| 1 | 以色列 全 會眾 都遵 耶和華 的吩咐，按著站口 從汛 的曠野 往前行，在利非訂 安營。百姓 沒有 水 喝， | And all the congregation of the children of Israel journeyed from the wilderness of Sin, after their journeys, according to the commandment of the Lord, and pitched in Rephidim: and there was no water for the people to drink. |
| 2 | 所以 與 摩西 爭鬧，說：「給 我們 水 喝吧！」摩西 對他們 說：「你們為甚麼 與我 爭鬧？為甚麼 試探 耶和華呢？」 | Wherefore the people did chide with Moses, and said, Give us water that we may drink. And Moses said unto them, Why chide ye with me? wherefore do ye tempt the Lord? |
| 3 | 百姓 在那裡 甚渴，要喝水， 就向 摩西 發怨言，說：「你為甚麼 將我們從埃及 領出來，使我們 和 我們的兒女 並 牲畜 都渴 死呢？」 | And the people thirsted there for water; and the people murmured against Moses, and said, Wherefore is this that thou hast brought us up out of Egypt, to kill us and our children and our cattle with thirst? |
| 4 | 摩西 就呼求 耶和華 說：「我向這 百姓 怎樣 行呢？他們幾乎 要拿石頭打死我。」 | And Moses cried unto the Lord, saying, What shall I do unto this people? they be almost ready to stone me. |
| 5 | 耶和華 對 摩西 說：「你手裡 拿著 你先前擊打 河水 的杖，帶領 以色列 的幾個長老，從百姓 面前 走 過去。 | And the Lord said unto Moses, Go on before the people, and take with thee of the elders of Israel; and thy rod, wherewith thou smotest the river, take in thine hand, and go. |
| 6 | 我 必在 何烈 的磐石 那裡，站 在你面前。你要擊打 磐石，從磐石裡 必有水 流出來，使百姓 可以喝。」摩西 就在以色列 的長老 眼前 這樣 行了。 | Behold, I will stand before thee there upon the rock in Horeb; and thou shalt smite the rock, and there shall come water out of it, that the people may drink. And Moses did so in the sight of the elders of Israel. |

| 9 | 摩西 對 約書亞 說：「你為我們 選出 人來，出去 和亞瑪力人 爭戰。明天 我 手裡要拿著 神 的杖，站 在 山 頂上。」 | And Moses said unto Joshua, Choose us out men, and go out, fight with Amalek: to morrow I will stand on the top of the hill with the rod of God in mine hand. |
| 10 | 於是約書亞 照著摩西 對他 所 說的 話行，和亞瑪力人 爭戰。摩西、亞倫，與戶珥 都上了 山 頂。 | So Joshua did as Moses had said to him, and fought with Amalek: and Moses, Aaron, and Hur went up to the top of the hill. |

| 13 | 約書亞 用 刀 殺了 亞瑪力 王和 他的百姓。 | And Joshua discomfited Amalek and his people with the edge of the sword. |
| 14 | 耶和華 對 摩西 說：「 我要將 亞瑪力 的名號 從天 下 全然 塗抹了；你要將這 話寫 在書上 作紀念，又念 給約書亞聽。」 | And the Lord said unto Moses, Write this for a memorial in a book, and rehearse it in the ears of Joshua: for I will utterly put out the remembrance of Amalek from under heaven. |
| 15 | 摩西 築了 一座壇，起名 叫「耶和華尼西」（就是耶和華是我旌旗的意思）， | And Moses built an altar, and called the name of it JEHOVAH–nissi: |
| 16 | 又說：「 耶和華 已經起了 誓， 必世世 代代 和亞瑪力人 爭戰。」 | For he said, Because the Lord hath sworn that the Lord will have war with Amalek from generation to generation. |
