| 1 | 他們來 到 海 那邊 格拉森人 的地方。 | And they came over unto the other side of the sea, into the country of the Gadarenes. |
| 2 | 耶穌 一 下 船，就有一個被污 鬼 附著 的人 從墳塋 裡出來 迎著 他。 | And when he was come out of the ship, immediately there met him out of the tombs a man with an unclean spirit, |
| 3 | 那人 常 住 在 墳塋裡， 沒有人 能 捆住 他，就是用鐵鍊 也不能； | Who had his dwelling among the tombs; and no man could bind him, no, not with chains: |
| 4 | 因為 人屢次 用腳鐐 和 鐵鍊 捆鎖 他， 鐵鍊 竟被 他 掙斷了，腳鐐 也 被他弄碎了；總 沒有人 能 制伏 他。 | Because that he had been often bound with fetters and chains, and the chains had been plucked asunder by him, and the fetters broken in pieces: neither could any man tame him. |
| 5 | 他 晝 夜 常 在墳塋 裡 和 山 中 喊叫， 又用石頭 砍 自己。 | And always, night and day, he was in the mountains, and in the tombs, crying, and cutting himself with stones. |
| 6 | 他遠遠地 看見 耶穌，就跑過去 拜 他， | But when he saw Jesus afar off, he ran and worshipped him, |
| 7 | 大 聲 呼叫 說：「至高 神 的兒子 耶穌，我 與 你 有甚麼相干？我指著 神 懇求 你，不要 叫我 受苦！」 | And cried with a loud voice, and said, What have I to do with thee, Jesus, thou Son of the most high God? I adjure thee by God, that thou torment me not. |
| 8 | 是因 耶穌曾吩咐他 說：「污 鬼啊，從這人 身上出來吧！」 | For he said unto him, Come out of the man, thou unclean spirit. |
| 9 | 耶穌問 他說：「你 名 叫甚麼？」 回答 說：「我 名叫『群』，因為 我們 多的緣故」； | And he asked him, What is thy name? And he answered, saying, My name is Legion: for we are many. |
| 10 | 就 再三地 求 耶穌，不要 叫他們 離 開 那地方。 | And he besought him much that he would not send them away out of the country. |
| 11 | 在那裡 山坡上，有 一大 群 豬 吃食； | Now there was there nigh unto the mountains a great herd of swine feeding. |
| 12 | 鬼就 央求 耶穌 說：「求你打發 我們 往 豬群裡， 附 著 豬去。」 | And all the devils besought him, saying, Send us into the swine, that we may enter into them. |
| 13 | 耶穌准了 他們，污 鬼 就 出來，進 入 豬裡去。於是 那群 豬闖 下 山崖，投在 海裡， 淹死了。豬的數目約 有二千。 | And forthwith Jesus gave them leave. And the unclean spirits went out, and entered into the swine: and the herd ran violently down a steep place into the sea, (they were about two thousand;) and were choked in the sea. |
| 14 | 放 豬的就 逃跑了， 去 告訴 城 裡和 鄉下的人。眾人就 來，要看 是 甚麼 事。 | And they that fed the swine fled, and told it in the city, and in the country. And they went out to see what it was that was done. |
| 15 | 他們來 到 耶穌那裡， 看見 那被鬼附著的人，就是從前被群 鬼所附的，坐著，穿上衣服， 心裡明白過來，他們就 害怕。 | And they come to Jesus, and see him that was possessed with the devil, and had the legion, sitting, and clothed, and in his right mind: and they were afraid. |
| 16 | 看見這事的，便將鬼附之人 所 遇見的 和 那群豬 的事 都告訴了 眾人； | And they that saw it told them how it befell to him that was possessed with the devil, and also concerning the swine. |
| 17 | 眾人就 央求 耶穌 離 開 他們的 境界。 | And they began to pray him to depart out of their coasts. |
| 18 | 耶穌 上 船的時候，那從前被鬼附著的人 懇求 和耶穌 同 在。 | And when he was come into the ship, he that had been possessed with the devil prayed him that he might be with him. |
| 19 | 耶穌不 許，卻 對他 說：「你回 家 去，到 你的親屬那裡， 將主 為你 所做 的是何等大的事， 是怎樣憐憫 你，都告訴 他們。」 | Howbeit Jesus suffered him not, but saith unto him, Go home to thy friends, and tell them how great things the Lord hath done for thee, and hath had compassion on thee. |
| 20 | 那人就 走了， 在 低加坡里 傳揚 耶穌 為他 做了 何等大的事，眾人 就 都希奇。 | And he departed, and began to publish in Decapolis how great things Jesus had done for him: and all men did marvel. |
| 21 | 耶穌 坐 船 又 渡 到 那邊去，就有許多 人 到 他 那裡聚集； 他正在 海 邊上。 | And when Jesus was passed over again by ship unto the other side, much people gathered unto him: and he was nigh unto the sea. |
| 22 | 有一個 管會堂的人，名叫 睚魯，來 見 耶穌，就 俯伏 在 他 腳前， | And, behold, there cometh one of the rulers of the synagogue, Jairus by name; and when he saw him, he fell at his feet, |
| 23 | 再三地 求 他，說：「 我的 小女兒 快要死了，求你去 按 手 在她身上，使 她痊癒， 得以活了。」 | And besought him greatly, saying, My little daughter lieth at the point of death: I pray thee, come and lay thy hands on her, that she may be healed; and she shall live. |
| 24 | 耶穌就 和他 同 去。 有許多 人 跟隨 擁擠 他。 | And Jesus went with him; and much people followed him, and thronged him. |
| 25 | 有一個女人，患了 十二 年 的血 漏， | And a certain woman, which had an issue of blood twelve years, |
| 26 | 在 好些 醫生 手裡受了許多的 苦，又 花 盡了 她 所有的， 一點也不 見好，病勢反 倒 更 重了。 | And had suffered many things of many physicians, and had spent all that she had, and was nothing bettered, but rather grew worse, |
| 27 | 她聽見 耶穌的事，就從後頭 來，雜在 眾人中間，摸 耶穌的 衣裳， | When she had heard of Jesus, came in the press behind, and touched his garment. |
| 28 | 意思 說：「 我只 摸 他的 衣裳，就必痊癒。」 | For she said, If I may touch but his clothes, I shall be whole. |
| 29 | 於是 她 血漏 的源頭 立刻 乾了；她便 覺得 身上 的 災病 好了。 | And straightway the fountain of her blood was dried up; and she felt in her body that she was healed of that plague. |
| 30 | 耶穌 頓時 心裡 覺得 有能力 從 自己 身上出去，就在 眾人 中間轉過來，說：「誰 摸 我的 衣裳？」 | And Jesus, immediately knowing in himself that virtue had gone out of him, turned him about in the press, and said, Who touched my clothes? |
| 31 | 門徒 對他 說：「你看 眾人 擁擠 你，還 說『誰 摸 我』嗎？」 | And his disciples said unto him, Thou seest the multitude thronging thee, and sayest thou, Who touched me? |
| 32 | 耶穌周圍觀看，要見 做 這事的女人。 | And he looked round about to see her that had done this thing. |
| 33 | 那女人 知道 在自己 身上所成的事，就恐懼 戰兢，來 俯伏在耶穌 跟前， 將實情 全 告訴 他。 | But the woman fearing and trembling, knowing what was done in her, came and fell down before him, and told him all the truth. |
| 34 | 耶穌對她 說：「女兒，你的 信 救了 你， 平平安安 地回去吧！ 你的 災病 痊癒了。」 | And he said unto her, Daughter, thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace, and be whole of thy plague. |
| 35 | 還 說話的時候，有人從 管會堂的 家裡來，說：「 你的 女兒 死了，何必 還 勞動 先生呢？」 | While he yet spake, there came from the ruler of the synagogue’s house certain which said, Thy daughter is dead: why troublest thou the Master any further? |
| 36 | 耶穌 聽見 所說 的話，就對管會堂的 說：「不要 怕，只要 信！」 | As soon as Jesus heard the word that was spoken, he saith unto the ruler of the synagogue, Be not afraid, only believe. |
| 37 | 於是 帶著 彼得、 雅各、和 雅各 的兄弟 約翰同去，不 許 別人 跟隨 他。 | And he suffered no man to follow him, save Peter, and James, and John the brother of James. |
| 38 | 他們來 到 管會堂的 家裡； 耶穌看見 那裡亂嚷，並 有人大大地 哭泣 哀號， | And he cometh to the house of the ruler of the synagogue, and seeth the tumult, and them that wept and wailed greatly. |
| 39 | 進到裡面，就對他們 說：「為甚麼 亂嚷 哭泣呢？孩子 不是 死了，是 睡著了。」 | And when he was come in, he saith unto them, Why make ye this ado, and weep? the damsel is not dead, but sleepeth. |
| 40 | 他們就 嗤笑 耶穌。 耶穌 把他們都 攆出去，就帶著 孩子的 父 母 和 跟隨的人 進了 孩子 所在 的地方， | And they laughed him to scorn. But when he had put them all out, he taketh the father and the mother of the damsel, and them that were with him, and entereth in where the damsel was lying. |
| 41 | 就 拉著 孩子的 手，對她 說：「大利大，古米！」（翻出來 就是 說：「閨女，我吩咐 你 起來！」） | And he took the damsel by the hand, and said unto her, Talitha cumi; which is, being interpreted, Damsel, I say unto thee, arise. |
| 42 | 那閨女 立時 起來 走。他們就 大大地 驚奇； 閨女已經 十二 歲了。 | And straightway the damsel arose, and walked; for she was of the age of twelve years. And they were astonished with a great astonishment. |
| 43 | 耶穌切切地 囑咐 他們， 不要 叫人知道 這事，又 吩咐 給 她 東西吃。 | And he charged them straitly that no man should know it; and commanded that something should be given her to eat. |
