| 1 | 美名 勝過 大 財；恩 寵 強如金 銀。 | A good name is rather to be chosen than great riches, and loving favour rather than silver and gold. |
| 2 | 富戶 窮人 在世相遇，都 為耶和華 所造。 | The rich and poor meet together: the Lord is the maker of them all. |
| 3 | 通達 人見 禍 藏躲；愚蒙人 前往 受害。 | A prudent man foreseeth the evil, and hideth himself: but the simple pass on, and are punished. |
| 4 | 敬畏 耶和華 心存謙卑，就得富有、尊榮、生命 為賞賜。 | By humility and the fear of the Lord are riches, and honour, and life. |
| 5 | 乖僻人 的路 上有荊棘 和網羅；保守 自己生命的，必要遠離。 | Thorns and snares are in the way of the froward: he that doth keep his soul shall be far from them. |
| 6 | 教養 孩童，使他走 當行 的道，就是 到老 他也 不 偏離。 | Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it. |
| 7 | 富戶 管轄 窮人；欠債 的 是債主 的僕人。 | The rich ruleth over the poor, and the borrower is servant to the lender. |
| 8 | 撒 罪孽的，必收 災禍；他逞怒 的杖 也必廢掉。 | He that soweth iniquity shall reap vanity: and the rod of his anger shall fail. |
| 9 | 眼目 慈善的，就必 蒙福，因 他將食物 分 給窮人。 | He that hath a bountiful eye shall be blessed; for he giveth of his bread to the poor. |
| 10 | 趕出 褻慢人，爭端 就消除；紛爭 和羞辱 也必止息。 | Cast out the scorner, and contention shall go out; yea, strife and reproach shall cease. |
| 11 | 喜愛 清 心 的人因他嘴 上的恩言，王 必與他為友。 | He that loveth pureness of heart, for the grace of his lips the king shall be his friend. |
| 12 | 耶和華 的眼目 眷顧 聰明人，卻傾敗 奸詐人 的言語。 | The eyes of the Lord preserve knowledge, and he overthroweth the words of the transgressor. |
| 13 | 懶惰人 說：外頭 有獅子；我在 街上 就必被殺。 | The slothful man saith, There is a lion without, I shall be slain in the streets. |
| 14 | 淫婦 的口 為深 坑；耶和華 所憎惡的，必陷 在其中。 | The mouth of strange women is a deep pit: he that is abhorred of the Lord shall fall therein. |
| 15 | 愚蒙 迷住 孩童 的心，用管教 的杖 可以遠遠趕除。 | Foolishness is bound in the heart of a child; but the rod of correction shall drive it far from him. |
| 16 | 欺壓 貧窮 為要利 己的，並送 禮與富戶的，都必 缺乏。 | He that oppresseth the poor to increase his riches, and he that giveth to the rich, shall surely come to want. |
| 17 | 你須側 耳 聽受 智慧人 的言語，留心 領會 我的知識。 | Bow down thine ear, and hear the words of the wise, and apply thine heart unto my knowledge. |
| 18 | 你若 心中 存記，嘴 上 咬定，這便 為美。 | For it is a pleasant thing if thou keep them within thee; they shall withal be fitted in thy lips. |
| 19 | 我今日 以此特特 指教你，為要使 你倚靠 耶和華。 | That thy trust may be in the Lord, I have made known to thee this day, even to thee. |
| 20 | 謀略 和知識 的美事，我豈沒有 寫 給你嗎？ | Have not I written to thee excellent things in counsels and knowledge, |
| 21 | 要使你知道 真 言 的實理，你好將真 言 回覆 那打發你來的人。 | That I might make thee know the certainty of the words of truth; that thou mightest answer the words of truth to them that send unto thee? |
| 22 | 貧窮人，你不可 因 他 貧窮 就搶奪他的物，也不可 在城門口 欺壓 困苦人； | Rob not the poor, because he is poor: neither oppress the afflicted in the gate: |
| 23 | 因 耶和華 必為他辨 屈；搶奪他的，耶和華必奪取 那人的命。 | For the Lord will plead their cause, and spoil the soul of those that spoiled them. |
| 24 | 好生氣 的人，不可 與他 結交；暴怒 的人，不可 與他 來往； | Make no friendship with an angry man; and with a furious man thou shalt not go: |
| 25 | 恐怕 你效法 他的行為，自己 就陷在 網羅裡。 | Lest thou learn his ways, and get a snare to thy soul. |
| 26 | 不要 與人擊 掌，不要為欠債 的作保。 | Be not thou one of them that strike hands, or of them that are sureties for debts. |
| 27 | 你 若 沒有 甚麼償還，何必 使人奪去 你睡臥 的床呢？ | If thou hast nothing to pay, why should he take away thy bed from under thee? |
| 28 | 你先祖 所 立 的地界，你不可 挪移。 | Remove not the ancient landmark, which thy fathers have set. |
| 29 | 你看見 辦事 殷勤 的人嗎？他必站在 君王 面前，必不 站在 下賤人 面前。 | Seest thou a man diligent in his business? he shall stand before kings; he shall not stand before mean men. |
