| 1 | 耶路撒冷 的居民 立 約蘭的小 兒子 亞哈謝 接續他 作王；因為 跟隨阿拉伯人 來 攻營 的軍兵 曾殺了 亞哈謝的眾 兄長。這樣，猶大 王 約蘭 的兒子 亞哈謝 作了王。 | And the inhabitants of Jerusalem made Ahaziah his youngest son king in his stead: for the band of men that came with the Arabians to the camp had slain all the eldest. So Ahaziah the son of Jehoram king of Judah reigned. |
| 2 | 亞哈謝 登基 的時候年 四十 二 歲（列王下八章二十六節是二十二歲），在耶路撒冷 作王 一 年。他母親 名叫 亞她利雅，是暗利 的孫女。 | Forty and two years old was Ahaziah when he began to reign, and he reigned one year in Jerusalem. His mother’s name also was Athaliah the daughter of Omri. |

So the house of Ahaziah had no power to keep still the kingdom. |

So Jehoshabeath, the daughter of king Jehoram, the wife of Jehoiada the priest, (for she was the sister of Ahaziah,) hid him from Athaliah, so that she slew him not. |
