| 1 | 爾口吹角、敵至若鷹、攻耶和華之家、因民爽我約、干我律、 | Set the trumpet to thy mouth. He shall come as an eagle against the house of the Lord, because they have transgressed my covenant, and trespassed against my law. |
| 2 | 彼將呼籲我曰、我上帝歟、吾以色列識爾、 | Israel shall cry unto me, My God, we know thee. |
| 3 | 以色列委棄諸善、敵將追襲之、 | Israel hath cast off the thing that is good: the enemy shall pursue him. |
| 4 | 彼立君王、非由於我、彼立牧伯、我不知之、以其金銀造像、必致殄滅、 | They have set up kings, but not by me: they have made princes, and I knew it not: of their silver and their gold have they made them idols, that they may be cut off. |
| 5 | 撒瑪利亞歟、爾犢見棄、我向斯民震怒、彼至何時、方得無罪、 | Thy calf, O Samaria, hath cast thee off; mine anger is kindled against them: how long will it be ere they attain to innocency? |
| 6 | 斯犢出於以色列、工匠所造、非上帝也、撒瑪利亞之犢、必見破碎、 | For from Israel was it also: the workman made it; therefore it is not God: but the calf of Samaria shall be broken in pieces. |
| 7 | 彼衆所播者風、所穫者颶風、無有禾稼、其莖不實、卽實、亦爲外人所吞、 | For they have sown the wind, and they shall reap the whirlwind: it hath no stalk: the bud shall yield no meal: if so be it yield, the strangers shall swallow it up. |
| 8 | 以色列旣見吞、在列國中、如人不悅之器、 | Israel is swallowed up: now shall they be among the Gentiles as a vessel wherein is no pleasure. |
| 9 | 彼往亞述、如獨行之野驢、以法蓮以賄求愛、 | For they are gone up to Assyria, a wild ass alone by himself: Ephraim hath hired lovers. |
| 10 | 雖行賄於列邦、我必阻之、俾其暫止膏立君王牧伯、 | Yea, though they have hired among the nations, now will I gather them, and they shall sorrow a little for the burden of the king of princes. |
| 11 | 以法蓮增築祭壇而干罪、其壇陷之於罪、 | Because Ephraim hath made many altars to sin, altars shall be unto him to sin. |
| 12 | 我爲彼書律萬言、彼視爲與己無涉、 | I have written to him the great things of my law, but they were counted as a strange thing. |
| 13 | 至於獻我祭品、彼獻肉而食之、惟耶和華不納之、必憶其愆、而罰其罪、彼必返於埃及、 | They sacrifice flesh for the sacrifices of mine offerings, and eat it; but the Lord accepteth them not; now will he remember their iniquity, and visit their sins: they shall return to Egypt. |
| 14 | 以色列忘乎造之者、自建第宅、猶大增築堅城、我將降火於其城邑、燬其第宅、 | For Israel hath forgotten his Maker, and buildeth temples; and Judah hath multiplied fenced cities: but I will send a fire upon his cities, and it shall devour the palaces thereof. |
