| 1 | 喜愛 管教的，就是喜愛 知識；恨惡 責備的，卻是畜類。 | Whoso loveth instruction loveth knowledge: but he that hateth reproof is brutish. |
| 2 | 善人 必蒙 耶和華 的恩惠；設詭計 的人，耶和華必定他的罪。 | A good man obtaineth favour of the Lord: but a man of wicked devices will he condemn. |
| 3 | 人 靠惡行 不能 堅立；義人 的根 必不 動搖。 | A man shall not be established by wickedness: but the root of the righteous shall not be moved. |
| 4 | 才德的 婦人 是丈夫 的冠冕；貽羞的 婦人如同朽爛 在她丈夫的骨中。 | A virtuous woman is a crown to her husband: but she that maketh ashamed is as rottenness in his bones. |
| 5 | 義人 的思念 是公平；惡人 的計謀 是詭詐。 | The thoughts of the righteous are right: but the counsels of the wicked are deceit. |
| 6 | 惡人 的言論 是埋伏 流人的血；正直人 的口 必拯救人。 | The words of the wicked are to lie in wait for blood: but the mouth of the upright shall deliver them. |
| 7 | 惡人 傾覆，歸於無有；義人 的家 必站得住。 | The wicked are overthrown, and are not: but the house of the righteous shall stand. |
| 8 | 人 必按 自己的智慧 被稱讚；心中 乖謬的，必 被藐視。 | A man shall be commended according to his wisdom: but he that is of a perverse heart shall be despised. |
| 9 | 被人輕賤，卻有 僕人，強 如自尊，缺少 食物。 | He that is despised, and hath a servant, is better than he that honoureth himself, and lacketh bread. |
| 10 | 義人 顧惜 他牲畜 的命；惡人 的憐憫 也是殘忍。 | A righteous man regardeth the life of his beast: but the tender mercies of the wicked are cruel. |
| 11 | 耕種 自己田地的，必得飽 食；追隨 虛浮的，卻是無 知。 | He that tilleth his land shall be satisfied with bread: but he that followeth vain persons is void of understanding. |
| 12 | 惡人 想 得壞人 的網羅；義人 的根 得以結實。 | The wicked desireth the net of evil men: but the root of the righteous yieldeth fruit. |
| 13 | 惡人 嘴中 的過錯 是自己的網羅；但義人 必脫離 患難。 | The wicked is snared by the transgression of his lips: but the just shall come out of trouble. |
| 14 | 人 因口 所結的果子，必飽得 美福；人 手 所做的，必為自己 的報應。 | A man shall be satisfied with good by the fruit of his mouth: and the recompence of a man’s hands shall be rendered unto him. |
| 15 | 愚妄人 所行的，在自己眼中 看為正直；惟智慧人 肯聽 人的勸教。 | The way of a fool is right in his own eyes: but he that hearkeneth unto counsel is wise. |
| 16 | 愚妄人 的惱怒 立時 顯露；通達人 能忍辱藏 羞。 | A fool’s wrath is presently known: but a prudent man covereth shame. |
| 17 | 說出 真話的，顯明 公義；作假 見證的，顯出詭詐。 | He that speaketh truth sheweth forth righteousness: but a false witness deceit. |
| 18 | 說話浮躁的，如刀 刺人；智慧人 的舌頭 卻為醫人的良藥。 | There is that speaketh like the piercings of a sword: but the tongue of the wise is health. |
| 19 | 口 吐真言，永遠 堅立；舌 說謊話，只存 片時。 | The lip of truth shall be established for ever: but a lying tongue is but for a moment. |
| 20 | 圖謀 惡事的，心存 詭詐；勸人 和睦的，便得喜樂。 | Deceit is in the heart of them that imagine evil: but to the counsellors of peace is joy. |
| 21 | 義人 不 遭 災害；惡人 滿受 禍患。 | There shall no evil happen to the just: but the wicked shall be filled with mischief. |
| 22 | 說謊言的 嘴 為耶和華 所憎惡；行事 誠實的，為他所喜悅。 | Lying lips are abomination to the Lord: but they that deal truly are his delight. |
| 23 | 通達 人 隱藏 知識；愚昧人 的心 彰顯 愚昧。 | A prudent man concealeth knowledge: but the heart of fools proclaimeth foolishness. |
| 24 | 殷勤人 的手 必掌權；懶惰 的人必 服苦。 | The hand of the diligent shall bear rule: but the slothful shall be under tribute. |
| 25 | 人 心 憂慮，屈而不伸；一句良 言，使心歡樂。 | Heaviness in the heart of man maketh it stoop: but a good word maketh it glad. |
| 26 | 義人 引導 他的鄰舍；惡人 的道 叫人失迷。 | The righteous is more excellent than his neighbour: but the way of the wicked seduceth them. |
| 27 | 懶惰的人 不 烤 打獵所得的；殷勤 的人 卻得寶貴 的財物。 | The slothful man roasteth not that which he took in hunting: but the substance of a diligent man is precious. |
| 28 | 在公義 的道 上有生命；其路 之中 並無 死亡。 | In the way of righteousness is life; and in the pathway thereof there is no death. |
