1 耶穌又 在 海邊 教訓人。 有許多人 到 他 那裡聚集，他 只得 上 船 坐下。船在 海裡， 眾人 都靠近 海，站在 岸 上。 And he began again to teach by the sea side: and there was gathered unto him a great multitude, so that he entered into a ship, and sat in the sea; and the whole multitude was by the sea on the land.
2 耶穌就用 比喻 教訓 他們 許多道理。 在 教訓之間，對他們 說： And he taught them many things by parables, and said unto them in his doctrine,
3 「你們聽啊！ 有一個撒種的 出去 撒種。 Hearken; Behold, there went out a sower to sow:
4 撒的時候，有 落 在路 旁的， 飛鳥 來 吃盡了； And it came to pass, as he sowed, some fell by the way side, and the fowls of the air came and devoured it up.
5 有 落 在 土淺 石頭地上的， 土 既 不 深，發苗 最快， And some fell on stony ground, where it had not much earth; and immediately it sprang up, because it had no depth of earth:
6 日頭 出來 一曬，因為 沒 有 根， 就枯乾了； But when the sun was up, it was scorched; and because it had no root, it withered away.
7 有 落 在荊棘 裡的， 荊棘 長起來， 把它 擠住了， 就不 結 實； And some fell among thorns, and the thorns grew up, and choked it, and it yielded no fruit.
8 又有 落 在 好 土裡的， 就發生長大，結 實 有 三十倍的， 有 六十倍的， 有 一百倍的」； And other fell on good ground, and did yield fruit that sprang up and increased; and brought forth, some thirty, and some sixty, and some an hundred.
9 又說：「 有 耳 可聽的，就應當聽！」 And he said unto them, He that hath ears to hear, let him hear.
10 無人 的時候， 跟隨 耶穌的人和 十二個 門徒問 他 這比喻的意思。 And when he was alone, they that were about him with the twelve asked of him the parable.
11 耶穌對他們 說：「 神 國的 奧祕 只叫 你們知道， 若是對外人講，凡事 就用 比喻， And he said unto them, Unto you it is given to know the mystery of the kingdom of God: but unto them that are without, all these things are done in parables:
12 叫他們看 是看見， 卻不 曉得； 聽 是聽見， 卻不 明白；恐怕 他們 回轉過來， 就得赦免。」 That seeing they may see, and not perceive; and hearing they may hear, and not understand; lest at any time they should be converted, and their sins should be forgiven them.
13 又 對他們 說：「你們不 明白 這 比喻嗎？ 這樣怎能 明白 一切的 比喻呢？ And he said unto them, Know ye not this parable? and how then will ye know all parables?
14 撒種之人 所撒 的就是道。 The sower soweth the word.
15 那 撒 在路 旁 的，就是人聽了 道， 撒但 立刻 來， 把撒 在 他 心裡的道 奪了去。 And these are they by the way side, where the word is sown; but when they have heard, Satan cometh immediately, and taketh away the word that was sown in their hearts.
16 那 撒在 石頭地上 的， 就是人 聽了 道，立刻 歡喜 領受， And these are they likewise which are sown on stony ground; who, when they have heard the word, immediately receive it with gladness;
17 但 他心裡 沒 有 根，不過 是 暫時的，及至 為 道 遭了 患難，或是 受了逼迫，立刻就 跌倒了。 And have no root in themselves, and so endure but for a time: afterward, when affliction or persecution ariseth for the word’s sake, immediately they are offended.
18 還有 那 撒在 荊棘裡的，就是 人 聽 了道， And these are they which are sown among thorns; such as hear the word,
19 後來 有世上的 思慮、 錢財的 迷惑，和 別樣的 私慾 進來，把道 擠住了，就 不能結實。 And the cares of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, and the lusts of other things entering in, choke the word, and it becometh unfruitful.
20 那 撒 在好 地 上的，就是 人聽 道，又 領受，並且 結實，有 三十倍的， 有 六十倍的， 有 一百倍的。」 And these are they which are sown on good ground; such as hear the word, and receive it, and bring forth fruit, some thirtyfold, some sixty, and some an hundred.
21 耶穌又 對他們 說：「人拿 燈來， 豈是 要放在 斗 底下， 床 底下，不 放 在 燈臺上嗎？ And he said unto them, Is a candle brought to be put under a bushel, or under a bed? and not to be set on a candlestick?
22 因為 掩藏的事， 沒有不顯出來的； 隱瞞的事，沒有 不露出來的。 For there is nothing hid, which shall not be manifested; neither was any thing kept secret, but that it should come abroad.
23 有 耳 可聽的，就應當聽！」 If any man have ears to hear, let him hear.
24 又 說：「你們所聽 的 要留心。你們用 甚麼 量器 量給人，也必用甚麼量器量 給你們，並且 要多給 你們。 And he said unto them, Take heed what ye hear: with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you: and unto you that hear shall more be given.
25 因為 有的，還要給 他； 沒 有的， 連他所有的 也要奪去。」 For he that hath, to him shall be given: and he that hath not, from him shall be taken even that which he hath.
26 又 說：「 神的 國 如同 人 把種 撒 在地 上。 And he said, So is the kingdom of God, as if a man should cast seed into the ground;
27 黑夜 睡覺， 白日 起來， 這種 就發芽 漸長，那人 卻不 曉得 如何這樣。 And should sleep, and rise night and day, and the seed should spring and grow up, he knoweth not how.
28 地 生五穀 是出於自然的：先 發苗，後 長穗，再後 穗 上 結成飽滿的 子粒； For the earth bringeth forth fruit of herself; first the blade, then the ear, after that the full corn in the ear.
29 穀 既熟了，就 用鐮刀 去割，因為 收成 的時候到了。」 But when the fruit is brought forth, immediately he putteth in the sickle, because the harvest is come.
30 又 說：「 神的 國，我們可用甚麼 比較呢？ 可用 甚麼 比喻 表明呢？ And he said, Whereunto shall we liken the kingdom of God? or with what comparison shall we compare it?
31 好像 一粒芥菜 種， 種 在地 裡的時候，雖比 地 上 的百 種 都小， It is like a grain of mustard seed, which, when it is sown in the earth, is less than all the seeds that be in the earth:
32 但 種上以後，就長起來， 比各樣的 菜 都大，又 長出 大 枝來，甚至 天上的 飛鳥 可以 宿 在它的 蔭 下。」 But when it is sown, it groweth up, and becometh greater than all herbs, and shooteth out great branches; so that the fowls of the air may lodge under the shadow of it.
33 耶穌用許多 這樣的 比喻，照 他們所能 聽的，對他們 講 道。 And with many such parables spake he the word unto them, as they were able to hear it.
34 若 不用 比喻，就不 對他們講； 沒有人的時候，就把一切的 道講 給 門徒聽。 But without a parable spake he not unto them: and when they were alone, he expounded all things to his disciples.
35 當 那 天 晚上，耶穌對門徒 說：「我們渡到 那邊去吧。」 And the same day, when the even was come, he saith unto them, Let us pass over unto the other side.
36 門徒離開 眾人， 耶穌仍在 船 上，他們就把他 一同帶去；也 有 別的 船 和 他同行。 And when they had sent away the multitude, they took him even as he was in the ship. And there were also with him other little ships.
37 忽然起了 暴 風， 波浪 打 入 船內，甚至 船 要 滿了水。 And there arose a great storm of wind, and the waves beat into the ship, so that it was now full.
38 耶穌 在 船尾上，枕著 枕頭 睡覺。 門徒叫醒了 他， 說：「夫子！ 我們喪命，你 不 顧嗎？」 And he was in the hinder part of the ship, asleep on a pillow: and they awake him, and say unto him, Master, carest thou not that we perish?
39 耶穌醒了，斥責 風， 向海 說：「住了吧！靜了吧！」 風 就止住， 大大地 平靜了。 And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm.
40 耶穌對他們 說：「為甚麼 膽怯？你們還沒 有 信心嗎？」 And he said unto them, Why are ye so fearful? how is it that ye have no faith?
41 他們就 大大地 懼 怕， 彼此 說：「這 到底 是 誰，連 風 和 海 也聽從 他了。」 And they feared exceedingly, and said one to another, What manner of man is this, that even the wind and the sea obey him?
