1	日暮、二天使至所多瑪、時、羅得坐於邑門、見之、遂起迎迓、伏地而拜、	And there came two angels to Sodom at even; and Lot sat in the gate of Sodom: and Lot seeing them rose up to meet them; and he bowed himself with his face toward the ground;
2	曰、吾主請返、以臨僕舍、濯足而宿、夙興以行、曰、否、我將竟夕於衢、	And he said, Behold now, my lords, turn in, I pray you, into your servant’s house, and tarry all night, and wash your feet, and ye shall rise up early, and go on your ways. And they said, Nay; but we will abide in the street all night.
3	羅得亟促之、乃旋踵、入其室、遂爲之設筵、炊無酵餅、天使食之、	And he pressed upon them greatly; and they turned in unto him, and entered into his house; and he made them a feast, and did bake unleavened bread, and they did eat.
4	未及寢、所多瑪邑人、少長咸集、環其室、	But before they lay down, the men of the city, even the men of Sodom, compassed the house round, both old and young, all the people from every quarter:
5	呼羅得曰、昏暮就汝之人何在、可出之、遂吾所欲、	And they called unto Lot, and said unto him, Where are the men which came in to thee this night? bring them out unto us, that we may know them.
6	羅得出、閉門而就之、	And Lot went out at the door unto them, and shut the door after him,
7	曰、請我兄弟、勿作斯惡、	And said, I pray you, brethren, do not so wickedly.
8	我有二女、尚未適人、容我出之、任爾所爲、惟此二人、旣臨我舍、請毋擾之、	Behold now, I have two daughters which have not known man; let me, I pray you, bring them out unto you, and do ye to them as is good in your eyes: only unto these men do nothing; for therefore came they under the shadow of my roof.
9	衆曰、退、又曰、斯人旅於斯土、乃欲爲士師、今將害爾、較彼尤甚、遂迫羅得、徑前欲破其門、	And they said, Stand back. And they said again, This one fellow came in to sojourn, and he will needs be a judge: now will we deal worse with thee, than with them. And they pressed sore upon the man, even Lot, and came near to break the door.
10	天使手援羅得入、而閉其門、	But the men put forth their hand, and pulled Lot into the house to them, and shut to the door.
11	使衆於門外、少長目眯、索門致倦、○	And they smote the men that were at the door of the house with blindness, both small and great: so that they wearied themselves to find the door.
12	二人謂羅得曰、於此、爾尚有所屬乎、或子、或女、或壻、及邑中屬爾者、俱攜之出、	And the men said unto Lot, Hast thou here any besides? son in law, and thy sons, and thy daughters, and whatsoever thou hast in the city, bring them out of this place:
13	我將滅此一方、因其罪惡甚大、聲聞於耶和華、故遣我滅之、	For we will destroy this place, because the cry of them is waxen great before the face of the Lord; and the Lord hath sent us to destroy it.
14	羅得出、告聘其女之壻曰、爾起出此、耶和華將滅是邑、其壻聞之、以爲戲言、	And Lot went out, and spake unto his sons in law, which married his daughters, and said, Up, get you out of this place; for the Lord will destroy this city. But he seemed as one that mocked unto his sons in law.
15	及旦、天使促羅得曰、起、挈若妻、曁在此二女、恐因斯邑之罪、共罹滅亡、	And when the morning arose, then the angels hastened Lot, saying, Arise, take thy wife, and thy two daughters, which are here; lest thou be consumed in the iniquity of the city.
16	羅得遲延、二人執其手、與妻及女、咸引之出、置於邑外、蓋耶和華矜之也、	And while he lingered, the men laid hold upon his hand, and upon the hand of his wife, and upon the hand of his two daughters; the Lord being merciful unto him: and they brought him forth, and set him without the city.
17	旣出、謂之曰、爾其遁逃、以全生命、毋返顧、毋止平原、宜避於山、免爾滅亡、	And it came to pass, when they had brought them forth abroad, that he said, Escape for thy life; look not behind thee, neither stay thou in all the plain; escape to the mountain, lest thou be consumed.
18	羅得曰、主歟、勿爾、	And Lot said unto them, Oh, not so, my Lord:
19	僕蒙爾恩、大施仁慈、以全我生、今我不能避於山、恐遭災禍而殞、	Behold now, thy servant hath found grace in thy sight, and thou hast magnified thy mercy, which thou hast shewed unto me in saving my life; and I cannot escape to the mountain, lest some evil take me, and I die:
20	前有一邑、旣小且近、容我遁彼、以全我生、此非蕞爾之區乎、	Behold now, this city is near to flee unto, and it is a little one: Oh, let me escape thither, (is it not a little one?) and my soul shall live.
21	曰、斯事我亦允爾、所言之邑、我不翦滅、	And he said unto him, See, I have accepted thee concerning this thing also, that I will not overthrow this city, for the which thou hast spoken.
22	汝其速遁於彼、蓋爾未至、吾不能有所爲、故其邑名曰瑣珥、○	Haste thee, escape thither; for I cannot do any thing till thou be come thither. Therefore the name of the city was called Zoar.
23	羅得入瑣珥時、日已出、	The sun was risen upon the earth when Lot entered into Zoar.
24	耶和華自天雨火硫於所多瑪、蛾摩拉、	Then the Lord rained upon Sodom and upon Gomorrah brimstone and fire from the Lord out of heaven;
25	於是城邑、平壤、居民、及土所產、無不毀滅、	And he overthrew those cities, and all the plain, and all the inhabitants of the cities, and that which grew upon the ground.
26	羅得妻隨行返顧、變爲鹽柱、	But his wife looked back from behind him, and she became a pillar of salt.
27	亞伯拉罕夙興、至昔立於耶和華前之處、	And Abraham gat up early in the morning to the place where he stood before the Lord:
28	瞻望所多瑪蛾摩拉、與平原全境、見其烟燄上騰、如出於爐、○	And he looked toward Sodom and Gomorrah, and toward all the land of the plain, and beheld, and, lo, the smoke of the country went up as the smoke of a furnace.
29	當上帝殄滅平原諸邑、傾覆羅得所居之邑時、眷念亞伯拉罕、拯羅得出於災、○	And it came to pass, when God destroyed the cities of the plain, that God remembered Abraham, and sent Lot out of the midst of the overthrow, when he overthrew the cities in the which Lot dwelt.
30	羅得懼居瑣珥、挈二女去彼、而入於山、同處巖穴、	And Lot went up out of Zoar, and dwelt in the mountain, and his two daughters with him; for he feared to dwell in Zoar: and he dwelt in a cave, he and his two daughters.
31	長女謂季女曰、吾父已老、斯土又無人與我爲偶、以循人道、	And the firstborn said unto the younger, Our father is old, and there is not a man in the earth to come in unto us after the manner of all the earth:
32	莫若使父飲酒、而與偕寢、以存其後、	Come, let us make our father drink wine, and we will lie with him, that we may preserve seed of our father.
33	是夜飲父以酒、長女與之寢、女之臥起、父不及知、	And they made their father drink wine that night: and the firstborn went in, and lay with her father; and he perceived not when she lay down, nor when she arose.
34	翌日、長女謂季女曰、我昨與父偕寢、今夕仍飲以酒、爾可偕寢、以存其後、	And it came to pass on the morrow, that the firstborn said unto the younger, Behold, I lay yesternight with my father: let us make him drink wine this night also; and go thou in, and lie with him, that we may preserve seed of our father.
35	是夜亦飲父以酒、季女偕寢、女之臥起、父亦不知、	And they made their father drink wine that night also: and the younger arose, and lay with him; and he perceived not when she lay down, nor when she arose.
36	如是、羅得二女由父懷姙、	Thus were both the daughters of Lot with child by their father.
37	長女生子、命名摩押、爲摩押族之祖、	And the firstborn bare a son, and called his name Moab: the same is the father of the Moabites unto this day.
38	季女亦生子、命名便亞米、爲亞捫族之祖、	And the younger, she also bare a son, and called his name Ben–ammi: the same is the father of the children of Ammon unto this day.
