| 2 | 「你去 見 利甲 族的人，和他們 說話，領他們 進入 耶和華 殿 的一間 屋子，給他們 酒 喝。」 | Go unto the house of the Rechabites, and speak unto them, and bring them into the house of the Lord, into one of the chambers, and give them wine to drink. |
| 3 | 我就 將 哈巴洗尼雅 的孫子 雅利米雅 的兒子 雅撒尼亞 和 他弟兄，並 他眾 子，以及 利甲 全 族的人， | Then I took Jaazaniah the son of Jeremiah, the son of Habaziniah, and his brethren, and all his sons, and the whole house of the Rechabites; |

| 6 | 他們卻說：「我們不 喝 酒；因為 我們先祖 利甲 的兒子 約拿達 曾吩咐 我們 說：『你們 與你們的子孫 永 不可 喝 酒， | But they said, We will drink no wine: for Jonadab the son of Rechab our father commanded us, saying, Ye shall drink no wine, neither ye, nor your sons for ever: |
| 7 | 也不可 蓋 房、 撒 種、 栽種 葡萄園，但 一生的 年日 要住 帳棚，使 你們的日子 在 寄居 之地 得以延 長。』 | Neither shall ye build house, nor sow seed, nor plant vineyard, nor have any: but all your days ye shall dwell in tents; that ye may live many days in the land where ye be strangers. |
| 8 | 凡我們先祖 利甲 的兒子 約拿達 所 吩咐我們 的話，我們都 聽從了。我們 和我們的妻子 兒 女 一生的 年日 都不 喝 酒， | Thus have we obeyed the voice of Jonadab the son of Rechab our father in all that he hath charged us, to drink no wine all our days, we, our wives, our sons, nor our daughters; |
| 9 | 也不 蓋 房 居住，也沒 有 葡萄園、田地，和種子， | Nor to build houses for us to dwell in: neither have we vineyard, nor field, nor seed: |
| 10 | 但住 帳棚，聽從 我們先祖 約拿達的話，照 他所 吩咐我們 的去行。 | But we have dwelt in tents, and have obeyed, and done according to all that Jonadab our father commanded us. |
| 11 | 巴比倫 王 尼布甲尼撒 上 此地來，我們因 怕迦勒底 的軍隊 和 亞蘭 的軍隊，就說：『來吧，我們到耶路撒冷 去。』這樣，我們才住 在耶路撒冷。」 | But it came to pass, when Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon came up into the land, that we said, Come, and let us go to Jerusalem for fear of the army of the Chaldeans, and for fear of the army of the Syrians: so we dwell at Jerusalem. |

| 13 | 「萬軍 之耶和華─以色列的 神 如此 說：你去 對猶大 人 和耶路撒冷 的居民 說，耶和華 說：你們不 受 教訓，不聽從 我的話嗎？ | Thus saith the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel; Go and tell the men of Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem, Will ye not receive instruction to hearken to my words? saith the Lord. |
| 14 | 利甲 的兒子 約拿達 所 吩咐 他子孫 不可 喝 酒 的話，他們已經遵守，直到 今 日 也不 喝酒，因為 他們聽從 先祖 的吩咐。我 從早起來 警戒 你們，你們卻不 聽從 我。 | The words of Jonadab the son of Rechab, that he commanded his sons not to drink wine, are performed; for unto this day they drink none, but obey their father’s commandment: notwithstanding I have spoken unto you, rising early and speaking; but ye hearkened not unto me. |
| 15 | 我從早起來，差遣 我的僕人 眾 先知去，說：『你們各人 當 回頭，離開惡 道，改正 行為，不 隨 從 事奉 別 神，就必住 在 我所 賜 給你們 和你們列祖 的地上。』只是你們沒有 聽從 我，也沒有 側 耳而聽。 | I have sent also unto you all my servants the prophets, rising up early and sending them, saying, Return ye now every man from his evil way, and amend your doings, and go not after other gods to serve them, and ye shall dwell in the land which I have given to you and to your fathers: but ye have not inclined your ear, nor hearkened unto me. |

| 17 | 因此，耶和華─萬軍之 神、以色列的 神 如此 說：我要 使 我所 說 的一切 災禍 臨 到 猶大人 和 耶路撒冷 的一切 居民。因為 我對他們 說話，他們沒有 聽從；我呼喚 他們，他們沒有 答應。」 | Therefore thus saith the Lord God of hosts, the God of Israel; Behold, I will bring upon Judah and upon all the inhabitants of Jerusalem all the evil that I have pronounced against them: because I have spoken unto them, but they have not heard; and I have called unto them, but they have not answered. |
| 18 | 耶利米 對利甲 族 的人說：「萬軍 之耶和華─以色列的 神 如此 說：因 你們聽從 你們先祖 約拿達 的吩咐，謹守 他的一切 誡命，照 他所 吩咐 你們 的去行， | And Jeremiah said unto the house of the Rechabites, Thus saith the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel; Because ye have obeyed the commandment of Jonadab your father, and kept all his precepts, and done according unto all that he hath commanded you: |
| 19 | 所以 萬軍 之耶和華─以色列的 神 如此 說：利甲 的兒子 約拿達 必永 不 缺 人 侍立 在我面前。」 | Therefore thus saith the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel; Jonadab the son of Rechab shall not want a man to stand before me for ever. |
