| 1 | 我欲醫以色列時、以法蓮之罪、撒瑪利亞之惡顯著、彼詐僞是行、盜賊入於內羣寇刦於外、 | When I would have healed Israel, then the iniquity of Ephraim was discovered, and the wickedness of Samaria: for they commit falsehood; and the thief cometh in, and the troop of robbers spoileth without. |
| 2 | 我念諸惡、而彼中心不思、今其所爲、繞乎其身、在於我前、 | And they consider not in their hearts that I remember all their wickedness: now their own doings have beset them about; they are before my face. |
| 3 | 以惡行悅君王、以誑言悅牧伯、 | They make the king glad with their wickedness, and the princes with their lies. |
| 4 | 彼衆行淫、如烘餅者所爇之爐、自摶麪至發酵、暫止撥火、 | They are all adulterers, as an oven heated by the baker, who ceaseth from raising after he hath kneaded the dough, until it be leavened. |
| 5 | 我王之大日、牧伯因酒之熱而致疾、王與侮慢者握手、 | In the day of our king the princes have made him sick with bottles of wine; he stretched out his hand with scorners. |
| 6 | 彼衆潛伏、心熱如爐、其烘餅者、竟夕睡臥、至於清晨、厥火炎炎、 | For they have made ready their heart like an oven, whiles they lie in wait: their baker sleepeth all the night; in the morning it burneth as a flaming fire. |
| 7 | 衆熱如爐、滅其士師、君王傾覆、其中無人籲我、 | They are all hot as an oven, and have devoured their judges; all their kings are fallen: there is none among them that calleth unto me. |
| 8 | 以法蓮雜於列邦、乃爲未翻之餅、 | Ephraim, he hath mixed himself among the people; Ephraim is a cake not turned. |
| 9 | 外人食其力、而彼不知、首髮頒白、而彼不覺、 | Strangers have devoured his strength, and he knoweth it not: yea, gray hairs are here and there upon him, yet he knoweth not. |
| 10 | 以色列所誇者、覿面懲之、彼雖遭此、不歸其上帝耶和華、不尋求之、 | And the pride of Israel testifieth to his face: and they do not return to the Lord their God, nor seek him for all this. |
| 11 | 以法蓮無知如蠢鳩、呼埃及、就亞述、 | Ephraim also is like a silly dove without heart: they call to Egypt, they go to Assyria. |
| 12 | 彼往時、我必張網其上、若墜飛鳥、必依其會衆所聞而責之、 | When they shall go, I will spread my net upon them; I will bring them down as the fowls of the heaven; I will chastise them, as their congregation hath heard. |
| 13 | 禍哉彼衆、因其離棄我、將見毀滅、因其悖逆我、我欲救贖之、彼乃言誑以謗我、 | Woe unto them! for they have fled from me: destruction unto them! because they have transgressed against me: though I have redeemed them, yet they have spoken lies against me. |
| 14 | 其心不籲我、惟在牀呼號、因穀酒之故、自傷以逆我、 | And they have not cried unto me with their heart, when they howled upon their beds: they assemble themselves for corn and wine, and they rebel against me. |
| 15 | 我雖練其臂而堅之、彼尚謀惡以抗我、 | Though I have bound and strengthened their arms, yet do they imagine mischief against me. |
| 16 | 彼雖回轉、然不向上、有若偏反之弓、其牧伯口出狂言、必仆於刃、在埃及地爲人姍笑、 | They return, but not to the most High: they are like a deceitful bow: their princes shall fall by the sword for the rage of their tongue: this shall be their derision in the land of Egypt. |
