和華 對 摩西 說：「你們不肯 守 我的誡命 和律法，要到 幾時呢？ | And the Lord said unto Moses, How long refuse ye to keep my commandments and my laws? |
| 29 | 你們看！耶和華 既 將安息日 賜 給你們，所以 第六 天 他 賜 給你們 兩天 的食物，第七 天 各人 要住 在自己的地方，不許 甚麼人 出去。」 | See, for that the Lord hath given you the sabbath, therefore he giveth you on the sixth day the bread of two days; abide ye every man in his place, let no man go out of his place on the seventh day. |
| 30 | 於是百姓 第七 天 安息了。 | So the people rested on the seventh day. |
| 31 | 這食物，以色列 家 叫 嗎哪； 樣子像芫荽 子，顏色是白的，滋味 如同攙蜜 的薄餅。 | And the house of Israel called the name thereof Manna: and it was like coriander seed, white; and the taste of it was like wafers made with honey. |
| 32 | 摩西 說：「耶和華 所 吩咐 的是這樣：『要將一滿 俄梅珥 嗎哪 留 到世世代代，使 後人可以看見 我當日將你們 領 出埃及 地，在曠野 所 給你們 吃的 食物。』」 | And Moses said, This is the thing which the Lord commandeth, Fill an omer of it to be kept for your generations; that they may see the bread wherewith I have fed you in the wilderness, when I brought you forth from the land of Egypt. |
| 33 | 摩西 對 亞倫 說：「你拿 一個 罐子，盛 一滿 俄梅珥 嗎哪，存 在耶和華 面前，要留 到世世代代。」 | And Moses said unto Aaron, Take a pot, and put an omer full of manna therein, and lay it up before the Lord, to be kept for your generations. |
| 34 | 耶和華 怎麼 吩咐 摩西，亞倫就怎麼行，把嗎哪放 在法櫃 前 存留。 | As the Lord commanded Moses, so Aaron laid it up before the Testimony, to be kept. |
| 35 | 以色列 人 吃 嗎哪 共四十 年，直到 進了 有人居住 之地， 就是 迦南 的境界。 | And the children of Israel did eat manna forty years, until they came to a land inhabited; they did eat manna, until they came unto the borders of the land of Canaan. |
| 36 | （俄梅珥 就是 伊法 十分之一。） | Now an omer is the tenth part of an ephah. |
