1 七日 的頭一日，黎明的時候，那些婦女帶著 所預備 的香料 來 到 墳墓前， Now upon the first day of the week, very early in the morning, they came unto the sepulchre, bringing the spices which they had prepared, and certain others with them.
2 看見 石頭 已經從 墳墓 滾開了， And they found the stone rolled away from the sepulchre.
3 她們就 進去，只是不 見 主 耶穌 的身體。 And they entered in, and found not the body of the Lord Jesus.
4 正在 猜疑之間， 忽然有兩個 人 站在旁邊， 衣服 放光。 And it came to pass, as they were much perplexed thereabout, behold, two men stood by them in shining garments:
5 婦女 們 驚怕， 將臉 伏 地。那兩個人就對 她們 說：「為甚麼 在 死人 中找 活人呢？ And as they were afraid, and bowed down their faces to the earth, they said unto them, Why seek ye the living among the dead?
6 他不 在 這裡， 已經復活了。當記念 他還 在 加利利 的時候怎樣 告訴 你們， He is not here, but is risen: remember how he spake unto you when he was yet in Galilee,
7 說：『 人 子 必須 被交 在 罪 人 手裡， 釘在十字架上， 第三 日 復活。』」 Saying, The Son of man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and the third day rise again.
8 她們就 想起 耶穌 的話來， And they remembered his words,
9 便 從 墳墓 那裡回去，把這 一切的 事告訴 十一個 使徒和 其餘的人。 And returned from the sepulchre, and told all these things unto the eleven, and to all the rest.
10 那告訴 使徒 的就是 抹大拉 的馬利亞 和 約亞拿，並 雅各 的母親馬利亞，還有 與 她們 在一處的婦女。 It was Mary Magdalene, and Joanna, and Mary the mother of James, and other women that were with them, which told these things unto the apostles.
11 她們這些 話， 使徒 以為 是 胡言，就 不相信。 And their words seemed to them as idle tales, and they believed them not.
12 彼得 起來，跑 到 墳墓前， 低頭 往裡看，見細麻布 獨在一處，就 回去了， 心 裡希奇 所成的事。 Then arose Peter, and ran unto the sepulchre; and stooping down, he beheld the linen clothes laid by themselves, and departed, wondering in himself at that which was come to pass.
13 正當 那 日，門徒 中 有兩個 人 往 一個村子 去；這村子名叫 以馬忤斯，離 耶路撒冷 約有 二十五里。 And, behold, two of them went that same day to a village called Emmaus, which was from Jerusalem about threescore furlongs.
14 他們 彼此 談論 所遇見 的這一切事。 And they talked together of all these things which had happened.
15 正 談論 相問 的時候， 耶穌 親自 就近他們，和他們 同行； And it came to pass, that, while they communed together and reasoned, Jesus himself drew near, and went with them.
16 只是 他們 的眼睛 迷糊了，不 認識 他。 But their eyes were holden that they should not know him.
17 耶穌對 他們 說：「你們走路 彼此 談論 的 是甚麼事呢？」他們就站住， 臉上帶著愁容。 And he said unto them, What manner of communications are these that ye have one to another, as ye walk, and are sad?
18 二人中有一個 名叫 革流巴 的回答 說：「你 在耶路撒冷 作客，還 不 知道 這幾 天 在 那裡 所出的事嗎？」 And the one of them, whose name was Cleopas, answering said unto him, Art thou only a stranger in Jerusalem, and hast not known the things which are come to pass there in these days?
19 耶穌 說：「甚麼事呢？」 他們 說：「就是 拿撒勒人 耶穌的事。 他 是 個先知，在 神 和 眾 百姓面前， 說話 行事 都有大能。 And he said unto them, What things? And they said unto him, Concerning Jesus of Nazareth, which was a prophet mighty in deed and word before God and all the people:
20 祭司長 和 我們的 官府 竟把他 解去， 定了 死罪， 釘在十字架上。 And how the chief priests and our rulers delivered him to be condemned to death, and have crucified him.
21 但 我們 素來所盼望、 要 贖 以色列 民的就是 他！不但 如此，而且 這事 成就， 現在已經 三 天了。 But we trusted that it had been he which should have redeemed Israel: and beside all this, to day is the third day since these things were done.
22 再者，我們 中間 有幾個 婦女 使我們 驚奇；她們清早 到了 墳墓那裡， Yea, and certain women also of our company made us astonished, which were early at the sepulchre;
23 不 見 他 的身體，就回來 告訴我們， 說看見了 天使 顯現， 說 他 活了。 And when they found not his body, they came, saying, that they had also seen a vision of angels, which said that he was alive.
24 又有 我們 的幾個人 往 墳墓 那裡去， 所 遇見 的 正如 婦女 們所說的，只是 沒有 看見 他。」 And certain of them which were with us went to the sepulchre, and found it even so as the women had said: but him they saw not.
25 耶穌 對 他們 說：「 無知的人哪， 先知 所說 的一切話，你們的心 信 得太遲鈍了。 Then he said unto them, O fools, and slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have spoken:
26 基督 這樣 受害，又 進 入 他 的榮耀，豈不是 應當的嗎？」 Ought not Christ to have suffered these things, and to enter into his glory?
27 於是 從 摩西 和 眾 先知 起，凡 經 上 所指著 自己 的話都給他們 講解明白了。 And beginning at Moses and all the prophets, he expounded unto them in all the scriptures the things concerning himself.
28 將近 他們所去 的村子， 耶穌 好像 還要往前 行， And they drew nigh unto the village, whither they went: and he made as though he would have gone further.
29 他們卻 強留 他，說：「 時候 晚了， 日頭 已經 平西了，請你同 我們 住下吧！」 耶穌就進去，要同 他們 住下。 But they constrained him, saying, Abide with us: for it is toward evening, and the day is far spent. And he went in to tarry with them.
30 到了 坐席的時候，耶穌拿起 餅來，祝謝了， 擘開，遞 給他們。 And it came to pass, as he sat at meat with them, he took bread, and blessed it, and brake, and gave to them.
31 他們的 眼睛 明亮了，這才 認出 他來。 忽然耶穌 不見了。 And their eyes were opened, and they knew him; and he vanished out of their sight.
32 他們 彼此 說：「在 路上， 他和我們 說話， 給我們 講解 聖經的時候，我們的 心 豈不 是 火熱 的嗎？」 And they said one to another, Did not our heart burn within us, while he talked with us by the way, and while he opened to us the scriptures?
33 他們就 立時 起身，回 耶路撒冷去， 正遇見 十一個 使徒和 他們 的同人聚集在一處， And they rose up the same hour, and returned to Jerusalem, and found the eleven gathered together, and them that were with them,
34 說：「 主 果然 復活， 已經現給西門 看了。」 Saying, The Lord is risen indeed, and hath appeared to Simon.
35 兩個人就 把 路上所遇見，和 擘 餅 的時候怎麼 被他們 認出來的事，都述說了一遍。 And they told what things were done in the way, and how he was known of them in breaking of bread.
36 正說 這話的時候，耶穌親自 站 在 他們 當中， 說：「願你們 平安！」 And as they thus spake, Jesus himself stood in the midst of them, and saith unto them, Peace be unto you.
37 他們卻 驚慌 害怕，以為 所看見 的是魂。 But they were terrified and affrighted, and supposed that they had seen a spirit.
38 耶穌 說：「你們 為甚麼 愁煩？ 為甚麼 心 裡起 疑念呢？ And he said unto them, Why are ye troubled? and why do thoughts arise in your hearts?
39 你們看 我的 手， 我的 腳， 就知道實在是 我了。摸 我 看看！ 魂 無 骨 無肉， 你們看，我 是有的。」 Behold my hands and my feet, that it is I myself: handle me, and see; for a spirit hath not flesh and bones, as ye see me have.
40 說了 這話，就把手 和 腳 給他們 看。 And when he had thus spoken, he shewed them his hands and his feet.
41 他們 正 喜 得不敢信，並且 希奇；耶穌 就說：「你們這裡 有 甚麼 吃的沒有？」 And while they yet believed not for joy, and wondered, he said unto them, Have ye here any meat?
42 他們便 給 他 一片 燒 魚。（有古卷加：和一塊蜜房。） And they gave him a piece of a broiled fish, and of an honeycomb.
43 他接過來，在他們 面前 吃了。 And he took it, and did eat before them.
44 耶穌對 他們 說：「這 就是 我 從前 與 你們 同在 之時所告訴 你們 的話說： 摩西 的律法、 先知的書，和 詩篇 上所記的，凡 指著 我 的話都必須 應驗。」 And he said unto them, These are the words which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the psalms, concerning me.
45 於是 耶穌開 他們 的心竅，使他們能明白 聖經， Then opened he their understanding, that they might understand the scriptures,
46 又 對他們 說：「 照經上 所寫的，基督 必受害， 第三 日 從 死 裡復活， And said unto them, Thus it is written, and thus it behoved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day:
47 並且 人要奉 他 的名 傳 悔改、 赦 罪的道，從 耶路撒冷 起 直傳到 萬 邦。 And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.
48 你們 就是這些事 的見證。 And ye are witnesses of these things.
49 我 要將我 父 所應許 的降 在 你們身上， 你們 要在 城 裡等候，直到 你們領受 從 上頭 來的能力。」 And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high.
50 耶穌領 他們 到 伯大尼的對面，就 舉 手 給他們 祝福。 And he led them out as far as to Bethany, and he lifted up his hands, and blessed them.
51 正 祝福的時候，他 就離開 他們， 被帶 到 天上去了。 And it came to pass, while he blessed them, he was parted from them, and carried up into heaven.
52 他們 就 拜 他， 大大地 歡喜，回 耶路撒冷去， And they worshipped him, and returned to Jerusalem with great joy:
53 常 在 殿 裡稱頌 神。 And were continually in the temple, praising and blessing God. Amen.
