| 1 | 詭詐 的天平 為耶和華 所憎惡；公平 的法碼 為他所喜悅。 | A false balance is abomination to the Lord: but a just weight is his delight. |
| 2 | 驕傲 來，羞恥 也來；謙遜人卻有 智慧。 | When pride cometh, then cometh shame: but with the lowly is wisdom. |
| 3 | 正直人 的純正 必引導自己；奸詐人 的乖僻 必毀滅自己。 | The integrity of the upright shall guide them: but the perverseness of transgressors shall destroy them. |
| 4 | 發怒 的日子 資財 無 益；惟有公義 能救人 脫離死亡。 | Riches profit not in the day of wrath: but righteousness delivereth from death. |
| 5 | 完全人 的義 必指引 他的路；但惡人 必因自己的惡 跌倒。 | The righteousness of the perfect shall direct his way: but the wicked shall fall by his own wickedness. |
| 6 | 正直人 的義 必拯救自己；奸詐人 必陷 在自己的罪孽中。 | The righteousness of the upright shall deliver them: but transgressors shall be taken in their own naughtiness. |
| 7 | 惡 人 一死，他的指望 必滅絕；罪人 的盼望 也必滅沒。 | When a wicked man dieth, his expectation shall perish: and the hope of unjust men perisheth. |
| 8 | 義人 得脫離 患難，有惡人 來 代替他。 | The righteous is delivered out of trouble, and the wicked cometh in his stead. |
| 9 | 不虔敬的人 用口 敗壞 鄰舍；義人 卻因知識 得救。 | An hypocrite with his mouth destroyeth his neighbour: but through knowledge shall the just be delivered. |
| 10 | 義人 享福，合城 喜樂；惡人 滅亡，人都歡呼。 | When it goeth well with the righteous, the city rejoiceth: and when the wicked perish, there is shouting. |
| 11 | 城 因正直人 祝福 便高舉，卻因邪惡人 的口 就傾覆。 | By the blessing of the upright the city is exalted: but it is overthrown by the mouth of the wicked. |
| 12 | 藐視 鄰舍的，毫無 智慧；明哲 人 卻靜默不言。 | He that is void of wisdom despiseth his neighbour: but a man of understanding holdeth his peace. |
| 13 | 往來 傳舌的，洩漏 密事；心中 誠實的，遮隱 事情。 | A talebearer revealeth secrets: but he that is of a faithful spirit concealeth the matter. |
| 14 | 無 智謀，民 就敗落；謀士 多，人便安居。 | Where no counsel is, the people fall: but in the multitude of counsellors there is safety. |
| 15 | 為 外人 作保的，必受 虧損；恨惡 擊掌的，卻得安穩。 | He that is surety for a stranger shall smart for it: and he that hateth suretiship is sure. |
| 16 | 恩德 的婦女 得 尊榮；強暴的男子 得 資財。 | A gracious woman retaineth honour: and strong men retain riches. |
| 17 | 仁慈 的人 善待 自己；殘忍的人 擾害 己身。 | The merciful man doeth good to his own soul: but he that is cruel troubleth his own flesh. |
| 18 | 惡人 經營，得虛浮 的工價；撒義 種的，得實在 的果效。 | The wicked worketh a deceitful work: but to him that soweth righteousness shall be a sure reward. |
| 19 | 恆心為義的，必得生命；追求 邪惡的，必致死亡。 | As righteousness tendeth to life: so he that pursueth evil pursueth it to his own death. |
| 20 | 心中 乖僻的，為耶和華 所憎惡；行事 完全的，為他所喜悅。 | They that are of a froward heart are abomination to the Lord: but such as are upright in their way are his delight. |
| 21 | 惡人 雖然連手，必不免 受罰；義人 的後裔 必得拯救。 | Though hand join in hand, the wicked shall not be unpunished: but the seed of the righteous shall be delivered. |
| 22 | 婦女 美貌 而無 見識，如同金 環 帶在豬 鼻上。 | As a jewel of gold in a swine’s snout, so is a fair woman which is without discretion. |
| 23 | 義人 的心願 盡得 好處；惡人 的指望 致干忿怒。 | The desire of the righteous is only good: but the expectation of the wicked is wrath. |
| 24 | 有 施散的，卻更 增添；有吝惜 過度的，反致 窮乏。 | There is that scattereth, and yet increaseth; and there is that withholdeth more than is meet, but it tendeth to poverty. |
| 25 | 好施捨的，必得豐裕；滋潤人的，必得 滋潤。 | The liberal soul shall be made fat: and he that watereth shall be watered also himself. |
| 26 | 屯糧 不賣的，民 必咒詛他；情願出賣的，人必為他 祝福。 | He that withholdeth corn, the people shall curse him: but blessing shall be upon the head of him that selleth it. |
| 27 | 懇切求 善的，就求得 恩惠；惟獨求 惡的，惡必臨到他身。 | He that diligently seeketh good procureth favour: but he that seeketh mischief, it shall come unto him. |
| 28 | 倚仗 自己財物的， 必跌倒；義人 必發旺，如青葉。 | He that trusteth in his riches shall fall: but the righteous shall flourish as a branch. |
| 29 | 擾害 己家的，必承受 清風；愚昧人 必作慧 心 人的僕人。 | He that troubleth his own house shall inherit the wind: and the fool shall be servant to the wise of heart. |
| 30 | 義人 所結的果子 就是生命 樹；有智慧的，必能得 人。 | The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life; and he that winneth souls is wise. |
| 31 | 看哪，義人 在世 尚且受報，何況 惡人 和罪人呢？ | Behold, the righteous shall be recompensed in the earth: much more the wicked and the sinner. |
