| 1 | 論到 供給 聖徒 的事，我 不必 寫信 給你們； | For as touching the ministering to the saints, it is superfluous for me to write to you: |
| 2 | 因為 我知道 你們 樂意的心， 常對馬其頓人 誇獎 你們，說 亞該亞人 預備好了，已經 有一年了；並且 你們的 熱心 激動 了許多人。 | For I know the forwardness of your mind, for which I boast of you to them of Macedonia, that Achaia was ready a year ago; and your zeal hath provoked very many. |
| 3 | 但 我打發 那幾位弟兄去，要叫 你們照 我的話 預備妥當，免得 我們 在 這 事 上誇獎 你們 的話落了空。 | Yet have I sent the brethren, lest our boasting of you should be in vain in this behalf; that, as I said, ye may be ready: |
| 4 | 萬一 有馬其頓人 與 我 同去， 見 你們 沒有預備，就叫我們 所 確信的，反成了羞愧；你們羞愧，更不用 說了。 | Lest haply if they of Macedonia come with me, and find you unprepared, we (that we say not, ye) should be ashamed in this same confident boasting. |
| 5 | 因此，我想 不得不 求 那幾位弟兄 先到 你們那裡去， 把從前所應許 的捐貲 預備 妥當，就 顯出你們 所捐的 是出於 樂意， 不是 出於 勉強。 | Therefore I thought it necessary to exhort the brethren, that they would go before unto you, and make up beforehand your bounty, whereof ye had notice before, that the same might be ready, as a matter of bounty, and not as of covetousness. |
| 6 | 「 少 種的 少 收， 多 種 的 多 收」，這話是真的。 | But this I say, He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully. |
| 7 | 各人 要隨 本心 所酌定的，不要 作難，不要 勉強，因為 捐 得樂意的人是 神 所喜愛的。 | Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver. |
| 8 | 神 能 將各樣的 恩惠 多多地 加給 你們，使 你們 凡事 常常 充足，能多 行 各樣 善 事。 | And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work: |
| 9 | 如 經上所記：他施捨錢財，賙濟 貧窮；他的 仁義 存 到 永遠。 | (As it is written, He hath dispersed abroad; he hath given to the poor: his righteousness remaineth for ever. |
| 10 | 那賜 種 給撒種的， 賜糧 給 人吃的，必 多多加 給 你們 種地的種子，又 增添 你們 仁義 的果子； | Now he that ministereth seed to the sower both minister bread for your food, and multiply your seed sown, and increase the fruits of your righteousness;) |
| 11 | 叫你們凡事 富足，可以 多多 施捨，就 藉著 我們 使感謝 歸於 神。 | Being enriched in every thing to all bountifulness, which causeth through us thanksgiving to God. |
| 12 | 因為 辦這 供給 的事，不但 補 聖徒 的缺乏，而且 叫 許多人 越發 感謝 神。 | For the administration of this service not only supplieth the want of the saints, but is abundant also by many thanksgivings unto God; |
| 13 | 他們從 這 供給的事 上得了憑據，知道 你們 承認 基督 順服 他的福音， 多多地 捐錢 給 他們 和 眾人，便將榮耀歸與 神。 | Whiles by the experiment of this ministration they glorify God for your professed subjection unto the gospel of Christ, and for your liberal distribution unto them, and unto all men; |
| 14 | 他們 也 因 神 極大的 恩賜 顯在 你們心裡，就切切地想念 你們，為 你們 祈禱。 | And by their prayer for you, which long after you for the exceeding grace of God in you. |
| 15 | 感謝 神，因 他 有說不盡的 恩賜！ | Thanks be unto God for his unspeakable gift. |
