| 1 | 書亞人比勒達曰、 | Then answered Bildad the Shuhite, and said, |
| 2 | 爾尋言詞、何時而止、爾其思之、我則與言、 | How long will it be ere ye make an end of words? mark, and afterwards we will speak. |
| 3 | 曷以我儕爲獸、目中視爲不潔、 | Wherefore are we counted as beasts, and reputed vile in your sight? |
| 4 | 爾以忿怒破裂己身、豈得緣爾故、大地見棄、磐石移其所哉、 | He teareth himself in his anger: shall the earth be forsaken for thee? and shall the rock be removed out of his place? |
| 5 | 夫惡人之光必滅、其焰不耀、 | Yea, the light of the wicked shall be put out, and the spark of his fire shall not shine. |
| 6 | 其幕之光必暗、其上之燈必熄、 | The light shall be dark in his tabernacle, and his candle shall be put out with him. |
| 7 | 健壯之步履、將見狹隘、自設之計謀、轉致傾覆、 | The steps of his strength shall be straitened, and his own counsel shall cast him down. |
| 8 | 其足陷之於網羅、自行於羈絆、 | For he is cast into a net by his own feet, and he walketh upon a snare. |
| 9 | 樊籠拑其踵、機檻拘其身、 | The gin shall take him by the heel, and the robber shall prevail against him. |
| 10 | 繩索爲之藏於土、罟擭爲之設於途、 | The snare is laid for him in the ground, and a trap for him in the way. |
| 11 | 威烈四起、使之驚惶、追逐其後、 | Terrors shall make him afraid on every side, and shall drive him to his feet. |
| 12 | 其力因飢而衰、禍患俟於其側、 | His strength shall be hungerbitten, and destruction shall be ready at his side. |
| 13 | 其肌膚被噬、其肢體爲死亡之長子所吞、 | It shall devour the strength of his skin: even the firstborn of death shall devour his strength. |
| 14 | 彼必見拔於所恃之幕、攜詣威烈之王、 | His confidence shall be rooted out of his tabernacle, and it shall bring him to the king of terrors. |
| 15 | 非彼所屬、將居其幕、硫磺播於其處、 | It shall dwell in his tabernacle, because it is none of his: brimstone shall be scattered upon his habitation. |
| 16 | 其根槁於下、其枝翦於上、 | His roots shall be dried up beneath, and above shall his branch be cut off. |
| 17 | 其誌必沒於寰宇、其名不傳於街衢、 | His remembrance shall perish from the earth, and he shall have no name in the street. |
| 18 | 將被驅逐、自光入暗、屛之出於世界、 | He shall be driven from light into darkness, and chased out of the world. |
| 19 | 在其民中、無子無孫、於其居所、靡有孑遺、 | He shall neither have son nor nephew among his people, nor any remaining in his dwellings. |
| 20 | 後人駭異其日、如前人之恐惶、 | They that come after him shall be astonied at his day, as they that went before were affrighted. |
| 21 | 惡人之家、誠如此、不識上帝者之境遇、亦如此、 | Surely such are the dwellings of the wicked, and this is the place of him that knoweth not God. |
