| 1 | 王 的心 在耶和華 手中，好像隴溝 的水 隨 意 流轉。 | The king’s heart is in the hand of the Lord, as the rivers of water: he turneth it whithersoever he will. |
| 2 | 人 所 行的，在自己眼 中都看為正；惟有耶和華 衡量 人心。 | Every way of a man is right in his own eyes: but the Lord pondereth the hearts. |
| 3 | 行 仁義 公平 比獻祭 更蒙耶和華 悅納。 | To do justice and judgment is more acceptable to the Lord than sacrifice. |
| 4 | 惡人發達（發達：原文是燈），眼 高 心 傲，這乃是罪。 | An high look, and a proud heart, and the plowing of the wicked, is sin. |
| 5 | 殷勤 籌劃的，足致 豐裕； 行事急躁的，都必 缺乏。 | The thoughts of the diligent tend only to plenteousness; but of every one that is hasty only to want. |
| 6 | 用詭詐 之舌 求 財的，就是自己取 死；所得之財乃是吹來吹去的 浮雲。 | The getting of treasures by a lying tongue is a vanity tossed to and fro of them that seek death. |
| 7 | 惡人 的強暴 必將自己掃除，因 他們不肯 按公平 行事。 | The robbery of the wicked shall destroy them; because they refuse to do judgment. |
| 8 | 負罪 之人 的路 甚是彎曲；至於清潔的人，他所行 的乃是正直。 | The way of man is froward and strange: but as for the pure, his work is right. |
| 9 | 寧可 住 在 房頂 的角上，不在寬闊 的房屋 與爭吵的 婦人同住。 | It is better to dwell in a corner of the housetop, than with a brawling woman in a wide house. |
| 10 | 惡人 的心 樂 人受禍；他眼 並不 憐恤 鄰舍。 | The soul of the wicked desireth evil: his neighbour findeth no favour in his eyes. |
| 11 | 褻慢的人 受刑罰，愚蒙的人 就得智慧；智慧人 受訓誨，便得 知識。 | When the scorner is punished, the simple is made wise: and when the wise is instructed, he receiveth knowledge. |
| 12 | 義 人思想 惡人 的家，知道惡人 傾倒，必致滅亡。 | The righteous man wisely considereth the house of the wicked: but God overthroweth the wicked for their wickedness. |
| 13 | 塞 耳 不聽窮人 哀求的，他 將來呼籲 也 不 蒙應允。 | Whoso stoppeth his ears at the cry of the poor, he also shall cry himself, but shall not be heard. |
| 14 | 暗中 送的禮物 挽回 怒氣；懷中 搋的賄賂 止息暴 怒。 | A gift in secret pacifieth anger: and a reward in the bosom strong wrath. |
| 15 | 秉公行 義 使義人 喜樂，使作 孽 的人敗壞。 | It is joy to the just to do judgment: but destruction shall be to the workers of iniquity. |
| 16 | 迷離 通達 道路 的，必住在 陰魂 的會中。 | The man that wandereth out of the way of understanding shall remain in the congregation of the dead. |
| 17 | 愛 宴樂的，必致窮乏；好 酒，愛膏油的，必不 富足。 | He that loveth pleasure shall be a poor man: he that loveth wine and oil shall not be rich. |
| 18 | 惡人 作了義人 的贖價；奸詐人 代替 正直人。 | The wicked shall be a ransom for the righteous, and the transgressor for the upright. |
| 19 | 寧可 住 在 曠野，不與爭吵 使氣 的婦人同住。 | It is better to dwell in the wilderness, than with a contentious and an angry woman. |
| 20 | 智慧 人家中 積蓄 寶物 膏油；愚昧 人 隨得來隨吞下。 | There is treasure to be desired and oil in the dwelling of the wise; but a foolish man spendeth it up. |
| 21 | 追求 公義 仁慈的，就尋得 生命、公義，和尊榮。 | He that followeth after righteousness and mercy findeth life, righteousness, and honour. |
| 22 | 智慧人 爬上 勇士 的城牆，傾覆 他所倚靠 的堅壘。 | A wise man scaleth the city of the mighty, and casteth down the strength of the confidence thereof. |
| 23 | 謹守 口 與舌的，就保守 自己 免受災難。 | Whoso keepeth his mouth and his tongue keepeth his soul from troubles. |
| 24 | 心驕 氣傲 的人名 叫褻慢；他行事 狂妄，都出於驕傲。 | Proud and haughty scorner is his name, who dealeth in proud wrath. |
| 25 | 懶惰人 的心願 將他殺害，因為 他手 不肯 做工。 | The desire of the slothful killeth him; for his hands refuse to labour. |
| 26 | 有終 日 貪得 無饜的；義人 施捨 而不 吝惜。 | He coveteth greedily all the day long: but the righteous giveth and spareth not. |
| 27 | 惡人 的祭物 是可憎的；何況 他存惡意 來獻呢？ | The sacrifice of the wicked is abomination: how much more, when he bringeth it with a wicked mind? |
| 28 | 作假 見證 的必滅亡；惟有聽 真情而言 的，其言長存。 | A false witness shall perish: but the man that heareth speaketh constantly. |
| 29 | 惡 人 臉 無羞恥；正直人 行事 堅定。 | A wicked man hardeneth his face: but as for the upright, he directeth his way. |
| 30 | 沒有人 能以智慧、 聰明、 謀略 敵擋 耶和華。 | There is no wisdom nor understanding nor counsel against the Lord. |
| 31 | 馬 是為打仗 之日 預備的；得勝 乃在乎耶和華。 | The horse is prepared against the day of battle: but safety is of the Lord. |
