| 1 | 以色列歟、毋欣喜歡樂如列邦、蓋爾狥欲而離上帝、在各禾場、好人投贈、 | Rejoice not, O Israel, for joy, as other people: for thou hast gone a whoring from thy God, thou hast loved a reward upon every cornfloor. |
| 2 | 禾場與酒醡、不足以養之、新酒亦將缺乏、 | The floor and the winepress shall not feed them, and the new wine shall fail in her. |
| 3 | 彼不得居耶和華之地、以法蓮必返於埃及、食穢物於亞述、 | They shall not dwell in the Lord’s land; but Ephraim shall return to Egypt, and they shall eat unclean things in Assyria. |
| 4 | 不得奠酒於耶和華、其祭品不蒙悅納、乃如居喪者所食、凡食者必被汚、爲己充飢而已、不得入於耶和華室、 | They shall not offer wine offerings to the Lord, neither shall they be pleasing unto him: their sacrifices shall be unto them as the bread of mourners; all that eat thereof shall be polluted: for their bread for their soul shall not come into the house of the Lord. |

| 6 | 彼衆逃避滅亡、埃及將殮之、摩弗將瘞之、其嘉美之銀器、將爲蒺藜所據、其帳幕中荊棘叢生、 | For, lo, they are gone because of destruction: Egypt shall gather them up, Memphis shall bury them: the pleasant places for their silver, nettles shall possess them: thorns shall be in their tabernacles. |
| 7 | 懲罰之日旣至、報施之日已來、以色列必知之、先知愚妄、感於靈者顚狂、因爾多罪、怨恨特甚、 | The days of visitation are come, the days of recompence are come; Israel shall know it: the prophet is a fool, the spiritual man is mad, for the multitude of thine iniquity, and the great hatred. |
| 8 | 以法蓮之守望、上帝所立、而爲先知、罹網羅於諸途、見怨於上帝家、 | The watchman of Ephraim was with my God: but the prophet is a snare of a fowler in all his ways, and hatred in the house of his God. |
| 9 | 斯民深陷邪惡、如在基比亞時、上帝必憶其愆、而罰其罪、○ | They have deeply corrupted themselves, as in the days of Gibeah: therefore he will remember their iniquity, he will visit their sins. |
| 10 | 我遇以色列、若遇葡萄於曠野、見爾列祖、如見無花果樹初熟之果、然彼就巴力毘珥、自奉於可恥之物、成爲可憎、如其所愛者然、 | I found Israel like grapes in the wilderness; I saw your fathers as the firstripe in the fig tree at her first time: but they went to Baal–peor, and separated themselves unto that shame; and their abominations were according as they loved. |
| 11 | 以法蓮之榮光將去、若鳥之飛、不產不胎、不懷孕、 | As for Ephraim, their glory shall fly away like a bird, from the birth, and from the womb, and from the conception. |
| 12 | 卽或育子、我必喪之、靡有孑遺、我棄之之時、斯民禍哉、 | Though they bring up their children, yet will I bereave them, that there shall not be a man left: yea, woe also to them when I depart from them! |
| 13 | 以法蓮植於美地、依我觀之、如推羅然、惟以法蓮必攜其子、出就行戮者焉、 | Ephraim, as I saw Tyrus, is planted in a pleasant place: but Ephraim shall bring forth his children to the murderer. |
| 14 | 耶和華歟、尚其賜之、將何以賜之、賜以胎墮乳乾也、 | Give them, O Lord: what wilt thou give? give them a miscarrying womb and dry breasts. |
| 15 | 彼之惡事、俱在吉甲、在彼我始憾之、緣其惡行、我必逐之於我家、不復愛之、其牧伯皆悖逆者也、 | All their wickedness is in Gilgal: for there I hated them: for the wickedness of their doings I will drive them out of mine house, I will love them no more: all their princes are revolters. |
| 16 | 以法蓮被擊、其根已槁、不復結實、縱使生產、其所出之愛子、我將誅戮、 | Ephraim is smitten, their root is dried up, they shall bear no fruit: yea, though they bring forth, yet will I slay even the beloved fruit of their womb. |
| 17 | 因其不聽命、我上帝必棄之、俾其流離於列邦、 | My God will cast them away, because they did not hearken unto him: and they shall be wanderers among the nations. |
