| 1 | 其來、我儕歸耶和華、彼旣裂我、亦必醫我、彼旣擊我、亦必裹我、 | Come, and let us return unto the Lord: for he hath torn, and he will heal us; he hath smitten, and he will bind us up. |
| 2 | 越二日、將蘇我、至三日、將起我、生於其前、 | After two days will he revive us: in the third day he will raise us up, and we shall live in his sight. |
| 3 | 我儕當識耶和華、黽勉而識之、其見也、若晨光之準、其臨也、若甘雨、若潤土之春雨、○ | Then shall we know, if we follow on to know the Lord: his going forth is prepared as the morning; and he shall come unto us as the rain, as the latter and former rain unto the earth. |
| 4 | 以法蓮歟、我將何以待爾、猶大歟、我將何以待爾、蓋爾之仁義、有若朝雲、又如速消之露、 | O Ephraim, what shall I do unto thee? O Judah, what shall I do unto thee? for your goodness is as a morning cloud, and as the early dew it goeth away. |
| 5 | 故我藉諸先知削斵之、以我口之言誅戮之、我之審鞫、若光之見、 | Therefore have I hewed them by the prophets; I have slain them by the words of my mouth: and thy judgments are as the light that goeth forth. |
| 6 | 我欲矜恤、不欲祭祀、欲識上帝之知識、愈於燔祭、 | For I desired mercy, and not sacrifice; and the knowledge of God more than burnt offerings. |
| 7 | 彼爽約若他人、而欺罔我、 | But they like men have transgressed the covenant: there have they dealt treacherously against me. |
| 8 | 基列乃行惡者之邑、爲血沾染、 | Gilead is a city of them that work iniquity, and is polluted with blood. |
| 9 | 譬彼羣盜、伏而伺人、祭司亦會於示劍之途、肆行殺戮、邪惡是作、 | And as troops of robbers wait for a man, so the company of priests murder in the way by consent: for they commit lewdness. |
| 10 | 在以色列家、我見可憎之事、以法蓮行淫、以色列被玷、 | I have seen an horrible thing in the house of Israel: there is the whoredom of Ephraim, Israel is defiled. |
| 11 | 猶大歟、我返我民之俘囚時、必有爲爾所定之果報、 | Also, O Judah, he hath set an harvest for thee, when I returned the captivity of my people. |
