| 2 | 非利士人 將 神 的約櫃 抬 進 大袞 廟，放 在大袞 的旁邊。 | When the Philistines took the ark of God, they brought it into the house of Dagon, and set it by Dagon. |
| 3 | 次日清早，亞實突人 起來，見 大袞 仆倒 在耶和華 的約櫃 前，臉 伏於地，就把 大袞 仍立 在原處。 | And when they of Ashdod arose early on the morrow, behold, Dagon was fallen upon his face to the earth before the ark of the Lord. And they took Dagon, and set him in his place again. |
| 4 | 又次日 清早 起來，見 大袞 仆倒 在耶和華 的約櫃 前，臉 伏於地，並且大袞 的頭 和兩 手 都在 門檻上 折斷，只 剩下 大袞的殘體。 | And when they arose early on the morrow morning, behold, Dagon was fallen upon his face to the ground before the ark of the Lord; and the head of Dagon and both the palms of his hands were cut off upon the threshold; only the stump of Dagon was left to him. |

And they answered, Let the ark of the God of Israel be carried about unto Gath. And they carried the ark of the God of Israel about thither. |
| 9 | 運到 之後， 耶和華 的手 攻擊 那城，使那城 的 人 大 大 驚慌，無論 大 小都 生 痔瘡。 | And it was so, that, after they had carried it about, the hand of the Lord was against the city with a very great destruction: and he smote the men of the city, both small and great, and they had emerods in their secret parts. |

And it came to pass, as the ark of God came to Ekron, that the Ekronites cried out, saying, They have brought about the ark of the God of Israel to us, to slay us and our people. |
| 11 | 於是打發人 去請 非利士 的眾 首領 來，說：「願你們將 以色列 神 的約櫃 送 回 原處，免得 害了 我們 和 我們的眾民！」原來 神 的手 重 重 攻擊那城， 城 中的人有 因驚慌 而死的； | So they sent and gathered together all the lords of the Philistines, and said, Send away the ark of the God of Israel, and let it go again to his own place, that it slay us not, and our people: for there was a deadly destruction throughout all the city; the hand of God was very heavy there. |
| 12 | 未 曾死 的人 都生了 痔瘡。合城 呼號，聲音上達 於天。 | And the men that died not were smitten with the emerods: and the cry of the city went up to heaven. |
