| 2 | 「耶和華─以色列的 神 說，你去 告訴 猶大 王 西底家， 耶和華 如此 說：我要 將 這 城 交 付巴比倫 王 的手，他必用火 焚燒。 | Thus saith the Lord, the God of Israel; Go and speak to Zedekiah king of Judah, and tell him, Thus saith the Lord; Behold, I will give this city into the hand of the king of Babylon, and he shall burn it with fire: |

| 5 | 你必平安 而死，人必為你 焚燒物件，好像 為你列祖，就是 在 你以前 的先 王 焚燒一般。人必為你 舉哀說：『哀哉！我主啊。』耶和華 說：這 話 是我 說的。」 | But thou shalt die in peace: and with the burnings of thy fathers, the former kings which were before thee, so shall they burn odours for thee; and they will lament thee, saying, Ah lord! for I have pronounced the word, saith the Lord. |

| 7 | 那時，巴比倫 王 的軍隊 正攻打 耶路撒冷，又攻打 猶大 所剩下 的 城邑，就是 拉吉 和 亞西加。原來 猶大 的堅固 城 只剩下 這 兩座。 | When the king of Babylon’s army fought against Jerusalem, and against all the cities of Judah that were left, against Lachish, and against Azekah: for these defenced cities remained of the cities of Judah. |
| 8 | 西底家 王 與 耶路撒冷 的 眾 民 立 約，要向他們 宣告 自由，叫各人 任 他希伯來 的僕人 和 婢女 自由 出去，誰 也不可 使他的一個猶大 弟兄 作奴僕。（此後，有 耶和華 的 話 臨 到 耶利米。） | This is the word that came unto Jeremiah from the Lord, after that the king Zedekiah had made a covenant with all the people which were at Jerusalem, to proclaim liberty unto them; |
| 9 | a | That every man should let his manservant, and every man his maidservant, being an Hebrew or an Hebrewess, go free; that none should serve himself of them, to wit, of a Jew his brother. |

| 12 | 因此耶和華 的話 臨 到 耶利米 說： | Therefore the word of the Lord came to Jeremiah from the Lord, saying, |
| 13 | 「耶和華─以色列的 神 如此 說：我 將 你們的列祖 從埃及 地 為奴 之家 領出來 的時候，與 他們立 約 說： | Thus saith the Lord, the God of Israel; I made a covenant with your fathers in the day that I brought them forth out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondmen, saying, |
| 14 | 『 你的一個希伯來 弟兄 若 賣 給你，服事你 六 年，到 第七 年 你們各人 就要任他自由 出去。』只是你們列祖 不 聽從 我，也不 側 耳而聽。 | At the end of seven years let ye go every man his brother an Hebrew, which hath been sold unto thee; and when he hath served thee six years, thou shalt let him go free from thee: but your fathers hearkened not unto me, neither inclined their ear. |
| 15 | 如今 你們 回轉，行 我眼中 看為正的事，各人 向鄰舍 宣告 自由，並且在稱 為 我名 下的 殿中、在我面前 立 約。 | And ye were now turned, and had done right in my sight, in proclaiming liberty every man to his neighbour; and ye had made a covenant before me in the house which is called by my name: |
| 16 | 你們卻又反悔，褻瀆 我的名，各人 叫 所 任去 隨意 自由 的僕人 婢女 回來，勉強 他們 仍為 僕 婢。 | But ye turned and polluted my name, and caused every man his servant, and every man his handmaid, whom ye had set at liberty at their pleasure, to return, and brought them into subjection, to be unto you for servants and for handmaids. |
| 17 | 所以 耶和華 如此 說：你們 沒有 聽從 我，各人 向弟兄 鄰舍 宣告 自由。看哪！我 向你們 宣告 一樣自由，就是使你們自由於 刀劍、 饑荒、 瘟疫之下，並且使 你們 在天下 萬 國 中拋來拋去。這是耶和華 說的。 | Therefore thus saith the Lord; Ye have not hearkened unto me, in proclaiming liberty, every one to his brother, and every man to his neighbour: behold, I proclaim a liberty for you, saith the Lord, to the sword, to the pestilence, and to the famine; and I will make you to be removed into all the kingdoms of the earth. |

| 22 | 耶和華 說：我必 吩咐 他們回 到 這 城，攻打 這城，將城攻取，用火 焚燒。我也要使 猶大 的城邑 變為荒場，無人 居住。」 | Behold, I will command, saith the Lord, and cause them to return to this city; and they shall fight against it, and take it, and burn it with fire: and I will make the cities of Judah a desolation without an inhabitant. |
