| 7 | 「耶和華─以色列的 神 如此 說：猶大 王 打發 你們 來 求問我，你們要如此 對他 說：『 那出來 幫助 你們 法老的 軍隊 必回 埃及 本國去。 | Thus saith the Lord, the God of Israel; Thus shall ye say to the king of Judah, that sent you unto me to enquire of me; Behold, Pharaoh’s army, which is come forth to help you, shall return to Egypt into their own land. |
| 8 | 迦勒底人 必再來 攻打 這 城，並要攻取，用火 焚燒。 | And the Chaldeans shall come again, and fight against this city, and take it, and burn it with fire. |
| 9 | 耶和華 如此 說：你們不要 自 欺 說「迦勒底人 必定 離開 我們」，因為 他們必不 離開。 | Thus saith the Lord; Deceive not yourselves, saying, The Chaldeans shall surely depart from us: for they shall not depart. |
| 10 | 你們即便 殺敗了 與你們 爭戰的 迦勒底 全 軍，但剩下 受傷的 人 也必各人 從帳棚裡 起來，用火 焚燒 這 城。』」 | For though ye had smitten the whole army of the Chaldeans that fight against you, and there remained but wounded men among them, yet should they rise up every man in his tent, and burn this city with fire. |

| 18 | 耶利米 又對 西底家 王 說：「我在甚麼事 上得罪 你，或你的臣僕，或這 百姓，你竟 將我 囚 在 監裡呢？ | Moreover Jeremiah said unto king Zedekiah, What have I offended against thee, or against thy servants, or against this people, that ye have put me in prison? |
| 19 | 對你們 預言 巴比倫 王 必不 來 攻擊你們 和 這 地 的先知，現今在哪裡呢？ | Where are now your prophets which prophesied unto you, saying, The king of Babylon shall not come against you, nor against this land? |
| 20 | 主─我的王啊，求 你現在 垂聽， 准 我在你面前 的懇求：不要 使我回到 文士 約拿單 的房屋中，免得 我死 在那裡。」 | Therefore hear now, I pray thee, O my lord the king: let my supplication, I pray thee, be accepted before thee; that thou cause me not to return to the house of Jonathan the scribe, lest I die there. |
| 21 | 於是，西底家 王 下令，他們就把 耶利米 交 在護衛兵 的院中，每天 從餅舖 街 取一個 餅 給 他，直到 城中的 餅 用盡了。這樣，耶利米 仍在 護衛兵 的院中。 | Then Zedekiah the king commanded that they should commit Jeremiah into the court of the prison, and that they should give him daily a piece of bread out of the bakers’ street, until all the bread in the city were spent. Thus Jeremiah remained in the court of the prison. |
