| 2 | 他行 耶和華 眼中 看為惡的事，只是 不 像在 他以前 的 以色列 諸王。 | And he did that which was evil in the sight of the Lord, but not as the kings of Israel that were before him. |
| 3 | 亞述 王 撒縵以色 上來 攻擊何細亞，何細亞 就 服事 他，給他 進 貢。 | Against him came up Shalmaneser king of Assyria; and Hoshea became his servant, and gave him presents. |

| 11 | 在 邱壇 上燒香，效法耶和華 在他們面前 趕出 的 外邦人所行的，又行 惡 事 惹動 耶和華的怒氣； | And there they burnt incense in all the high places, as did the heathen whom the Lord carried away before them; and wrought wicked things to provoke the Lord to anger: |
| 12 | 且事奉 偶像，就是 耶和華 警戒 他們 不可 行的。 | For they served idols, whereof the Lord had said unto them, Ye shall not do this thing. |
| 13 | 但耶和華 藉 眾 先知、 先見 勸戒 以色列人 和猶大人 說：「當離開 你們的惡 行，謹守 我的誡命 律例，遵行我 吩咐 你們列祖，並藉 我僕人 眾先知 所 傳 給你們的 律法。」 | Yet the Lord testified against Israel, and against Judah, by all the prophets, and by all the seers, saying, Turn ye from your evil ways, and keep my commandments and my statutes, according to all the law which I commanded your fathers, and which I sent to you by my servants the prophets. |
| 14 | 他們卻不 聽從，竟硬著 頸項，效法 他們列祖， 不 信服 耶和華─他們的 神， | Notwithstanding they would not hear, but hardened their necks, like to the neck of their fathers, that did not believe in the Lord their God. |
| 15 | 厭棄 他的律例 和 他與 他們列祖 所 立 的約，並 勸戒 他們 的 話，隨 從 虛無的神，自己成為虛妄，效法 周圍 的 外邦人，就是 耶和華 囑咐 他們 不可 效法的； | And they rejected his statutes, and his covenant that he made with their fathers, and his testimonies which he testified against them; and they followed vanity, and became vain, and went after the heathen that were round about them, concerning whom the Lord had charged them, that they should not do like them. |
| 16 | 離棄 耶和華─他們 神 的一切 誡命，為自己 鑄了 兩個 牛犢 的像，立了 亞舍拉，敬拜 天上的 萬 象，事奉 巴力， | And they left all the commandments of the Lord their God, and made them molten images, even two calves, and made a grove, and worshipped all the host of heaven, and served Baal. |
| 17 | 又使 他們的兒 女 經 火，用 占卜，行法術 賣了自己，行 耶和華 眼 中看為惡的事，惹動他的怒氣。 | And they caused their sons and their daughters to pass through the fire, and used divination and enchantments, and sold themselves to do evil in the sight of the Lord, to provoke him to anger. |
| 18 | 所以耶和華 向以色列人 大大 發怒，從 自己面前 趕出他們，只 剩下 猶大 一個支派。 | Therefore the Lord was very angry with Israel, and removed them out of his sight: there was none left but the tribe of Judah only. |
| 19 | 猶大人 也 不 遵守 耶和華─他們 神 的誡命，隨從 以色列人 所 立 的條規。 | Also Judah kept not the commandments of the Lord their God, but walked in the statutes of Israel which they made. |
| 20 | 耶和華 就厭棄 以色列 全 族，使他們受苦，把他們交 在搶奪 他們的人手中，以致 趕出他們 離開自己面前， | And the Lord rejected all the seed of Israel, and afflicted them, and delivered them into the hand of spoilers, until he had cast them out of his sight. |
| 21 | 將以色列 國從 大衛 家 奪回；他們就立 尼八 的兒子 耶羅波安 作王。耶羅波安 引誘 以色列人 不隨從 耶和華，陷在 大 罪裡。 | For he rent Israel from the house of David; and they made Jeroboam the son of Nebat king: and Jeroboam drave Israel from following the Lord, and made them sin a great sin. |
| 22 | 以色列 人 犯 耶羅波安 所 犯 的一切 罪，總不 離開， | For the children of Israel walked in all the sins of Jeroboam which he did; they departed not from them; |
| 23 | 以致 耶和華 從 自己面前 趕出 他們，正如 藉 他僕人 眾 先知 所說的。這樣，以色列人 從 本地 被擄 到亞述，直到 今 日。 | Until the Lord removed Israel out of his sight, as he had said by all his servants the prophets. So was Israel carried away out of their own land to Assyria unto this day. |

| 25 | 他們才 住 那裡的時候，不 敬畏 耶和華，所以耶和華 叫 獅子 進入他們中間， 咬死了 些人。 | And so it was at the beginning of their dwelling there, that they feared not the Lord: therefore the Lord sent lions among them, which slew some of them. |
| 26 | 有人告訴 亞述 王 說：「你所 遷移 安置 在撒馬利亞 各城 的那些民，不 知道 那地 之神 的規矩，所以那神 叫 獅子 進入他們中間， 咬死 他們。」 | Wherefore they spake to the king of Assyria, saying, The nations which thou hast removed, and placed in the cities of Samaria, know not the manner of the God of the land: therefore he hath sent lions among them, and, behold, they slay them, because they know not the manner of the God of the land. |

| 28 | 於是 有一個 從撒馬利亞 擄去的 祭司 回來，住 在伯特利， 指教 他們 怎樣 敬畏 耶和華。 | Then one of the priests whom they had carried away from Samaria came and dwelt in Beth–el, and taught them how they should fear the Lord. |

| 31 | 亞瓦 人造 匿哈 和 他珥他像；西法瓦音 人用火 焚燒 兒女，獻給西法瓦音 的神 亞得米勒 和亞拿米勒。 | And the Avites made Nibhaz and Tartak, and the Sepharvites burnt their children in fire to Adrammelech and Anammelech, the gods of Sepharvaim. |
| 32 | 他們懼怕 耶和華，也從他們中間 立 邱壇 的祭司，為他們 在有邱壇 的殿中 獻祭。 | So they feared the Lord, and made unto themselves of the lowest of them priests of the high places, which sacrificed for them in the houses of the high places. |
| 33 | 他們又 懼怕 耶和華，又 事奉 自己的神，從何邦 遷移，就隨 何邦 的風俗。 | They feared the Lord, and served their own gods, after the manner of the nations whom they carried away from thence. |
| 34 | 他們 直到 如 今 仍照先前的 風俗 去行，不 專心敬畏 耶和華，不 全守 自己的規矩、典章，也不遵守耶和華 吩咐 雅各 後裔 的 律法、誡命。〈雅各，就是 從前耶和華起 名 叫以色列的。〉 | Unto this day they do after the former manners: they fear not the Lord, neither do they after their statutes, or after their ordinances, or after the law and commandment which the Lord commanded the children of Jacob, whom he named Israel; |
| 35 | 耶和華 曾與他們 立 約，囑咐他們 說：「不可 敬畏 別 神，不可 跪拜 事奉他，也不可 向他 獻祭。 | With whom the Lord had made a covenant, and charged them, saying, Ye shall not fear other gods, nor bow yourselves to them, nor serve them, nor sacrifice to them: |
| 36 | 但 那 用大 能 和伸出來的 膀臂 領你們 出 埃及 地 的耶和華，你們當敬畏，跪拜，向他 獻祭。 | But the Lord, who brought you up out of the land of Egypt with great power and a stretched out arm, him shall ye fear, and him shall ye worship, and to him shall ye do sacrifice. |
| 37 | 他給你們 寫 的 律例、 典章、律法、誡命，你們應當永遠 謹守 遵行，不可 敬畏 別 神。 | And the statutes, and the ordinances, and the law, and the commandment, which he wrote for you, ye shall observe to do for evermore; and ye shall not fear other gods. |
| 38 | 我─耶和華與你們 所 立的 約 你們不可 忘記，也不可 敬畏 別 神。 | And the covenant that I have made with you ye shall not forget; neither shall ye fear other gods. |
| 39 | 但 要敬畏 耶和華─你們的 神，他 必救 你們 脫離一切 仇敵的 手。」 | But the Lord your God ye shall fear; and he shall deliver you out of the hand of all your enemies. |
| 40 | 他們 卻不 聽從，仍 照先前的 風俗 去行。 | Howbeit they did not hearken, but they did after their former manner. |
| 41 | 如此這些 民 又 懼怕 耶和華，又 事奉 他們的偶像。他們子 子孫 孫 也都 照樣 行，效法 他們的祖宗，直到 今 日。 | So these nations feared the Lord, and served their graven images, both their children, and their children’s children: as did their fathers, so do they unto this day. |
